It seemed like it was going to be a good autumn day. The sun was shining, the leaves were turning and at this early morning hour, frost had covered everything in a thin layer. Yep, it was a good day, to start. Rolling out of his ball of family and leaving his mother, father and sister behind, a young stormy colored colt ambled off into the crisp morning. Golden hooves stepped uncaringly through the frost covered grass as his feathered wings folded tight to his sides. Golden eyes wide awake, accepting the crispness of the morning, though shook out his pale mane and tail that matched even his mother's.
"Now, lets see." He muttered to himself stepping under a branch and further away from his family, he wanted something to do before they woke up. "Where would I go if I just wanted to sit and watch... Something?"
Pausing at some point, he looked around then back over his shoulder. Ears twitching atop his head before he looked forward again, Pyry sighed lightly... Bored. There had to be something interesting out there for him to do. Someone that he could talk to, just something to get his mind off his parents and his mother's will to get him and his sister to fly. Bah, he didn't want to fly, not yet anyways... Shaking his head, he continued, stomping a hoof every now and again, not caring what might have been under his hoof as it was placed to the ground, kinda hard indeed...

A little delicate female fluttercorn is already up and around before the sun broke across the horizon but her parents is still fast asleep along with her other two siblings. The slate gray eyes stared at the slumbering family for while before the little hooves carries her away, leaving only tattletale hoof-prints in the fine layer of frost. The transparent swallowtail butterfly wings flutters lightly as the filly wanders toward the small cliff that is near the family cave, knowing that her father will fret if she wander farther away where he couldn't see her. A light smile appears on her muzzle as a blue jay sang out to her and lands on top of her muzzle, chirping cheerfully and she nickered in response.
The sound of crunching frost alerted Romance that she is not alone as she whipped her head toward the approaching crunching footsteps with curious glint in her slate grey eyes. Unlike her mother, she is not afraid or shy of anything new and usually will be found acting like her father, bold in meeting new soquilis but with peaceful and serene air around her. Her snow-white tail sways back and forth lightly as she find herself moving in the direction of the approaching stranger, not knowing what she is going to find.. new friend.. or new trouble.

Ears pressing themselves backwards, Pyry kept his high stepped 'march' through the trees, though stopped when his legs felt like they wanted to fall off. Well that was only as entertaining as watching feather fall from his wings when they were ready to shed. And that was pretty boring, reaching the base of the mountains not far from his family's home, which was only a small clearing with a still smaller water source, really, couldn't they find something... Grander? He guessed not, stopping for a moment he looked up toward the cliffs that hung over head, feathered wings opening themselves some, he wondered if he could make it up there...
Though before he could really try, a small face appeared at the edge, before it vanished again, as if not seeing him. Head tilting to one side, well that was something now wasn't it... Turning a little he looked around to find that face again, but he didn't see anything from where he was standing, but listening he heard someone else walking an the frost. The crispness of the steps told him that they were coming in his direction, turning his head he looked in the direction they were coming. Heading off in that direction, he wasn't sure what he would find coming toward him, but he certainly hoped it would be interesting.
And it certainly made him stop, it was a filly, just about his own size... Though a bit smaller. Her mane and tail certainly matched his own white one, though her coat was lighter and more white then blue. Pyry watched this smaller foal coming toward him, barely noticing the wings that sat on her back, where they real? Or was it the dim light playing tricks on him, there was something else that cause him to step a bit closer. Protruding from her forehead, a white horn? It looked very similar to his father's though smaller in size of course... And his had a bit of blue to it, this one was a pure white, like a fluffy cloud white.
'Perhaps this day will be interesting after all' he thought watching the small foal come closer to him, his feathered wings folding close to his body, eyes still a bit transfixed on her horn.

Romance stops as she spotted a colt standing there staring at her like she was a mirage and a welcoming smile appears on her face just like her mother taught her. She moves toward the colt while her slate gray eyes travels all over colt's body, taking in the details like the fact that he is colored like the stormy winter with wings just like her own sister, feathery just like bird. But her eyes moves toward the colt's golden eyes which is transfixed on her horn and she looks amused because all of the foals are like that unless they have horns of their own.
The delicate filly stands right in front of the colt, noticing that she is little bit smaller than him and she unconsciously flares her butterfly wings up to make herself look more bigger. She stayed silent for while, wondering if the colt is going to speak up before her but after few moment of silence and sizing each other up, Romance decided to break the silence. "Hello. My name is Romance... what is yours?" She pleasantly says as she looks directly in his golden eyes with her slate gray eyes, wondering about what brings him to her part of the land.

