A yawn slipped from the mare as she began slowly walking around. She didn't like to be alone, it was uncomfortable for her. She felt exposed and wanted to hide somewhere, but there was no where to go. Asami let her blue eyes wander around slowly as she began to hum to herself. A sweet melody that was so quiet it would be hard to hear by others around. The tune kept the mare from being absorbed by the silence that surrounded her. One of her ears twitched, making the white bow in her mane move slightly. Surprisingly she would rather be with her sometimes cruel brothers than be out her alone wandering to who knew where.
Asami was usually wandering around, but in the shadows of trees. Most would think she was shy, but in reality she wasn't shy at all... not once you got to know her a little and she got to know you. Her orange and brown tail, the perfect combination of her parent's tail colors, flicked slightly behind her. The clothes on her back made it hard for bugs to try to eat her alive, but once they were under her clothes they were hard to get out. Asami flicked her tail once again then shook a little to get the bug off of her. The biting ended and Asami began her walk agian, humming her quiet tune as she went.

Wandering silently through the forest Maion looked for any material he could collect to use as bedding, he wanted his cave to have a more homely feeling yet he didn’t completely understand why he was suddenly doing that now since he had lived there all of his life. His Mother had tended to his needs and cared for their home while she was alive but she had neglected to teach him the correct methods to duplicate her actions. Sighing softly he walked, his hoof digging into the soft turf as he moved, his muscles rippling with each movement.
Suddenly his stomach grumbled and growled, it had been at least a day since his last feeding, yet his mind had been very distracted lately. Sighing he continued walking, eyes scanning the surroundings in a smooth motion, he couldn’t sense any creatures larger than a fox around but that did not mean there was nothing stalking in the shadows, still and silent waiting for their time to attack. As he scanned he noticed a small berry bush, it’s ripped red berries looked succulent under the dim light that broke through the leaf canopy above him. He trotted towards them softly; hunger driving him forward as he began to n** gently at the luscious red berries. They where juice and as he ate them their juices dribbled tenderly around his mouth.

Asami continued to move forward, letting her eyes wander. It didn't seem that bad to be out alone. Her tail twitched nervously. No, not bad at all. There was nothing to fear... the few friends she met weren't bad. Not at all, so most of the world would be like that, correct? The mare questioned herself as she strolled along. The only cruel creature she had ever met was her brother, who only teased and nipped. Maybe he was the only one? Asami puffed herself up a little. Her brother wouldn't be happy with the childish way she was acting. He'd probably want her to act more tough... right? She sighed at her thoughts. The mare had too many questions, but usually never found the answer to those questions.
A sound of bushes rustling made Asami's head quickly lift and her ears flick up. It was simply the wind, thats all. She began to hum again, the sound of her voice making her feel a little more comfortable. Asami hadn't met many others... maybe thats why she was slightly jumpy at this moment. She was used to her big family being around, ready to protect her, but now she was alone. She was old enough to leave her parents without them having to worry too much about her. She was bigger now and less vulnerable. Her humming grew louder as she walked along, drowning out any other noises made.

As he continued to eat the delicious berries he heard a noise, instantly freezing his actions he watched and listened to his surroundings, it seemed that someone larger than a fox was around now. Pulling himself away he wondered if it would be a Kalona or a Skinwalker, yet his knowledge of them told him that they rarely ventured to these parts, therefore it was more likely to be someone from the herd that resided near here.
Stretching his wings high in the sky above him he flexed each of the muscle to ensure he was prepared to fly away at the first sign of trouble. Pulling them tightly back towards his body he felt their warmth caress his body. He was ready, taking a deep breath he waited and listened for a moment longer.
The movements seemed unthreatening to him, and he felt that calling out would at least gain their attention, "Hello?" He placed a gentle glistening smile onto his lips as he continued, "Anyone there?" Elijah wiggled softly in his main before settling down once more.

At the slight sound of what she thought was another's voice, Asami stopped her humming. Was she imagining things, or was someone truly around? Her blue eyes wandered then she noticed... stars? She blinked once and then a second time. She must be going mad, the sun was up and yet there were stars out? Curiosity got the best of the mare and she trotted towards the black and white stallion.
When she got close enough, she noticed a horn and huge wings. This stallion had the horn of her one friend and the wings of the other colt she remembered running into.
"Hello." Her voice chimed as she watched the stallion's movements. His mane moved and Asami blinked. Was something under there? Asami's eyes then lowered to the bandages around his front legs which had stains of... was that blood? "Are you alright?" She ventured, her blue eyes meeting with the stallion's.

Maion watched curiosity as the figure of a young mare approached, she was wearing clothing that he did not recognise yet it suited her. Smiling he bowed his head in respect before matching her eye contact once more, her eyes seemed a similar colour to his own, a bright sparkling blue. He noted that her eyes had scanned his body, pausing for a moment on his bandages, his wounds had not healed well yet they caused him little discomfort now, he used them as a reminder of that terrible day.
Suppressing the memories softly he continued to smile at her before returning her greeting, "Hello." As she expressed her concerned he smiled, he felt fine, so chuckling softly he replied. "I am fine thank you, yourself?"
Watching her he allowed his eyes to wander over the details of her clothing for a moment before speaking, his voice as strong as usual. "Name’s Maion."

