The sun had just risen and dawns light was bathing the field in a warm glow. Gaven stood in the middle of a wide open field, grazing lazily on tender leafs of grass. A quiet and gentle breeze blew, chilling Gaven. He shuddered, but continued to graze.

Uni had woken up early that morning, just before sunrise, when it was still quite dark. She wandered through a small thicket, until she came out into the open meadow, shivering slightly as she felt the cooler air. To warm herself up, she set off through the meadow at a brisk trot, ignoring the crisp fall air as much as she could. It wasn't long before she had warmed up, but she also saw someone else out in the meadow, not far off from her. She turned to trot his direction, only slowing to a walk when she got close. "Hello." She said as she stopped not far off.

Gaven was lost in thought as he chewed his meal slowly. Winter was coming, and oh how did he hate the cold. Winters here had to be better than those on the mountains, but something in the back of his mind made him believe they would be just the same. He almost didnt hear the newcomers voice, but a 'Hello' managed to reach his ears. He raised his head slowly, making sure to swallow what was in his mouth. He remembered the last time he had been grazing when he met someone and the last thing he wanted was to embarrass himself by choking again.
He turned to see who had spoken to find a mare standing before him. She seemed... Different. He had never seen a unicorn before, so her horn and tail surprised him. "Hi!" He returned cheerfully as he took a few steps closer to her. He longed to ask why she had something growing out of her forehead, but he assumed it would be rude and discarded the notion. "Name's Gaven, How are you?"

((Assuming you meant Who are you, not How are you.))
Uni watched quietly for the moment, noting that he hadn't seem to have known she was there until she said 'hello'. "Nice to meet you Gaven. I am Uni." She said after another moment. She stared at his unusually colored coat, it was such a deep blue she had never seen before, not even in the ocean or sky.
Despite her thicker winter coat growing in, she was still feeling the cold now that she was standing still, she stamped her cloven hooves trying to stay warm.

((No, I meant How are you xd , I've decided he doesnt ask for names unless the person he asks of asked him first *is still working out his personality*)) Gaven smiled politely and mulled over her name; it was simple and seemed like it would roll off the tongue nicely. He liked it. He noticed the mare, Uni stamp her hooves as she stood not far from him. Had he done something to anger her? He didnt think so, even though stamping one's hooves could be a sign of anger. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Uni." Gaven replied with a slight bow.
Curiosity had the best of him by now, and as he stood there he contemplated questioning the horn she possessed and the reason she had stamped her hooves. Unable to will himself to forget about asking either question he decided the second of the two would be less rude. "Is everything alright"

"I am fine." She said, with a little pause. "Just a bit cold." With her tail now half-wrapped around her hind legs. "Though I would like to keep walking, so I don't end up frozen here." She said with a smile. She didn't know if he was done grazing or not, or if he would like to continue walking with her.