Pyry watched the small filly as she came closer to him. He watched as she flared out his wings, lowering his own head his feathered wings stretched out over his back. A colorful display at best before he closed his wings and straightened himself again. Front hooves planted themselves quite close together before his golden eyes looked at her again as she spoke quite... Well... Suddenly cutting the silence around them.
"My name's Pyry." He said coolly as if it wasn't really anything important. "A pleasure meeting you... Romance? Was it?" His head tilted to one side in thought thinking he heard her name right when she had spoken of it.
Taking his gaze off the filly he looked once more toward the ledge that sat over head. Shaking his head for a moment he looked back to Romance, taking in the details of her white and light blue coat. The black bands about her legs and the icy colored wings that laid upon her back. Stepping closer and around her a moment, he noticed that she had the same paleness in her mane and tail as he did. That was interesting to say the least, coming back to his spot he closed his eyes a moment.
"If I'm being too bold, but in a way, I would swear that you were more my sister then my actual sister whom is colored a lot like my mother." He chuckled shakingly, before looking back at the filly before him.

Romance's eyes drifts toward Pyry's wings and smiles because his wings reminds her of Tundra Snow, her sister's wings and she used to be so fascinated with them. Her slate gray eyes watches the colt's body language for while as his voice finally appears. "The pleasure is all mine, Pyry and yes.. it's Romance." She grins at the colt pleasantly. "My daddy thought it would be cute to name me kinda after my mother.. her name is Solace and they decided to name me Romance." She explains.
Romance's eyes drift over to the snowy background behind Pyry with a smile on her face then she blinks when she realizes that she is being inspected by the colt in front of her. She purses her lips as she hears his comment about her being his sister. She raises her eyebrow as she giggles amusedly. "My daddy would have told me if I have more siblings!" She laughs as she grins at him. "What does your sister look like, Pyry?" She looks at him curiously.

"My sister is much like myself with the wings, but she is more brown with gold markings where I and blue with lighter blue markings. The only real thing thing that sets us apart besides gender, is that she had a horn much like yours. I envy her for that." Pyry explained though looking away a bit as he explained about his family. "My mother is a mishmash of colors. Mostly brown with bird wings, her name is Wica. My father is a bright blue with gold markings and a horn, his name's Ochoco."
Giving a sort of shrug, Pyry side stepped a moment before walking toward where he was going. Past Romance, he was looking toward the slippery slop. He had been thinking of seeing if there was any fun to be had on this brisk morning. Perhaps his new 'friend' would like to come with him? Looking at the slightly smaller flutter filly, he didn't really know. For all he knew, her parents wouldn't want her playing with him.. But he could always ask.
"I'm heading that way to see if the hill side is slippery enough to slide on." He gestured back behind her. "You want to come?" he asked looking back at her again, head tilting to one side a little.

Romance blinks as Pyry pretty much laid out his family's outline in front of her which is unusual for someone's first meeting. She nods at Pyry as she visualizes Pyry's sister and thinks she looks very pretty like that. "Well I look just like my mama.. all way down to the black bands around my legs which I got from my papa. My mama's name is Solace and my papa's name is Montego.. " She decided that its fair to return the same amount of information to Pyry.
Her slate gray eyes follows the colt as he moves toward the slope curiously and she slowly began to walk behind him, curious about what he is going to do. "Sliding..?" Romance blinks as she looks at him with a smile on her face then she suddenly ran forward, jumping onto the slippery slope squealing delightedly as she slides down the slope. "It is very slippery!! Come and slide!" She calls up toward him as she crashes into the soft snow hill and emerges with snow covering her body.
Romance wiggles her nose as she shook the snow off her body then she prances toward the slope with a smile on her face, not aware that there is still some snow stuck in her mane and tail.

Pyry nodded as he looked back at her, soon watching the smaller filly dash past him and slipping down the hill. Blinking for a moment and shaking the slight shock from his face, and mouth finally clamping closed as it had fallen open in a small silent shriek of horror as he thought she would get hurt that way. Picking up his own pace, Pyry tried to stop at the top of the hill, but found himself sliding down the slope. Hooves coming out from under him, he was now on his back...
"Look out!" He cried in warning as his slide, turned into a spin and his legs pulled themselves in as to not get caught in anything.
Eyes clamping themselves closed, he waited for the impact of hitting something other then the snow at the base of the hill. When he did hit the snow, his head was still spinning as he opened his golden eyes. Rolling over onto his side, he closed his eyes again, feeling a tad sick. Oh the fun, he slowly clambered to his hooves and staggered. Plopping back on his rump, he remained there for a time, head hanging.
"What... Fun that... Was." He said between gasps, and trying not to be sick. "Once the world stops spinning lets go again." He gave a somewhat goofy smile.

Romance was about to open her mouth to warn him not to rush down the hill but it was too late so she watched in mixture of horror and amusement at Pyry spinning his way down the icy hill. After the colt hit the same snow pile she crashed into, Romance couldn't help but to giggle at the image of Pyry spinning down the hill and she tries to stop the flood of giggles and laughter from coming out of her mouth. She bites down on her muzzle as she moves toward Pyry with a guilty look on her face.
"I am sure you don't want to do that again eh?" Romance laughs as she smiles at the dizzy colt then she noses his neck playfully, seeing if he will topple backward. "Next time.. try not to flail around and spin while sliding down the hill, Pyry!" She instructs with an amused grin. Her butterfly wings flutters as she moves around Pyry to keep her limbs from getting frozen stiff.
