Adhara wasn't at all sure she liked the idea of swimming. And she was sure that her tentacles liked the idea even less. They were completely enthralled by the fact that she was wearing so much less -only a two piece, dark pink child's swimsuit- but by the time she tried to get to the water, they were grabbing onto anything that was still on the beach, or was heading away from it. Finally, the purple-haired girl pouted and plopped onto her bottom at the edge of the surf, the water barely touching the bottoms of her feet, though her tentacles immediately tried burying themselves in the sand behind her, where it was [hopefully] dry.

So Adhi sulked on the sand where she was, watching the surfers and other people out on the ocean who looked no more than tiny little specs with how far away they were. She wished she could join them... Looking out to sea, her amber eyes caught sight of a ship, and she followed it, gaze sharpened on the far-off object. It led her line of sight to an elder-looking lighthouse, and her eyes widened. The decrepit building was on the other side of the beach, but that wasn't all that far away. She stood, tentacles coming out of the ground grasping lumps of sand, and she stood on tiptoe, hand to her forehead to block out the sunlight, and peered at the lighthouse, before taking a glance at Noah. Maybe she could go out there without him noticing...

Erikk had thought about it for a while, and finally decided that he would take Samantha to the beach. He and her had gotten a lot of alone time thus far, for she couldn't really take care of herself quite yet. She smiled as she walked bare foot across the sand. He had her hand in his, though he had to bend down a bit, so he could hold her hand with ease.

She wobbled across the beach, looking out into the water, wanting to step in. She didn't like baths so much, but she felt she would like the ocean more. It seemed nice enough at least.

She then noticed something (or someone) in the sand in front of them. She then pulled her arm away from Erikk and began to run towards the object. It ended up being a girl. "Whee!" she said as she came close to her. Erikk of course, watching her every move. She just plopped down right in front of her and started to play in the sand with her little two piece baby suit.

Adhi jumped slightly at the sound of another's voice, wings snapping down to help her turn faster. Upon seeing the slightly smaller girl, she smiled happily. Another spawn, then! She sat in the sand herself, making foot- and handprints that were easily washed away by the lukewarm sea water. She lifted a hand and waved a bit at the new girl. "Hi!"

Noah, as usual, was paying less-than-parental attention to his daughter. He was a bit of a ways away, in his swim trunks and a t-shirt, reading under a rainbow beach umbrella, chosen by Adhi herself. His attention wasn't re-captured by the outside world until Adhara spoke again. Blinking up at the sea and the two girls, he set his book down and stood, approaching the two on the beach. By the time he got there, another man had also arrived. He looked from the man to the small redhead. No resemblance whatsoever. He gestured toward the smaller girl a bit.

"I suppose that one's your's, then?"

Samantha was a bit startled by the sudden movements. "Hi. Me Sam! Who you?" she said, smiling. She was happy to find yet another face that was friendly. So far all the people she found were friendly. She giggled a tad, clapping and waiting for a response.

Erikk was right behind, as usual, and as the other man approached, Erikk nodded. "Yes, she is. And I'm guessing this child here is yours?" he said smiling, holding his hand out as to allow him to shake it. "I'm Erikk Wilson, and this is my daughter Samantha. And you are?" he stated like he had so many times before already. He stood, waiting for an answer.

Adhara pointed to herself curiously in response, before smiling brightly. "I'm Adhara! It's nice to meet you Sam," she replied, nodding a bit as though to reassure the fact that it truly was nice to meet this other girl; why the reassurance was needed, she wasn't sure. It was just a habit she'd formed over the... months.

"She just so happens to be," Noah responded, shaking Erikk's hand for a moment. Letting it drop, he gestured toward the little purple-haired girl sitting in the sand. "That's Adhara, and I'm Noah By'arre. Pleasure to meet you, Erikk. Come here often?"

Samantha smiled and clapped as to say it was a good thing that all that happened. She was having fun already. Just meeting a new face was amazing enough for her. She then began to play in the sand a bit, right in front of Adhara. She pulled some of her sand together and started creating a sand castle, just like the last time she had played in the sand.

Erikk stood there in silence for a moment, listening and taking everything in Noah had to say. "No, not really. This is the first time I've taken Samantha to the beach. It should be fun I guess. She loves the sand." he said smiling, looking down at his little girl. "How about you?" he said smiling.

Adhara smiled as well, watching was Sam was doing curiously before she acted herself. She still wasn't used to playing with children who were younger than her, if Sam actually was younger than her... she wasn't sure; it seemed that most of the Seven of Seven children were kind of general ages, not specific. That never made any sense to her. When she figured out that the other girl was making a sand castle, she grinned happily, and started working on another side to it, her wings getting a bit damp on the edges as the tide rose slowly. She twitched the feathers a bit, and raised her wings up some, trying to keep them dry.

"Well, I hope that it'll be fun for you, then. I used to come to the beach a lot, but that was more when I was younger. This is the first time I've ever taken Adhi, but those tentacles of her's don't seem to want to let her into the water... And, if you don't mind my asking, when has she played in the sand before, if she's never been to the beach?" Noah responded, feeling quite talkative compared to his usual only-talk-as-much-as-necessary-minimum.

Samantha smiled, still building. This time in the sand was a lot different than the last. This time, she was playing with wetter sand. So, the walls of the castle were more sturdy this time around. She sat there in the sand, smiling happily.

Erikk smiled and realized that he wasn't very clear the first time. "Oh, we were at a playground the last time. And when we were, there was a little sand box where she played. She had a lot of fun actually. Or so I thought." he smiled. He then looked at the two girls playing happily together. He wondered how Samantha seemed to get along with just everyone these days. It made a smile creep up upon his face.

