Disappointed that I haven't seen mentioned at all. Fav songs are I'm Broken and God Damn Electric Fav. Album is Vulgar Display of Power (serious, why were not mentioned before I did this? Did you all forget or do not know them?)

I don't think many people in the guild like them, I could be wrong. Unless they are in another sub-forum? But anyways, from what I have heard, I like them. Favourite song is ******** Hostile

As a band, I'm not overly fond of them, though there are a few songs that I do enjoy. Cowboys from hell is not a bad album.

As the other guys said, Cemetery Gates is a quality song. Their only quality song, in fact. To hell with the rest.

Thermonuclear Warrior Pantera is Groove metal, not thrash or speed! we don't have a groove metal subforum, and theres no real point to making one if pantera is the only band that will be discussed. i suppose it could be moved to "other metal" but i see no need...the conversation appears to be dying out in this thread anyway

Thermonuclear Warrior Pantera is Groove metal, not thrash or speed! Groove isn't a genre on it's own. It's more of a tag added onto a genre, just like Epic.

Gravechylde Thermonuclear Warrior Pantera is Groove metal, not thrash or speed! Groove isn't a genre on it's own. It's more of a tag added onto a genre, just like Epic. That as well, not one element of the songs can't really dictate what the band is. Edit: Just because every Pantera song has an actual groove, they shouldn't be changed to "groove" since all metal songs have groove to bang by, the groove in their songs are just stronger.

Pantera. Unfortunately I didn't get into them until after they broke up and Dimebag was shot.
But going back through the CD's....Vulgar Display of Power is probably my favorite. That or it's tied with The Great Southern Trendkill. I love 'em both.
