Haikus, are Japanese poems. This free form of poetry (meaning it doesn't have to rhyme) has three lines and 17 syllables.

Line One: 5 syllables
Line Two: 7 syllables
Line Three: 5 syllables

Halloween Candy
Chocolate, Carmel and gum
Candy, Candy yum

Halloween is fun
Carnivals, dances and more,
Costume parties, too

Halloween is not
Just for kids and little tots
Adults like it too.
