The young filly skittered away from the area where she had caught the scent of her grandmother. She'd never met her, but the smell told her to go away. She was not afraid, but she was curious now. Why would that scent send her away like that? Was it warning or did her grandma just not want to see her?
Shrugging off any suspicions, she continued on her way as the day turned to dusk. It was her favorite time of day, when the stars came out...she loved the stars almost as much as she loved her family. When a bird fluttered by, she went back to thinking how wonderful it would be to fly amongst the stars...

 Maion glided gracefully through the air, his wings beating silently as the captured and harnessed the magnificent energy, the ocean swished gently below. The light from the melting sun on the horizon sent a combination of reds, oranges and purples trickling softly into the waves. Dusk was always so fantastic, the warmth of the world sizzled softly into the distance until it finally disappeared into to nothing leaving the twinkling stars to shimmer in all their brilliance. As the night rose into its glorious fullness he watched in awe and wonder. He had always felt a special connection to the night; after all he merged perfectly into its dark and gloomy sky of glittering stars. It had been the greatest gift his mother had ever bestowed upon him.
His mother was now only a distant memory, a whisper on the wind. Yet the one thought that he had always resented slight was her notion that different breeds should never mix, that there was some honour in remaining a ‘pure blood’, yet even with that said he longed to find love, something he could feel wrap him in a warm bubble. If it happened to be another Angeni then so be it, yet if it weren’t that would not lose him any sleep at night despite his mothers’ wishes. Yet everything else about her he admired, her strength and power was unquestioned where ever she ventured to, she had an aura that shone so brightly that no one ever showed any emotion other than respect towards her. Perhaps it was just her gift or perhaps they where gifts bestowed upon her by the passage of time? Only time would tell.
As he continued to fly he saw the land come into view, it was dangling almost like a tantalising carrot before him. He flew softly, lowering his altitude with every flap of his mighty wings. He landed on the soft ground with a soft patter of hooves, spreading his wings high in the air in an effort to stretch them out fully he then pulled them in tightly at his sides. His eyes scanned the surroundings, he did not recognise the area at all yet perhaps it would yield yet a new adventure. As his eyes flickered between all the features of the land he noticed the soft twinkling of movement, it looked like a young foal out walking alone. His protective urges took control of him as he started to walk slowly towards the creature, he could not allow anything to harm such a fragile creature.
Smiling as he approach her he bowed his head low in respect and welcome to her. He tended not to say many words, he preferred saving them for when they where most important.

Making her way through a pair of trees, she giggled madly as a butterfly landed on her nose. She'd always had a connection with the winged insects, and nothing made her feel happier than a butterfly coming close. She marveled at the details of the wings, the grace with which they flew and the beauty that they seemed to bring with them wherever they went. They were also one of the few creatures that were unafraid of her.
Smiling, she kept walking and didn't notice until a bit too late that a fairly large stallion had landed near her. She watched him for a second, and took in everything. The muscles that powered his wings, the way his mane flowed, his star-covered pelt and his gorgeous blue eyes. The fact he was polite didn't hurt anything either. Cautiously walking up to him, she smiled, the butterfly still on her nose and flitting it's wings.
"Hi there, can i help you in come way?" she asked, her voice a bit low as she tried not to scare away the butterfly.
