As students enter the classroom, they would see tiered seats in a half circle, with a single desk on the platform at wall facing the seats. They were carefully arranged in a stagger pattern, so no student would have their views blocked by anything in front of them. The seats were wood, with light padding, so the students were not uncomfortable, but not so comfortable that they'd fall asleep with ease. The desks were simple enough wooden desks, with a carefully carved well to place an inkpot in. They all had a small shelf under the seats, so they could place their bags and spare books.
The floor was a simple, deep blue carpet, comfortable to stand or walk on, and kept quite clean. The ceiling was either painted or Charmed to look like a lovely summer day. When it got dark, it was clear it was at least partly Charmed, because the sun cast a nice, warm light. The teacher's desk was an elegant piece, carved to look like the legs and corners were trees. The top of the desk held a stack of books in one corner, an inkwell in another, a stack of papers in the middle, and a single picture facing the teacher's seat. The chair was large, comfortable, and a deep red, figured with a silver moon on the head rest.
Professor Lithiyane was at the back of the room, just waiting quietly. "You all may choose your seats. I trust that, as you have passed your O.W.L.S, you're old enough and mature enough to remember that I do hate trying to allow house divisiveness, and that I prefer cooperation. Other then that, have at. Please leave books and parchment in your bags, we will be doing an active lesson on Silent Casting this afternoon."

Addison smiled as she entered the Charms classroom. This was her favorite class, and the one she was looking forward to attending most. Seeing that she was the first in the classroom so far, she took a seat toward the front of the room. She slipped her bookbag into the small basket under her chair, ensuring it would be out of the way. Pulling her wand out of an inside pocket in her robes, she placed it on her desk before turning to face Professor Lithiyane and saying, "Hello, Professor. How was your summer?"

Waiting for the teacher's answer, Addison looked around the room, her smile growing larger as she took in the sight of the ceiling, before lowering her gaze to the stack of books on the teacher's desk, running through the titles in her head to see if she had read or heard of any of them.

Smiling to herself as she entered the Charms classroom, Elijah took a seat near the back. Only a Ravenclaw and Professor Lithiyane was in the room at the moment, so the seventh year didn't bother to go and socialize. She had never really felt comfortable just chatting with a professor, it made her feel awkward.

Swiping her hair out of her eyes, Elijah placed her bag on the ground next to her chair. She fingered her wand that held in it's sleeve holder. Her mum had put that it for her after third year when she started to get bullied. When fourth year came, no one bullied Elijah because she had become quick with her wand and would deliver a wonderful stinging hex if they dared.

The professor smiled at the two who had entered. "It was well enough, Ms. Flynn. And yours?" She watched Ms. Solomon take a seat at the back, thoughtful some, but waits for the others, planning to get them started as soon as possible. "Any idea who will be late?"

Xurdion rushed down the stairs and onto the level the charms classroom was on. "Oh bloody hell..." He muttered as he pushed past a few students that were also on their way towards class. He was not going to be late for his first day back at classes. "Bloody, sodding hell." He was cutting it close, he had only a few seconds left and the charms classroom door was a few feet in front of him. He pushed the door open, almost dropping his books, and went inside. He looked at the time and found that they still had plenty of time. "You must be blooming joking!" He muttered under his breath, he gave a reluctant sigh as he walked over to his seat and set his things down. He sat down and waited for class to begin. "So proffessor, it's good to see you're doing well." He said, he was breathing hard from trying to get to class on time which he had just realized was for naught. He licked his lower lip before biting it, it had become a habit ever since he left for London a few months earlier. He drummed his fingers on the desk as he waited for class to start but soon grew bored of it so he stopped and just stared at the door.

Lori pushed her way through a group of first years, slipping a dungbomb into one of their bookbags. A few seconds later, she could hear the kid's friends accusing him of farting. She laughed silently as she headed towards the Charms classroom. "Oldest trick in the book," She muttered happily as she turned the corner, still listening to the accusations. Adjusting her bookbag, she pushed her way through the crowded corridor. Ooo, a little jinx could clear the area right up, she thought wistfully as she walked briskly down the hall, her eyes which were violet today, glancing at the younger kids, searching for a good victim. As she approached the door to the Charms classroom, she quickly slipped yet another dungbom into a fourth year's bag. Within seconds, she was in the charms room, leaving the fourth year to sort out the dungbomb for herself. Looking around, she gave a small wave to the teacher as she headed over to the seat behind Xurdion's. Dropping her things with a heavy crash next to the desk, she sat down, taking out one of her many signature chocolate cigars. Sticking it in her mouth, she grinned, leaning back in her chair, waiting for the class to begin.

Xurdion sighed, waiting was boring him and the professor obviously wasn't starting class soon so he pulled out a black box, it was slightly worn down and had quite a number of scratches on it. He turned around and faced Lori as he put the box onto the desk. "How about some wizard's chess?" He asked with a smile as he opened the box and pulled out the board, he placed it onto her desk and began to pull out the pieces. He placed white first on his side because he liked to go first. Then he placed the dark red pieces on Lori's side before folding his hands and waiting for her acknowledgement. "Pawn from E2 to E4." He said as the king's pawn moved up two spaces. "Your move." That was always his signature opening move. While he waited he examined his new pieces, he just got them from Diagon ally since all of his old ones were either gone or destroyed, except for the black queen which was still in the box. This one was a midevil set, complete with actual knights but he enjoyed the pawns the best, they were foot soldiers with flails and longswords, he just thought they were the coolest ones. "Luckily these were relatively cheap so they shouldn't be to hard to replace, I bought a whole bunch while I was in diagon ally. Anyway, your move."

