Istas shook her head, her mane flying out before settling back against her neck. She huffed a little, looking behind her making sure Amitola hadn't been following. It wasn't that she didn't like him. They were friends sinc they were foals, but his flirting with her sometimes got her a little confused. She'd banter back with her own pick up lines or something but the look in his eye when he said things changed. She shook it off and trotted forward. She went to the near by river to get something to drink, as she did her eyes focus on the reflection of the sky. "That jerk doesn't know how lucky he is." She mumbled some, watching the clouds. "I wish I could fly..." She sighed lightly. She hadn't been feeling so free spirited lately. She lost her best friend to the darker side, who knew if she'd ever see her again. Then all her other friends where starting families.
The light pelted female lifted her head and looked up at the sky, her heart feeling a bit heavy. Whenever someone asked her about settling down, they assumed it was a male. She had never any luck with males... And even then settling down? Her family was so messed up she was scared it was genetic. She shook her head again and looked around. "The sky is the limit, and I will reah it one day... I will do and be my best!" She nodded.

Misti sipped softly at the cooling liquid as it flowed gently from its source, it had been such a long exhausting day that had only brought relief as the last foal had been collected from the day care centre. The sun was setting on the world she held so dearly in her heart; surveying the surroundings with her eyes she noted the flames of orange, red and purple licking the horizon as it sank into the nothingness of night. Of course the night was also beautiful but the day would always be her favourite time of day, such a burst of happiness and life. Every day that she had travelled with Ehren had revealed newfound wonders, storied that needed to be passed on, and creatures that peeked her curiosity. She felt reborn, as if the world had been so closed before yet as she became more open towards it the more she came to love it. Although she could not recall her original name she liked Misti, it tied her in with nature itself, changing and unpredictable. It had been a good choice for her, like the mist that impaired your view it reminded her that there was much more about her than superficial visions. Her hopes, dreams and wishes where all hidden, locked deep with her heart until their time had come to be released into the world around her.
As she continued to sip the cooling liquid she heard a noise approaching, raising her head she watched as a dainty mare walked towards the river also. She seemed somehow distraught, mumbling words she did not understand to herself. Unsure of what to do Misti remained still, watching as the other mare gentle sipped at the liquid also. There seemed to be something weighting heavily on her mind.
Experience had taught her that not everyone appreciated being approached, especially when they where drinking yet something tugged her from inside, she felt as if she needed to do something. Walking slowly towards the pale pelted mare she allowed a small apprehensive smile to lace her lips gently, the ground was soft and she found her hooves sinking softly with each step. Yet determined she continued forward. As the mare looked to the sky she allowed her eyes to join her also, the sky looked clouded now. The colours from the setting sun fading into the blanket of night. Odd stars twinkled their magic above them, yet it seemed quite plain and ordinary considering, yet at the other mare spoke it was obvious that she longed to able to see it closer. A sudden guilt flooded her, moving her wings in and effort to hide them she felt saddened.
Before she could stop herself she lowered her head and spoke to the mare, "You will reach them one day, I am sure."

Istas had no idea that the other female was near by. Sometimes she was just so oblivious to the things around her. She looked over at her and gave a small smile. This was the girl that Amitola had introduced her to a few days back. She was sure of it. She wasn't forgettable. Istas found her staring yet again at the lovely female with her long ringlets of green and her large wings.
"I'm not so sure about that." She laughed some, trying to pull her eyes away from her. She wasn't all that ready to confide in someone other then Amitola about her thoughts. "It's Misti right?" She wanted ot double check the name, but she was pretty sure that was right... She wouldn't want to forget her name for some reason.
"What are you doing today?" She hoped to change the topic a little.

