General Info
Name: Imrak Baenlyl Alias: ~ Gender: Male Age: 197 Height: 5'8" Description: Imrak is rather tall for a male Drow, with a strong well toned body that bears numerous scars from a life spent fighting. His cold gray eyes watch the world passively, silently passing judgement on all he witnesses, woe be to those he judges lacking. Upon his left forearm is a tattoo of a spider, symbolising his devotion to the god Selvetarm, Champion of Lolth.
Imrak wears strong well fashioned armour, that is tailored to allow him the maximum amount of mobility, giving him protection without hindering his agility in a fight.
Personality:Generally cold and distant, in a fight he is a man obsessed with death, has a dark and rather morbid sense of humour. Tends to have insatiable appetite for life, indulging freely in greed, gluttony, lust, pride and wrath. Despite this tendency to over indulge, Imrak is fiercely devoted to his beliefs, killing without hesitation any who would speak against Lolth or Selvetarm.
An important thing to note about Imrak is the oft times dangerous game he plays with females and priestesses in particular. Imrak considers himself his own man and dislikes the idea of being submissive to another. Combined with his cynical nature and the fact he knows first hand females bleed as easily as males, this gives him an almost chauvinistic attitude to females. His position and personal power, means that very few females can command him and hope for any success. Only High ranking members of the clergy of Lolth have any real hope of controlling him. Even then Imrak plays a dangerous game, taking liberties and pressing boundaries to see how far he can press his 'superiors' Hobbies: Doesn't really have any hobbies, spending his free time either practicing his skills or indulging in life's pleasures. Favourite Place: anywhere there is a good fight to be had. Likes: One on one duels, Victories, Carnage Dislikes: Obeying others, Heretics, Retreat
Quote: "Let the blood of my enemies flow freely as I slaughter all in conquest!."

Biography
Imrak was born as a commoner but at an early age should surprising prowess with a blade, so much so he was adopted into a noble Family. There he served with distinction eventually being made the Qu'el'saruk at the age of 87 when the previous Weapons Master was slain in combat during a raid by another house. Imrak originally studied the dodge and strike techniques of Bautha Z'hin, later studying the twin blade style of Draa Velve.
After becoming the House Weapon Master Imrak started practicing the difficult strategies of Orb Alur, the so called 'Superior Spider' style emphasizes great sweeping maneuvers that allow its practitioners to strike many opponents with minimal effort. Normally they tumble or leap their way into the middle of a group of enemies and cut them all down with a single stroke. Difficult to master, the devastating style only emphasised the skill Imrak possesed with the blade, a skill that made Imrak highly prized.
While this earned him much prestige and a certain degree of power despite being a male, it also earned him certain unwanted attention. One of the Matrons powerful daughters decided to take Imrak for a mate, but Imrak refused, all be it as tactfully as he could, the rejection still enraged the daughter. She demanded Imraks execution, but he was spared that faith solely because the Matron thought his skill as a warrior was too valuable to be wasted on the idle whim of one of her many daughters. Still the situation caused a great deal of tension within the family and drows never forget a grudge.
Years passed and eventually the daughter learned the reason behind Imraks rejection, he had a lover, a young male that served under Imrak amongst the houses private guard. The next day she arranged for Imrak to lead a raid against a rival family, as always Imrak returned victorious, but when he got back he learned his lover had been sacrificed to Lolth, apparently for some insult to one of the Matrons daughters. He soon realised the truth of what had happened, but he was powerless to do anything about it, but feign ignorance of what really happened and continue on. Directing his rage into his fighting he became a man obsessed with violence and death, he became known for recklessly charging ahead of his men into the enemy ranks and cutting down everyone in his path.
Ten years later his chance for revenge arrived, by this time his reputation as a warrior was well known through out the region and many of the rival Houses deferred to the house he served, rather than face the fury of Imrak and his soldiers. The balance of power tipped though when the Matron of the house passed away to be replaced by the same daughter who had Imraks lover killed. With no one to oppose her she demanded Imrak become her consort, to commemorate her ascension to Matron. He agreed but that same night killed her in her sleep.
Such an action should have brought him instant death, but Imrak had already put a plan in place, the very next day before news of the new Matrons death even had time to spread, several rival family's allied together and attacked. Imrak and many of the warriors under him were already leaving the city, leaving the house almost defenceless and it was totally destroyed.
With most of the family wiped out there was no left who cared enough to hold a grudge and try to punish Imrak for what he did, rather many secretly applauded his actions in destroying a much hated house. Besides soon after the fall of that house, Imrak set himself and the men under him as a mercenary outfit, this suddenly made far more valuable alive than dead. It was also at this time that he adopted the name of Baenlyl.
