littlesisser Dr Killgood littlesisser ....sniff....... what would the KING say about his fans?! crying King still has fans? eek Yup..and we are as loyal and rabid as Cujo! Oy! Cujo was written a long time ago.. all his recent work is horrible and should be used as nothing more than toilet paper! I wish I had stopped reading him when he started sucking hard, but I didn't. I have read everything he has ever published up until last year and I have been disappointed over and over. He is done and has been for years.. he is now only riding the name he built back when he had talent.. I always said King could wipe his a** and publish the s**t and I was so right.. it is a shame though.. he WAS so good. OH.. and where the hell are all these rabid fans you shout about? Feeling the same as I more likely.. let down and disheartened.. Stephen King is king no more.. His old books I will treasure forever, but he REALLY needs to give up the ghost and STOP WRITING!

As in "The Dark Tower" his 7 book snorefest? I read it.. blah! And DAMN! If you could read you would see that 86 said he read all of SK's works and they sucked after.. when was it? After he quit drinking? Ya.. I think so.. But it seems you miss half of what he was saying, maybe you miss the point of SK's work too..
Am I miserable too? Because I don't like him anymore and I think all his new work is garbage? You going to call me names too? I wholeheartedly agree with 86 and you can shove your insults...
I own most of SK's hard cover novels, do you? Are you that much of a fan that you would invest hundreds of dollars into your beloved king? I did and I am sorry I did, I thought he was going through a slump, but daaaamn they just get worse, I give up!
And to answer your question, no, was just curious to see if it was still active.. HA!

I'm a downer? eek I am a realist and I don't like the truth any more than you do, but I am man enough to face the facts. I stated before I read all of his works.. up to "Just After Sunset" where I gave up. I don't criticize that which I do not know, that would be asinine. I am not miserable, I have found other authors who give me reason to smile. I speak the miserable truth, don't shoot the messenger. I still enjoy SK's older novels and some of the movies that were made from them. My favorite novel oddly enough is "Cujo" .. a lot of people don't get that book and stupidly think it is about a dog. lol My favorite King movie "The Shining" was best told by Stanley Kubrick who took King's story and gave it a dimension it didn't have before. The movie King directed "Maximum Overdrive" based on a short story he wrote called "Trucks" was awful! You think yourself so smart, what do you think my name means? The assassin in "Hitman" was 47.

Gee, sorry folks....I mistakenly thought this was for people who LIKED SK, old and new, good or bad..........LOYAL, anyway. I wasn't the one who got nasty. You two got your knickers in a bunch over what? Someone who didn't see eye to eye with you? And I was so SILLY as to attempt to have a friendly discussion as a FAN of SK, in the SK GUILD, with other supposed FANS? (HMMMMMM.......methinks some people must lie in wait of unsuspecting fans to attack...or do I just read too much Stephen King?)
Each to his own.........my favorites are still The Stand, TommyKnockers, The Green Mile and the Dark Tower series. Hearts in Atlantis sucked, but everyone has down times......The Langoliers was a great short story..... Cell was predictable and disappointing, but I thought The Dark Half and Dumas Key were fun. Lisey's Story was pretty good, too.
I have been reading SK for over 30 years.....I was greatly relieved when he started writing again after his accident. And yes, I DO have almost every hardcover he ever published, even under the Bachman name, AND the collections, AND a couple of his wife's books, just 'cause. His other novels I have in paperback, though I am still looking for the hardcovers.
I happen to be a voracious reader and never limit myself to one author or genre..........Kathleen O'Neal Gear& W. Michael Gear, and Diana Girbaldon (Sp?) are other favs.....(and Eoin Colfer, Kathryn Laskey, James Patterson, J.K. Rowlings, when I read with my kids)....doesn't matter, I just love a good story.
So.....you can put your gloves back on and maybe we can agree to disagree, who knows?......I could believe anything (because I am a true SK fan,LOL!) cool