Misti’s mind drifted as she watched the mares hair sway softly in the gentle breeze, it reminded her of waves on the Ocean, how she loved to sit on the sand beach as the waves pulled her long hair towards it in an effort to entice her into its mighty waves. During her travels she had been told a story, one that she had passed on to the foals in her day care centre, about a unicorn the last of its kind charging into the Ocean to become part of its waves forever dancing and moving as the waves hit the rocks and the shore. Yet it had always been a curiosity to her about how the unicorns had escaped as even she bored the horn of a unicorn. Perhaps they had found a reason to return the land, something that she now was searching for, a purpose to continue her life. She had often considered the possibility that her calling had been to open and run the day care centre, yet it wasn’t enough, that left her with a great longing. She wanted a family, she wanted to find someone who she could love and protect for the rest of her life, someone who would love her in return. Yet throughout her journey no such person had appeared. Of course that had been Ehren, he was sweet Stallion who had protected her and guarded her as she lay injured on the moist forest floor. Although he consumed her first memories she saw him as little more than a close friend.
Snapping out of her daydream she allowed her gaze to refocus on the world around, before her stood the delicate mare that she had met several days before, she seemed to be a timid creature but one with a large heart. As she listened she heard her name, nodding softly she tumbled through her memories again to recall her name, she recalled it being something beautiful, something that reflected the passion she saw burning silently behind her eyes, smiling softly she spoke, her voice fluttering like the near by butterflies. “Istas, right?” Closing her eyes for a brief moment she allowed the images from their first encounter to fill her mind, it had been a beautiful day.
Opening them once more she scanned the floor, small frogs hopped beneath their feet as the attempted to reach the other side of the river, the water continued to splash playfully at her, it was cool and inviting. What are you doing today? The words ran around her mind, she hadn’t really thought about her evening much, her day had been full of joy and laughter, it was almost like the day care centre was a distraction from the world around her, yet now their was silence. Smiling happily she thought of a random activity that she could possibly enjoy inspired by the splashing river below her. “I was thinking of going swimming.” Pausing for a moment she surveyed the mare with the name of Istas, her blue neckerchief hanging softly around her neck, “would you like to join me? Or do you have plans of your own?”
Misti stood, listening to the world around her, the splashing of the river below, the rustling through the leaves in the tree around her and the footprints of animals as they played happily in the last of the days light. She had no idea how the mare would reply.

Istas let her auburn eyes eyes watch the female in front of her. She seemed to fall into a day dream maybe. This caused Istas to smile, she wasn't the only one that did that kind of stuff. She tried to remember what it was that Misti did, it was a day care center. She seemed like she was good with foals. She wondered if she;'d want a family some say. Istas felt that nagging feeling of wanting to raise foals, but shes had to ignore it because no matter how hard she's try she never was able to pair up with a male for very long.
"Mhmm, Istas~" She giggled a little. The bell on her scarf jingled. Something about how she said her name made her happy inside. "Swimming?" She repeated, she couldn't remember if she had ever gone swimming before. "Well, I'm not busy, I might be seeing Amitola a little later, but I think I would enjoy going swimming." She smiled at her, happy for the invite.
Letting her eyes follow the butterflies she tilted her head some. They always seemed to be around Misti. She wondered what it was about her that attracted them.

Misti nodded softly watching Istas reminded her of a delicate smile, and just like some of the foals from her day care she seemed a little fragile still, curious about the world and still attempting to find their way. This brought a small smile to her face, and as she listened to the words being spoken she heard another familiar name, Amitola, he was a very flirtatious stallion, yet from her words it seemed that they where very close, perhaps his flirting was simply a front for him but he would return each night to his love Istas. She didn’t know much about him, other than he was very friendly. Letting out an gentle sigh she allowed her eyes to look to the sky above her, it glittered with a soft ambiance of peace and tranquillity, a swim would do her some good, allow her to relax her well worm muscles after such a long day.
She smiled again, looking back into Istas eyes, she had always enjoyed looking at peoples eyes, they could tell a thousand stories that words simply could never express, she was happy to contemplate all the adventures they had seen. She also believed that they where a keyhole into the persons soul, providing a glimpse into their feelings and thoughts at that very moment in time, magical.
She made a ‘yippeeee’ noise under her breath before speaking once more, “It would be nice to have some company. I rarely like being alone.” And with those words she began the short walk along the river to the Lake, its crystal clear waters emanated a magnificence that could not be described by any words within her vocabulary. It was especially wonderful during the evening with the stars twinkling brightly upon it, shimmering and dancing on its glassy surface.

Istas had looked away looking for the source of some of the noise she had heard but the source was unseen. Her ears swiveled and she giggled a little, as she moved to walk with Misti. She was a bit larger then her in stance, not by much, but it was almost comforting. She watched how her hair bounced with her steps. Istas's bell would jingle as she walked; but it was nothing close to Misti's mesmerizing nature.
When they reached the water Istas snapped herself back to reality. The water looked so pretty, it was almost like it and Misti belonged together; the crystal blues and then her colors... Istas pawed into the ground some, and she walked over to the water and she placed her hooves in. It was warm considered the on coming fall.