Even as a mercenary Imrak fights with a reckless demeanour that startles and demoralises those who stand against him, those who manage to hold their ground only end up falling to his impressive skill with a blade. Years of life as a mercenary have left Imrak cold and distant, his body covered with countless scars from the battles he's fought
With in a few years Imraks reputation spread as he lead his troop further and further afield, eventually drawing the attention of followers of Selvetarm. Already on shaky terms with Lolth after his open rebellion against his old House and Matron and already addicted to battle lust, Selvetarm's teachings and beliefs fitted Imrak perfectly.
This new found faith, reinvigorated Imrak, giving him a sense of being and a new purpose in life. Just as quickly as he had ascended the military ranks, Imrak climbed the ranks of Selvetarms followers, until he was awarded one of the highest ackalades. Imrak was anointed a Knight of Selvetarm, a Drow Judicator.
Servants of the demigod Selvetarm, to whom they must make an unholy pledge, judicators are spellcasters that have survived the vicious rites necessary to work with demons and Lolth-warped spiders. They often serve, albeit grudgingly, high-ranking priestesses of Lolth as defenders and assassins. Imrak, though a fighter through and through, managed to meet the necessary spellcasting requirements, by becoming a cleric of Selvetarm, studying the clerical magics until he understood enough to pass the trials of Selvetarm.
These days Imrak, travels the length and breadth of the Underdark, serving whichever House, offers the best pay or the most interesting job. In between mercenary missions, Imrak puts himself and his troops freely at the disposal of the church of Selvetarm and thus indirectly Lolth.

Inventory All of Imraks weapons and armour are imbued with Drowcraft, an enchantment given to many items forged by the Drow. Drowcraft weapons and armour use the natural background radiation of magic that permeates the Underdark to increase their effectiveness. Armour has a better chance of deflecting a blow, weapon are more likely to strike their target and inflict greater damage. The downside is that Drowcraft items only function in areas with such radiation present and if they are ever exposed to direct sunlight, dissolve. But Lolth is more likely to go sunbathing on the Celestial Plane than Imrak is to go to the surface. Besides this basic enchantment, some of his equipment has additional boons
Imraks Cursed Sword - Imrak claimed the weapon after slaying it's previous owner, little did he realise at teh time that the weapon was in fact cursed, bonding to him the moment he touched it's hilt. The blade is enchanted such that once he so much as nicks an opponent Imrak can use the Blade to track that individual, always knowing their location, so long as their blood is still moist on the blade. Also anyone suffering a wound from teh blade slowly succumbs to a it's dark energies, gradually having their strength sapped. The curse however, means that while Imrak always knows where the blade is, if it ever leaves his immediate presence, he becomes obsessed with finding it again. His body becoming wracked with pain that worsens the longer the blade is out of his hands, ultimately killing the owner should they fail to recover the sword.
Imraks Favoured Dagger - A Keepsake Imrak has had for much of his life, a present from a past lover, Imrak is rarely if ever seen without it. Like most of Imraks equipment it bears the Drowcraft enhancement, but at some point Imrak had an additional enchantment added that slows the healing of any wound the blade causes.
Throwing Daggers - The daggers kept in teh strap across Imraks chest are designed to be effective ranged weapons, fitting easily into teh palm and well balanced. they are made with a keen edge effective at punching through the light leather armour favoured by many Drow, but of little use against tougher armour.
Leather Cuirass - The Armour Worn by Imrak is made of leather, imbued with the Drowcraft ability it holds no other enchantment, but is surprisingly light. A must since Imraks choice of fighting style relies heavily on being able to stay mobile. Imrak prefers to rely on his natural dexterity and reflexes to keep him alive, still the Drowcrafted Armour has earned it's worth a dozens times over, in being the thin line between a new scar and a fatal wound.
Selvetarm's Charm - Imrak also keeps a small charm on him at all times, it's a small spider carved from jet, it looks much like a relic of Lolth, save that it has a crossed sword and mace etched onto the thorax of the spider. Though it doesn't appear to have any innate powers, many have claimed to have seen teh small statue move while Imrak prays to it.

Abilities While many Drow Judicators are skilled magic users as well as warriors, Imrak is some what lacking in that field, having only studied the bare minimum of the teachings and skills needed to pass the trials to achieve the rank of Judicator. None the less, he has picked up a number of 'tricks' as he calls them, not as skilled in their use as a fully trained Priest or Priestess, he still knows how to use them to give him a useful edge in a fight. Imraks powers center mostly around the Domains governed by Selvetarm, those of Chaos, Drow, Evil, Spider, War and Wrath.
Healing One of the most basic spells that anyone studying for teh clergy will learn, it's also one of the most useful in Imraks opinion. He might not be a particularly gifted healer, but many's the time the power to heal has proven invaluable on the battlefield.
Spiders Unlike other priests who learn to turn or control the undead, devotees of Selvetarm gain similar powers over spiders. Like many Drow, Imrak has a fascination for all arachnids and sees this power as a highly prized gift. For the most part Imrak uses these spider minions as spies or messengers, though on occasion he has used them for more lethal tasks. On several occasions an enemies battle lines have collapsed after the commanding officer suddenly dropped dead from an unexpected spider bite.
