Anyone wanna learn Japanese?

Well I'm taking classes right now, and I've been thinking of maybe doing this, but I'm not really sure how I could go about this. Is anyone interested in doing something like this? I would try to post at least every week or every few days.

Feed back and suggestions would be helpful!!

どもありがとう!

YAY! Okay then, first thing is first! Learning Japanese syllables!

LESSON 1

The Japanese writing system is made up of three kind of characters. Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. The first one we will learn is Hiragana.

~Hiragana~

Hiragana are distinguished by their rounded shapes. They are mainly used for native japanese words not covered by Kanji, function words, and conjugation words. (don't worry if that sounds complicated right now, it will all be explained later) There are 46 basic hiragana characters in all, but from the basic 46 we can make 58 more sounds.

I will give you the basic ones first, 5 at a time in actual hiragana script along with the romanized(english) spelling.

First is the vowels:

(a) (i) (u) (e) (o)

The "a" is pronounced as "ah" . The "i" is pronouned like the letter "E" in English like in the word "ink". "u" is pronounced like the double "o" ("oo") in "food". "e" is pronounced the same as English, "eh" like in "epic". "o" is prounounced like its name like in "globe".

Now try and translate these words with the hiragana I've already given you. You can post them here if you want to or just do them in your head or on a paper at home. Its up to you! But just to let you know, INTERACTION IS ENCOURAGING FOR TEACHERS!!! XD Also if you guys can give me some feed back on whether or not you like how I'm conducting the lessons. Would you like to go slower or faster, more explanation or interaction? Let me know! I'm here to help you! 3nodding

あい - love
あおい - blue
いいえ - no
いい - good, fine
ええ - yes (the less formal form, only to be used between close acquaintances or those under you in rank)
おい - hey! (an informal way to catch some one's attention)