As the approached the water Misti watched her new friendly playfully move towards it, strands of her hair dancing in the gentle breeze as the day melted into the night. The water began to reflect the colours of a sun set as an added red glow settled upon the skies. It had been such an intriguing day, so many foals and parents; she was always fascinated by which qualities had been passed onto their children. Yet somehow she felt it would never happen to her, there was simply very few stallions she had ever felt a connection towards and none that she felt where right for a romantic relationship, it was slightly discontenting considering her aching desire to have children of her own.
Suppressing the thought she jolted herself forward, standing next to Istas for a moment as the water splashed happily around her hooves, soaking he fur in an attempt to entice her closer. It worked. Taking a step she found herself deep in the water, the splashes licking her pelt softly as she continued forward. Slowly wadding turned into paddling, which evolved into swimming as she watched the colours dance upon the glossy surface.
She turned her attention towards Istas once more, a smile as gentle and naïve as filly sprawled across her face as she called forwards, her voice shimmering gently upon the breeze, "Care to join me, fair Istas?" She ran the sentence through her mind, why had she used the word fair? A soft red glow covered her cheeks as she lowered it gently into the water to escape her embarrassment.

She watched the water, and when the colors started to change it was like magic. Istas hadn't seen something like this before. She never really noticed the beauty of nature. She was either wrapped up in trying not to care, or not caring. If that makes sense. She felt Misti moved past and when she looked over she had gotten into the water. She watched her for a few minutes and then she called out to her she tilted her head...
Fair? She blushed slightly, and then Misti's head was emerged into the water. She wondered if maybe she saw one of the water creatures... Padded forward, the water started to engulf her body. The warmth felt oddly nice against her skin. She let the water stop around her back, but kept her hooves on the ground... Since she's never really swam before it would be rather embarrassing to drown. She shook her head at herself. She spent her time wanting to go into the sky, not under the water.
Istas shifted, something was tickling her and when she looked she noticed that Misti's hair was being pulled by the current. The color of the hair shimmered in the water. She smiled some... She noticed she was smiling around around Misti. She shook her head trying to get off the thoughts. "Amitola and I have never gone swimming before."

Misti swam slowly in the water its shiny surface reflecting her every movement as her soft red glow disappeared into nothingness due to the cooling depths below her; it was refreshing. Raising her head to the sky once more she swam slowly towards Istas, her hair flowing softly in all directions around her, it would be a pain untangling her later yet it didn’t seem to matter to her. A dimly lit smile covered her lips as she moved closer to her, her ears flicking softly as she spoke. Her voice was soothing, yet there was a word that pinched her insides like a storm crashing into a rocky cliff side, Amitola every conversation Misti and Istas had had seemed to involve Amitola, it was if Istas was trying to constantly remind her that she was taken, it saddened her. Swiftly attempting to shrug the feeling away she spoke, “it’s a lot of fun.” And with that she swam away from Istas, turning her head so that she could watch her before calling towards her, “just copy me.” Even if it would only be for a moment she wanted to share this with Istas, although she was unsure why it was so important to her.

Istas shifted some in the water, she looked so elegant... She looked so natural at it. She leaned forward some, when she called over to her, but she wasn't really able to bring herself to lift her legs. She laughed a little and she paces around on her spot. "I don't want to drown.. that's just be embarrassing... " She laughed again but more nervously. She could feel her admiration for Misti grow. She could swim, and she seemed to mix well with nature, unlike herself.
even though her name meant Snow, Istas was always a little out there. She looked at the other female as she moved gracefully and she looked away. What was she thinking being there with her? She would never have a chance with a mare so lovely and graceful like that...She always felt more comfortable with mares.