Professor Lithiyane nodded as the other two students entered, then her brows drew together. "Lori. No sweets in class. You don't want a repeat of the incident were I turned it dungbomb flavored, do you?" She turns to Xurdion. "And Chess is for out of the classrooms, please put that away. Be prepared for class, not play."

"Yes professor." Xurdion replied obediantly as he gathered the pieces and board back into the box. He slipped it back into his messenger bag that was by his desk and waited, scratching the back of his neck. He couldn't help but laugh as he recalled what happened when the professor turned Lori's sweet into a dungbomb flavor. "I must admit that was pretty good. Almost as good as the time when you enchanted one of my pawns from the chessboard and it wrecked havok around the classroom for ten minutes...guess old habits die hard. So, how was your break, professor?" Any of his friends could tell that he was trying to get on the teacher's good side for the new quarter but he hoped that the professor wouldn't. He was fiddling with a licorice wand in his sleeve while he waited for a response. He hadn't eaten yet and he could feel his hunger gnawing at him.

Lori sighed. "Oh, but professor, I've enchanted this batch so that you can't enchant it again." She smiled sweetly as she took the cigar out of her mouth. "You see, I learn things." Taking out her wand, Lori tapped the chocolate, murmured something incomprehensible, and waited. In an instant, the room was filled with the aroma of honeydukes chocolate. She breathed in. "Mmm, smells good, no?" Lori ate the rest of the chocolate in one second, swallowing it. And yet, the aroma lingered. "Nothing like chocolate to get a class started." Lori said, grinning after she made sure there was no chocolate on her teeth. Jeez, wish I had thought to slip a dungbomb in her bag, Lori thought.

The professor raised a brow at Xurdion's toadying. No teacher worth their salt would miss it, and she simply said "It was a good break." She then turned to Lori, a smile, the sort of sweet smile that suggested some one was about to regret their decisions, slid onto her face. "Well then. I'll just have to..." She pulled her wand out, and tapped Lori's bag, upon which, all tricks within floated out, and hung around Lori's head, just out of reach. "Report each and everyone of these items to the Caretaker, and mark you for detention, every night this week. Also, as much as I hate to do this to my own house, 20 points from Ravenclaw, for sassing and breaking rules when I've expressly warned you about them in previous years."

At the sound of point deduction Xurdion raised his eyebrows and sat straight up. His face turned pale and his hand started to shake, for some reason it always happened when points were deducted. He slipped the licorice wand back into it's compartment in his sleeve so he wouldn't get it confiscated and be forced to go to detention. "B-but professor, wouldn't it just be enough to give her detention so that our house won't have to suffer? I would gladly go to detention with her if it means that our house points wouldn't be deducted." He always did this same thing every time house points were deducted and so far it hasn't worked out. They had worked so hard to get ahead of Slytherin and he wouldn't let it slip by easily. His face was still pale when he cast a glare at Lori which said "way to go, now we'll all have to suffer". Color slowly started to return to his face as he awaited a reply, he had a bad feeling in his gut but more importantly he didn't want to lose house points.

((Um, she didn't have anything other that school supplies in her bag...))

Lori kept an impassible look on her face as she looked up. "Ah, well, that floating thing might have been good in theory," she said, "but taking away my school supplies isn't helping the cause." Jeez am I glad I don't carry anything more than I use at a time, she thought, knowing how she had used her only two dungbombs. Lori always had mail every night from Hogsmeade's prank shop and tended to hide them well. Hence the fact that instead of tricks floating over her head, there was at least fifty pounds of heavy textbooks, several sharp quills, and parchment hovering over her head. "I would recommend not dropping those things on my head, if you please, ma'am," she said camly. Your Highness, Lori thought, though her face was still impassive, not showing a flicker of what she was thinking or feeling.

A tall and lanky sixth year was rushing past students on their way to class. 'Oh, God,' he thought, 'I'm going to be late. I'll have to beg the professor not to take away points.' The student bumped into a few other people on his way to class, but managed to make it to the door with little incident. Before walking inside he stopped, stood up striaght and made sure that he looked normal, and not like a kid who had gotten out of bed late and ran through countless corridors and staircases to get to class on time. Unfortunately his attempts were vain. The boy's wavy brown hair that usually looked somewhat kempt was shaggy and stuck up in a few places. 'Oh well,' he thought, 'I'll sort it out after class,' the boy took a breath and calmly stepped in. He sighed in relief when it looked like the professor was busy with two other students.

The boy, whose name was Jordan, took a seat a few rows back from the front desk and quietly took out his book, quill, and wand. He was particualrly excited to use his new quick notes quill he had recieved for christmas. He only hoped that the professor wouldn't mind.

"Xurdion, I dislike it myself, but really, it's about time Lori began to act like a 7th year... not a 3rd year with a chip on her shoulder the size of the American Continent Plate." She looks down at Lori, her brows raised. "You are not representing your house well with your tricks, evidence or not. Your pranks aren't even very clever. A true Ravenclaw would find ways to create pranks of their own, that in the end, even the pranked enjoyed... Because that's true cleverness, pulling it off so that all enjoy it. And no one needs scrub out their bag later." She paused, then added "And I'm not stupid... Any pranks aimed my way in the near future will be laid at your feet, as you're the one with a grudge towards me... So I suggest you make sure no one has any 'clever ideas', unless you fancy lots of detention."
She turned, noting Jordan's entrance. "Book, parchment, and quill away, Jordan. Today's lesson is active. And requires concentration of the mind, not the pen." She smiles genially at him, for all she'd been irritated with Lori moments before.
