So I've got some basic supplies, but I'm still in need of maybe a good place to get others and maybe some criticism.
I have all the tools I need.
I was going to make the lenses out of some Plexiglas leftovers I have. With either a Router or a Coping saw, either works.
if anyone has dimensions they could offer so I don't need to measure quite so much on an average lense that would be nice.
I was going to buy some brass, probably age it and bend it to shape, since I have no way to either melt or mold my actual frames.
Probably going to use some leather on the interior near where the frame would meet my face to reduce abrasions or injury from edges incase I don't file it correctly.
If anyone is decent with metalwork and knows a way I could make the metal the shape that I need for the frames without warping the metal that would be nice, I intended on welding the interior edges together where the 2 ends of metal would come together, or atleast Soldering them.
Rivet a holder onto the brass for the band.
So basically, if anyone knows a better way, or sees something I might have missed, knows a way to age brass without it looking ridiculous, and any other method you know to help with the goggles it would be great if you shared.