Misti’s smile glowed towards Istas as she continued to swim calming in the water, her wings flapping softly beside her sending ripples upon the surface, it seemed that Istas was struggling with some internal turmoil that Misti could not see, since they had only really met once perhaps it would be inappropriate to ask such questions of personal interest. Her travels had brought her to meet lots of interesting characters, some were intriguing to her, they had their quirks and differences that allowed to them stand out in crowd that crawled upon the worlds surface, but something about Istas made her slightly uneasy. It was a feeling she did not understand, something that she did not recognise from anything else she had ever experienced.
Shaking off the thoughts playfully she began to swim back towards Istas and nipped gently at her mane, in an effort to encourage her to open up. She knew that such an action could be considered impolite yet she felt that Istas would forgive her, Misti had always loved and longed the more personal connection with people. She wanted to find the true nature of Istas, the secrets that’s danced behind her beautiful eyes as she looked upon her. The brown speckle contrasted every colour that made her up, it was the speckle of difference that intrigued Misti so. Nature produced such wonderful gifts, and she thanked the fates for allowing her to meet Istas.
Slowly she spoke, "You won’t drown." She giggled softly, her eyes twinkling like small diamonds and her mouth peeled into a warming smile as she continued, "I won’t let that happen to one so beautiful." The compliment seemed to roll from her tongue, yet she was unsure how Istas would take such words, Misti had never met many people who welcomed such remarks, especially from those who were practically a stranger to them. Perhaps Misti’s impatience to learn the truth of Istas had overwhelmed her, yet she did not regret her words, accepted or not they were true in her eyes. Istas was a beautiful as a rose, so delicate and perfect that a slight touch could damage it. There was an impulse within her that wanted to help protect such a treasure, but as Misti considered these thoughts she knew she was moving too fast, she did not want to scare her new friend.

When Misti spoke to her, she looked over. Something about the way she said she wouldn't drown filled her body with a relaxant. She took in a breath, she had nipped at her mane... This was something that caused Istas to look over at Misti. She wasn't angry... She felt nothing negative toward the action... It was almost something happy that settled into her body. This was something she hadn't expected. Whenever stallions got physical with her, she took it almost grudgingly. But this, with this beautiful stranger felt natural. She didn't really understand why, but at this moment she didn't really care. Letting another breath in and out, she followed Misti's voice.
The one voice that had been filled with nothing but kindness and compliments. The caring eyes; Istas couldn't feel anything but free; it was like her soul was soaring through the sky at that very moment, as she stepped out further into the water, letting it engulf her body as swam out some. She hasn't even thought of what she was doing... She wasn't even sure if she had been thinking.
It was like a feeling she had never felt. Her body was pretty much floating in the water, with her hooves bouncing off the bottom once in a while. It was almost like flying.. probably the closest she'd ever get, and it felt so great. All her tension and worries seems to just vanish with this feeling... She had completely missed Misti calling her beautiful... Or had she?

The word had floated around her mind. Just like when she called her fair earlier she had started to fee a blush come on the more she thought about it. She laughed softly, mostly to herself, feeling herself fill with joy. Swimming her way over toward Misti she felt grateful that her new friend had talked to her, and got her to swim. This was an experience that she'd never forget.
"Misti, this is so much fun. I really owe you for getting me to do this." She had forgotten the fear she has earlier conjured in her mind. She let the image of Misti almost burn into her memory with this occasion. This mare... Theres something about her. I want to know her more, and I want to be around her more. She thought to herself. Misti had a good effect on her, even she herself could see that. This was the start of something she couldn't wait for.

Misti listened and watched with an enchanted feeling fluttering within her chest, it had been such a long time since she had felt free. It had been when she had finally managed to take the skies for the first time since the accident that caused her to forget her entire past; she had no memory of her past before meeting her guardian Ehren. He had been so kind to her, this made her think of Istas and they way she often referred to Amitola, perhaps they had a similar relationship, or maybe there was something much more there?
Misti forced herself to suppress the fluttering within herself as she watched and listened, the way the water caught Istas hair, her scarf, and even the colours her eyes reflected from the glistening waters had caught her attention. It was a first, before she had been looking at the world through rose tinted glasses, now she saw it in a new and fresh light.
Smiling she nodded, speaking in her bubbly voice for a moment. "I am glad you agreed," she paused thinking the thought she had allowed to flicker through her mind for only a moment, was it too soon to say such things? Maybe not? Taking a leap of faith she smiled and continued, a soft blush sprawled across her cheeks as her hair bounced happily around her face, "It has defiantly brightened up my day."
Yet as the sun began to set, she felt that this small scene was about to come to its close. It was saddening, but something stirred within her as she blurted out slightly ungracefully, "I WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!"