Adhara played contentedly in the sand, but she just itched to do something else. Fun, exciting... more productive, as usual. She glanced back at the lighthouse, and her wings fluttered a bit. "Hey, Sam, do you wan'na come with me up to that lighthouse up there?" she asked curiously, pointing her entire arm out toward the large building, bright amber eyes set on Samatha, hope shining in their depths.

When Noah heard the suggestion from his little girl, he clenched his teeth in attempt at making it unnoticed. He didn't trust the little thing with so much as a fly swatter for fear that she would try to do something 'useful' with whatever it was that she dubbed useless. Apparently, she'd put that title on building sand castles. He turned his attention, instead, to Erikk. "Ah. That makes sense, then. I don't think that she's ever seen sand before, but I can't really be too sure. She doesn't seem very fond of it..." he mumbled this last bit, eyes following her pointing finger to the creepy-looking lighthouse. He wouldn't want those two going in there, that was for sure...

Samantha gaped at the thought of going somewhere else. She stood up, pointed at the same lighthouse, and began to jump and wobble about as usual. "Yes! Yes!" she said hopping around. Her wings fluttered and she clapped, laughing.

Erikk chuckled a bit and just shook his head. He knew that if the two did decide to go into that lighthouse, that he would follow them. So it wasn't like they would be alone. But he then turned back to Noah and said, "Well, Sam really likes the sand. And apparently she wants to go to that lighthouse as well. What do you say? We can supervise, get to know one another a little bit."

Adhara jumped up as well, wings aiding in getting to her feet, a smile plastered on her face. Her tentacles -previously buried in the sand to keep away from the water- shook themselves off a bit at the abruptness of being tugged out of the ground, though some sand stuck to them, which had both begging for Adhara to brush them off. Unfortunately, her version of 'brushing them off' was pushing the appendages away from her face and hand.

Dusting off both hands to get rid of the sand, she outstretched a hand toward the slightly smaller girl, one of her tentacles outstretching just a bit further, but she pulled it back with her other hand, shaking a finger at it warningly. Unfortunately, that just had it butting itself against her hand again, and she frowned irritably, dusting the sand off of it before she started toward the lighthouse.

Noah nodded in reply, already starting after his daughter. "That sounds like a plan," he replied, confirming the other's choice of actions, though he wasn't quite sure what to say next. His daughter had been running into quite a few spawn recently, which had him socializing a lot more than usual. Curious that those were the only people he ran into, the ones who'd had a run-in with Seven of Seven. Aside from recently, when he'd been forced into this world of strangely inhuman children, Noah had never really been one for socialization.

Samantha smiled and grabbed the hand of Adhara. She was excited to have made a friend. She began to run a bit, tumbling here and there, she smiled and wobbled a bit as she kept walking further. Her wings fluttered incessantly with every step.

Erikk smiled and said, "Good. We can go than." He then began to walk slowly behind the two girls towards the lighthouse. "So..." he began to say to the other father. "How did you come across your daughter. She isn't yours biologically is she?" he continued. It would have been awkward if she had been, but she couldn't have had been, since she looked NOTHING like him. But you never know these days.

Adhara smiled and laughed a bit at the fluttering of the smaller girl's wings, her own flapping just a bit, as though they would be able to get her off the ground, though they remained unable to do such a thing. The difference between the size of her body and the size of her wings was still such that the most she could do would be to cushion a fall, if she happened to fall from somewhere that wasn't too high up.

Surprisingly, the lighthouse was closer than she thought it would be, and they were soon hiking up a little trail that led to the ledge that the building was perched upon. However, said trail was a bit nerve-wracking for the girl, who was only just discovering that she was afraid of heights, and she made sure that Sam walked in front of her, so that she could keep the little girl from falling, even though she wasn't much bigger herself. Her wings were closed tightly against her back, and her tentacles were wrapped around the upper part of Sam's waist, though it was hard to tell if this was for her own sake, or for the other spawn's sake.

"Actually... well, no, she's not mine biologically. But I don't completely remember how I came upon her, just that I picked her up from this Seven of Seven place, because her last home sorta forgot about her," he replied, laughing a bit, though it was more hesitant, not so much laughing at the incident than laughing at his muddled facts. "What about your's? Not to be rude, but she doesn't bear much of a resemblance."

Samantha walked happily in front of her new found friend. She was most certainly happy to have her. She was bigger, but not by a whole lot. She was excited to be going inside of this creepy lighthouse. Things like this made her feel great.

"Honestly, no she isn't biologically mine either. Actually, I don't even know of any of this Seven of Seven you speak of. But I'll do my research. I obtained a letter to come pick up something, and all of a sudden someone handed me a baby in some abandoned building. I ended up just keeping her and giving her a home with my girlfriend and my son. She is one of the family, that's for sure." he said walking behind the two girls. They seemed to be having fun, and that's all that mattered to Erikk.

Finally reaching the trail's end, Adhara breathed a sigh of relief, and looked up at the large building, which was so much bigger than it had been when they were so far away. Her amber eyes travelled up to the top of the lighthouse, where a dying bulb shone a dull yellow light that spun around the upper part of the building. It was easy for her to draw her attention away from this and take Sam's hand, taking a few steps through the sand and pushing open the lighthouse door, which creaked hauntingly, as though it was trying to spook them. Adhara merely giggled and looked down at her new friend. "You're not too scared yet, right?"

Noah couldn't help but stare at the man for a moment. "...seriously?" he asked, bordering on skeptic. He wasn't paying much attention as he followed the two girls now, finally becoming interested in this conversation. "Wow. I didn't know that someone would go to such lengths to get rid of a child," he frowned softly, looking at the little redhead. "I can't see why anyone would want to get rid of her, either. She seems well-behaved and all. I'm glad that she is, too, for your sake at the very least."