No harm had come to her yet. This mare wasn't like her brothers. Not at all. He seemed more caring than they were. She let a smile grace her maw as she listened to his strong voice. The mare watched his movements closely. He didn't seem to want to cause Asami harm in anyway. She let her thoughts fade as she listened closely to his name.
Maion, it seemed fitting for this stallion. Though, she didn't know any names that weren't fitting for the soquili she had met in her past. Each name was different and interesting. The names fit their owner's well.
Realizing that she was just staring, Asami quickly spoke. "Oh, I'm fine. My name is Asami." Why didn't this stallion have clothing? She just realized the fact. As a foal she and her siblings didn't have clothing, but once they grew older each had a new attire. Her two brothers wore blue while she wore black, like her father.

Cocking his head slowly he locked at Asami, her name was very pretty and he wandered what it could mean. It suited her though either way. Yet as he watched her he noted that she was starring, it seemed to be a common occurrence these days, shaking his mane gently he attempted to shake away the self-conscious feeling that floated over his body like the Ocean over the rocks at the bas of his Mountain.
Smiling he took a few more steps towards her, as suddenly an image of the lake and Moon flashed before his eyes, her beauty still lingered in his mind even now, forcing himself to suppress it he continued to smile, looking past Asami to the forest behind her, it was teaming with life, small creatures and animals that loved to play in the lazy suns rays as they licked the land. Drifting, his eyes connected with Asami’s clothes once more before he looked her in the eyes, he spoke, his words soft yet strong, “Fancy a walk?”

Her ears flicked towards a sound of leaves chattering amongst themselves. The wind was blowing gently, making the trees look almost as if they were dancing. A smile graced the mare's maw as she looked at the stallion. Night was her favorite time. The bright stars that danced around the sky and the cool air that usually wasn't too cold.
When he spoke, she let one ear flick his direction while the other continued to listen to the leaves' chatter. "Yes." She said simply. This stallion wasn't like her brothers. Completely different from the two of them, not only in appearance but the way he acted. Maion was more polite than her two brothers.

Smiling he slowly began to walk in a westward bound direction, he felt a tie to the east and the west as the Sun rose and slept in those directions, it was almost unnatural to travel north or south for too long, yet the night air was strong within his lungs as it floated happily towards them on the breeze, capturing his glossy locks and carrying them carelessly along with them. His thoughts drifted to Elijah for a moment, she would not be overly pleased at having to untangle his mattered locks once more. Sighing he shifted the thought from his mind and refocused them towards his new companion, Asami. He was curious about her nature, what was it that made her who she was. He spoke softly as he walked, although his voice maintained its deep tone, “Do you have any family Asami?” He allowed his mind to think of his Mother for a moment. She had known no other member of his family although he knew the tails of their ancestry, it always felt as if something was lacking within him.

Asami followed close behind the male. Her tail flicking slightly as she stayed near him. He was rather big and it seemed like others would not try to hurt him and since he came out of a fight pretty well, minus a few cuts on his front legs, he must be good at keeping himself and others safe. She focused back on the conversation with this new stallion. He seemed like he would be a good friend. "Yes, a big family." She began while thinking about all those that lived in the same place as her parents. "I have two brothers, my mother and father, and then uncles on my father's side." She thought about it a little more. "How about you? Do you have any family?"

"None that live" he said, his words perhaps harsher than he had anticipated, for in his mind they seemed nought but harmless. The truth was that his Mother was dead, left one day and simply never returned, it was around this time that Maion began to venture out on his own, courage allowing him to take one extra step outside of his cave each day until finally he jumped from the high cliff, plummeting towards the ground for what seemed like an eternity until finally the gift of flight was gifted to him. A strange way to learn perhaps, but a way none the less. He knew that in life his Mother had loved him dear, teaching him the ways of their breed as best she could, yet it felt that there was so much missing from his knowledge that now he sought out such knowledge.
Although he had no family to speak of he knew deep within himself that he wanted one, foals to watch grow up, a mare to protect with all his strength. That would be his paradise on Earth. Yet with each step he took on his journey such dreams simply appeared foolish, a fantasy that had no possibly of coming true. A shame.
Stopping in his tracks he turned his head to face her, she seemed strangely beautiful to him in that moment, radiating like the sun, her hair appearing for a moment to be a light with all the comic energy of the universe. Shaking his head he shifted these thoughts away, looking to the ground. His eyes lingering on the blades of grass as the danced and shifted in the ground. It seemed that once again he was being foolish. Raising himself once more he attempted to regain some composure through his words, "I would like a family though." He laughed, head raised into the ground as he looked at the actual soon. "One day."
