It seemed like a regular quiet day in the fields of the Talaye meadows. Sunny was pretty much exploring on her own, curious as to what was around her home, but this time she was without any members of her family. She loved them dearly, but she could only take so many males bothering her at one time.
She loved Reign, but the evolved female was busy with her baskets of pups and that left Sunny without anyone to really talk to. So she was out exploreing.

Crowe had been left to his own devices, not of his own accord for once. The two other members of the little bachelor group that he belonged to had gone off to visit family and friends. This was really bothersome as he was in the mood for company of some sort. Crowe gave a bit of a sigh then sprang from his perch on one of the lower branches of the gnarled tree that he and the two others called home. He glided over the top of the grass for a moment before silently touching down and continued walking.
If his usual companions weren't around he would simply have to find another one himself. Unless they found him first. It didn't really matter as long as he found someone that was comfortable around him. Some found his generally dark appearance to be a bit off-putting or odd. That never really bothered Crowe. It didn't really matter. He was comfortable in his own skin and there was an air of confidence to him that spoke of this.
As he walked, Crowe began to hum to himself, not really caring who heard. Who knows? It may bring out some company for him.

Sunny didn't hear the humming just yet, her attention having been caught by a couple of dragonflies that were buzzing close by her head. She laughed softly and chased after them in a pup like fashion. She stopped when they climbed higher into the air and she didn't feel like flying just yet, not to chase after a couple of bugs.
Sighing to herself, she started to walk to just explore again when she thought she heard something. Stopping and perking her ears, she blinked when she did pick up something....or the voice of someone. Were they humming? Looking around, she tried to spot whoever it was that was making that noise. "Hello?" she called out.

Crowe's ears perked at the sound of another's voice, a feminine voice that wasn't too far off from where. He turned his head, his bright blue eyes scanning the area. He had thought that he'd pique someone's interest eventually and it was a nice day so there was bound to be plenty of Talaye about. It would be a nice change of pace to interact with a member of the fairer sex, since he hadn't done so in a while.
That's when he spotted her, the bright female who had spoken. He slipped out of the tall grass that he had meandered into and strolled leisurely in her general direction, his dark wings folded loosely at his sides. "Good day, miss. What is a lady such as yourself doing roaming around alone?" Crowe dipped his head in greeting to her then sat down a little ways off from her.

Her ears twitched when she heard a voice respond to her and she turned to see who it was. It was a dark male, with wings she had only seen few others have, but a Talaye without wings would have made her eyes bug out. She gave him a friendly smile and turned to make her way over to him.
"Hello there!" she greeted him, stopping her walk and standing not too far from him, "Well, I am not sure about being a lady, but I guess I am looking to see who is around today." she answered him truthfully.

Crowe chuckled. "I imagine you are. Of course, lady is the title I use when addressing an unfamiliar female. My name is Crowe and it appears we're out for the same reason. My companions are out visiting friends and family and I get the need to socialize."
He flashed her a bit of a grin at his last words. "Perhaps...Would you like to walk with me?"

"My name is Sunny Daze, but you can call me Sunny!" she said, her freindly smile still on her muzzle. "Of course, walking with someone else seems better then wandering around by myself." she said as she stood back up to walk along with him.

"Well, it is indeed a pleasure to make your acquaintence, Sunny. I agree with you there." Crowe stood up and moved along the female's side. "Why walk alone when someone is willing to spend time with you? So, do you live around here? I live just over there in that gnarled looking tree between the Storyteller's Tree and the Lover's Cove. I live with two other gents."
Crowe walked in the general direction over towards the river, his gait easy and confident.

Sunny's gait had more of a small bounce to it, the smile still on her face, as if enjoying the warmth of the suns rays on her wings and white fur, "I don't live to far from here, though my family is quite large and unfortunately I am only one of two females in it, so it can be a little....annoying at times, what with all the males messing around." she said, but she looked over at him and her smile seemed to brighten, "But I am glad I ran into you, you're right, going on a walk with someone else can be quite enjoyable!"

Crowe gave a little laugh. "I imagine it can be nice though, always having a family member around to converse with or hang out with. I don't know if any of my family are around, much less alive. I just live with two friends and its just us three guys. It would be kind of nice if a few females lived with us or even just nearby. Don't get me wrong, they're great guys, but it would offer a pleasant change of pace if there were members of the fairer sex around." He smiled and nodded at her words. "Especially on days such as this."

"Oh don't get me wrong, I love my family, but it can get a little....I guess boring with nothing but males to talk to. I mean, there is another female, but she recently had pups and all her time is in taking care of them while they are still in their baskets." she said, her eyes watching a few butterflies fluttering nearby, "But it's nice to meet someone new, and like you said, like today!" she said, smiling again.

Crowe nodded sympathetically. "I can understand that if that's all you're given the chance to talk to it can get redundant and boring." He gave a bit of a laugh. "Well, I hope I'm not boring you then, me being one of the masculine sort after all. It must be exciting that some new lives were brought into your family. I can only imagine how busy your one female relative is with caring for her baskets. Have you tried offering her some help in tending to her baskets? That would allow you to spend some time with her and your new relations. Of course, I don't know whether or not she wants to do that alone to build the bond between herself and her offspring."
The dark male gave a bit of a shrug. "I don't have much experience by way of handling babies, but I wouldn't mind having my own someday. Just have to find the right one for me. What about you, Sunny? Is there anyone special in your life, or perhaps youngsters of your own?" He hoped he wasn't sounding invasive. He was simply curious and making conversation.

Sunny gave a light laugh, an amused smile on her muzzle, "Of course I don't find you boring, I just met you and I really do like talking with you!! And yes, I have asked her if she has needed any help, but she assures me she and her mate have it handled." she explained, tail flicking about.
"This is actually her second litter of pups, and she is much older then me, so she knows her stuff! And if you can believe it, she and her mate are actually evolved Talaye, one of the last ones to receive the blessing in the last few years!" she said, looking over at him.
She blushed when he asked her if she had someone of her own or even had children and she shook her head, a small smile on her face. "No, no one for me. I'm not going to push my luck and try go looking for 'Mr. Right'.....but it would be nice if I did find them one day." she said, looking ahead, a somewhat faroff look in her eyes.

"Good, good. I would hate to prove to be boring company." Crowe laughed as well.
"Ah, an experienced mother, then I guess you'll just have to bide your time until her latest litter gets old enough for her and her mate to relax and socialize a bit more." He made an interested sound. "Really? Well, that is something indeed. You must be very proud of them."
The dark male listened intently as she spoke. He gave a tiny smile. "You never know. You may just stumble upon your 'Mr. Right' someday. All one can do is keep an open mind and an open heart for such things. I haven't had any luck in the love department but I have faith that someday I'll either find someone who knocks me off of my feet or she'll sneak up into my heart out of seemingly nowhere."

Sunny chuckled as she chased after a butterfly and then stopped to look at him, a smile on her face, "My family sometimes calls me a hopeless romantic, but I can't really help it sometimes!" she said, a little breathlessly since she had ran. She looked away to watching the flying butterflies, "I like to think there is someone for everyone, whether they believe it or not!" she said.
