Twice, Sellion had been driven away from the demon lands. But why? For what purpose? He didn't know, but he was trying very desperately to find out. First, he needed to figure out how to pass this "test"...Surely he had been driven away in order to test his loyalty to the pride...
OF COURSE! His loyalty! So, Sellion would have to return a third time. Third time's a charm, after all. That would do that. After that, he would be accepted.
Cackling with excitement at the sheer amazingness of his own thoughts, Sellion put more pep into his steps. He almost seemed to bounce across the rocks he walked on. An odd humming came forth from Sellion's lungs and he continued to sing quietly a strange, off-key-sounding tune. But something interrupted his humming and bouncy mood.
Left eye narrowing sharply and mouth opening to form a look of stupidity, Sellion stared ahead of himself at a large cluster of rocks. Walking close to the rocks was a light-color cheetah female. She was young by the looks of her.
And pretty...
Sellion smirked. He lowered the pep in his steps and tried to walk with an air of suaveness. As he neared the other cheetah, his foot fell in between a gap of two rocks and his body jolted stiffly. Sellion blinked slowly. Then he tilted his head to look at his foot. It didn't seem to want to budge. So, Sellion remained where he was standing and simply grinned enticingly at the other cheetah, willing her to come closer.
She noticed him...of course she did, half of being alive out here was being observant, especially if one lived so near demons...and those from whom one had swiped lunch. Aseniki had only lived by being careful...ever since she'd wound up alone...which was as long as memory reckoned back.
Slowly, she stopped, turning to eye the other cheetah with a curious sort of glance. Interested...but not too interested, after all...at least mentally, she was just as much an adult as he. Noting his striking pelt, she resolved to come up and ask him just what he was doing out here, another cheetah who braved the lands so close to demon territory.
With a soft, rumbling sound, she took a step in his direction. "Why hello there..." She greeted, trying to sound casual, and perhaps a mite sexy, though the impact came off as childish.
With a loud crunching sound, Sellion pulled his paw out from between the two rocks. His head spun as it took in everything about this new cheetah. She was intriguing in her movements and voice. There was something he could sense inside her mind that was different from most adolescents he had met (though he hadn't met that many in his life).
Sellion furrowed his eyebrows and smirked, flipping the matted hair from his eyes. "Good day." Sellion greeted, voice cracking halfway through for reasons he was not particularly aware of. A fly buzzed around his head and Sellion swatted at it violently, snarling viciously amidst his drastic mood swing. When the fly was out of sight, Sellion turned back to the cheetah female and sighed an odd, happy sigh, perhaps relieved that the fly had gone., or maybe because of something else. He stood up as straight as he could, trying to show off, but ended up standing too straight, causing his form to look slightly twisted backwards in an abnormal manner.
"Are you...Alone?" Sellion asked interestedly.
A smile touched her maw, and she nodded, more bemused by his actions than anything else. Goodness he was an odd'un. "Alone? You could say that..." As she drew near, she gave him some berth, moving to circle him. "I certainly am not alone now, you see...because you're here, isn't that so?"
How strange...this male, he was definitely more childish than she, which pleased her, but at the same time, he was older, and that made him enticing. What Aseniki wanted, she took, and this fellow was no exception...the manner of her thieving was simply more delicate.
Sellion's head jerked to the side and he narrowed his eyes in thought at her words. She had an interesting point...
A VERY interesting one...
But Sellion grew bored of thinking about said point and moved onto his next thought.
"I am Sellion," he introduced himself abruptly, not bowing or showing any form of courtesy towards to the female. But maybe that was because he forgot his manners amongst the tumult of meeting a new person. "And soon..." he continued, a touch of deep excitement to his tone. He lowered his head, pink eyes almost seeming to glow. "I will become a demon." At his own words, an uncontrollable giggle burst forth from his mouth. Shocked at the sound, Sellion sucked the giggle back and turned his head left and right, as if searching for the source of the startling laugh.
"I am Aseniki'mzao." She replied grandly, the tip of her tail twitching from side to side, an idle reflection of the speed at which her mind was working. How best to sway this striking specimen of a male.
Oh wonderful, he was one of that lot...but at least he was a cheetah. Strange, from her impression of them, she'd rather thought they were somewhat elitest. Not that that was a terrible thing...pure bloodlines were a thing to be proud of. "A demon, eh?" An easy response, as though she wasn't impressed, "I know one of them, her name is Hakuna, and she's a grand, red and gold demoness." Bragging, but not overtly so.
Unstable, this male...but it didn't matter...adults were peculiar anwyay, they had a right to be, even so much as she did.
A profound wheezing came from Sellion after Aseniki spoke of the demon she knew. His legs wobbled and he swayed from side to side. He stumbled awkwardly much closer to the cheetah female, gaping at her, heart beating quickly in his chest. It took him several tries before he was able to speak.
"Do you...Speak the truth?" he choked in question. He knew she must be speaking the truth from the easy description she gave, but Sellion could also become quite gullible when it came to talk of demons. "Where...What..." he stammered, a large grin forming on his black and pink face. Truly this cheetah must be of grand, evil stature if she kept the company of demons...Sellion's grin only broadened at the thought. Perhaps the two of them would get along very nicely, Asenki and he? Perhaps she would be his devious, plotting partner? But no...
She seemed too young for that...