Spying As a Judicator, Imrak is often called upon to sheek out traitors or more specifically, heretics who speak out against Lolth. To this end he has learned several interesting tricks such as detecting lies, and a Clairaudience/Clairvoyance like ability

Additional InformationCopy and paste for the winDrow Judicator A mortal imbued with fiendish cruelty, the drow judicator is a knight most foul. This unholy warrior is steeped in the divine energy of Selvetarm, the Spider that Waits, self-appointed Champion of Lolth. Consort of demons and demonic arachnids, the drow judicator is hated and feared by all, especially other male drow who are jealous of the heights of power to which he has risen. Drow judicators must make an unholy pledge to Selvetarm and then survive the rites of entry to adopt the prestige class. At least a little schooling in spellcasting is required, but only the toughest and meanest sorcerers and wizards can survive the entry requirements. Clerics often attempt to take on the drow judicator’s mantle as well, as do fighters, rangers and rogues who have taken levels in a spellcasting class. Typically, a drow judicator serves a higher ranking cleric of Lolth, although he chafes to be the sole authority. Drow judicators and assassins usually fill the ranks of a high priestess’s hand-picked murder team. Selvetarm(Champion of Lolth, Thane of Lolth, the Spider That Waits, the Spider Demon, Prince of the Aranea, Lord of the Venomire)Selvetarm (SELL-veh-TARM) is the Champion of Lolth and the patron of drow warriors. Seen as the embodiment of unequaled fighting prowess, Selvetarm is worshiped by a few drow in the northern and western reaches of the Underdark beneath Faerun, particularly in the city of Eryndlyn beneath the High Moor and in the dungeons of Undermountain beneath Waterdeep. The Spider Demon is also venerated by many of the aranea of the Spider Swamp in southern Calimshan where he is known as Zanassu, the Spider That Waits. A few drow in the Forest of Mir as well as a handful of Volothanni seeking any advantage to advance themselves politically in the Gem City of Calimshan round out the ranks of Selvetarm's faithful. Selvetarm is the offspring of an ill-fated tryst between Vhaeraun and Zandilar the Dancer, a demipower once venerated by the elves of the Yuirwood. When the Dancer's elven followers began to falter in the face of relentless assaults by Lolth's minions, Zandilar sought out the Masked Lord and seduced him in an attempt to either gain information or elicit his direct assistance in battling the Spider Queen. The Masked Lord betrayed Zandilar and imprisoned her, and only the timely assistance of Bast, an errant Mulhorandi demipower, allowed the Dancer to escape. Selvetarm was birthed shortly thereafter when the weakened Zandilar voluntarily merged her essence with that of Bast, creating the goddess now known as Sharess. Selvetarm walked a solitary way for many centuries, spurning both of his parents, for he was not wholly given over to evil but neither was he aligned with the forces of light. Eventually his path crossed that of his aunt, Eilistraee, and he began to appreciate the goodness of the Dark Maiden, as exhibited in her teachings and deeds. By way of Selvetarm's redemption, Eilistraee hoped to begin to heal the breach between the majority of dark elves and the Seldarine. The Dark Maiden's hopes were dashed, however, by the insidious plotting of Lolth. The Queen of Spiders had long resented the existence of Zanassu, a minor Abyssal Lord with pretensions of suzerainty over spiders, nearly as much as she disliked the possibility of Eilistraee winning an ally-Selvetarm-among the pantheon of the drow. When the Spider Demon lost much of his power after a conflict on the Prime (against Qysara Shoon V of the Shoon Empire), Lolth convinced Selvetarm to destroy Zanassu and seize the Spider Demon's burgeoning divine power. She did so by suggesting to Selvetarm that a victory would increase his personal power and win him favor in the eyes of Eilistraee, whom he greatly admired. While Selvetarm prevailed in battle over the Spider Demon, the absorption of Zanassu's wholly evil and chaotic nature overwhelmed Selvetarm's nascent beneficial aspects and weakened him sufficiently that he could not escape the traps by which the Spider Queen bound his will tightly to her own. Cruel and malicious by nature, Selvetarm cares only for battle and destruction. The Champion of Lolth harbors a deep hatred for all living things, including his dominating mistress, and the only beauty he can appreciate is a well-honed and deadly fighting style. Selvetarm can exhibit a great deal of patience while waiting for prey to fall into an ambush he has set, but he prefers the wild abandon of battle frenzy to a careful and deliberate attack. The Dogma preached by his followers is that War is the ultimate expression of individual power, and only through battle and death can one realize the respect of one's comrades. Hone your fighting skills constantly and teach those who will follow into the fray. Never give or receive quarter, and die amidst the bloodlust of battle against overwhelming odds. Cultivate as many different weapon tricks and combat maneuvers as a spider has arms, and never fear that hidden venom, like a secret vengeance waiting to strike, will serve you ill.
