Contrary to popular belief aishiteru is not how the Japanese say 'I love you' to one another. It is used mostly in music, drama, and anime/manga.

'I love you' would be dai suki desu (だいすきです)。

Also to help add to this list I'll contribute some numbers!

Ichi = One
Ni = Two
San = Three
Shi/Yon = Four
Go = Five
Roku/Shichi = Six
Nana = Seven
Hachi = Eight
Kyuu = Nine
Jyuu = Ten

And to compose higher numbers is simple.

For teens- 10 + (number)

Jyuu ichi (10 + 1) = 11
Jyuu ni (10 + 2) = 12
Jyuu san (I think you have the idea) = 13
Jyuu yon (Alternative four) = 14
Jyuu go = 15
Jyuu roku = 16
Jyuu nana = 17
Jyuu hachi = 18
Jyuu kyuu = 19
Ni Jyuu (2 x 10) = 20

For twenties- 2 x 10 + (number)

Ni jyuu ichi = 11
Ni jyuu ni = 12
Ni jyuu san = 13
Ni jyuu yon = 14

So on for 30s, 3 x 10 + (number), and every other digit afterwards to 90.

100 in japanese is hyaku.

Hope it helped!

Ugh, I took 2 years of Japanese and still have a hard time comprehending a lot of the grammatics... Still, it's good to know some stuff, because it makes watching non-dubbed animu easier xd

I figured I should add something useful to this. Knowing all these words doesn't do you any good if you don't know how to put them together. Grammar time!

And pardon my romaji, I only write in the characters, usually, so things are going to be all sorts of spelled wrong lol.

Particles
These identify words within a sentence. Many words can be placed -anywhere- in a sentence in Japanese, as long as they are coupled with the right particle.

Ga - Subject Marker - Doer/Existing

John ga piiza wo tabemashita. (John is eating the pizza. John is the doer.)
John ga imasu. (John is there. John is the one existing.)

Wo - Object Marker - Affected by an action.

Piiza wo tabete! (Eat the pizza! The pizza is being affected by the action eat.)
John ga Tom wo shikarimashita. (John scolded Tom. John is the subject, marked by Ga and Tom is the one being affected by the scolding, marked by Wo.)

Ni - Toward or In - Destination or Place

John ga Pari ni imasu. (John will go to Paris. Ni identifies Paris (Pari) as the destination.)
Piiza ga furiizaa ni aimasu. (The pizza is in the freezer. The Pizza is the subject. Ni identifies the freezer (furiizaa) as the place the Pizza is in.)

Mo - Also - This is not to be confused to TO (Together with)

John ga kimashita. Tom mo kimashita. (John came. Tom also came.)

Kara/Made - To/From; Up to/Until - Both used in location and time!

John ga Romu kara Pari made ikimasu. (John will go from Rome to Paris. Kara marks Rome as the start and made marks Paris as the end.)
John ga Kurisumasu kara Barentaindee made Hawai ni imasu. (John will be in Hawaii from Christmas to Valentine's Day. Kara and Made in this sense mark Christmas and Valentine's Day as times.)

De - By means of/At - Traveling

John ga basu de Bosuton ni ikimasu. (John will go to Boston by bus. De marks Bus (basu) as the means of travel.)
Kicchin de benkyou shite! (Study in the kitchen! This would be literally translated as something like "Do the thing of studying AT the place which is the kitchen". That's why Ni isn't used here.)

To - Together With - Related

John ga Tom to Pari ni imasu. (John will go to Paris with Tom. To marks the two, Tom and John as doing something together. Mo just indicates that they are both doing the same thing, but they aren't doing it together. To is a much more friendly particle.)

All done! Memorizing these particles and their uses makes Japanese a breeze, since everything after that becomes a fill in the blank. Learning the particles leaves you with two tasks - learning the writing systems and learning individual words!

Good luck ^^

Wow, a big addition. xD I love how most Japanese words sound (most.... I don't like the "broken" English) but I hate having to learn the grammar sorta thing. :p
I just like adding sounds like ne, Saa, and Mou in sentences. xd

Most Japanese words aren't done in "broken English", but there are quite a few decent loan words, which are written in Katakana, a character system developed specifically for loan words in the Japanese language. I just used mostly loan words for the sentences so there would be more familiar words to look at.

Things like a jikoshoukai - or self introduction - have no Katakana words in them, unless your name isn't one commonly found in Japanese. Even then, look up the meaning of your name (like my English name means "Able" or Yuunou in Japanese) and find the corresponding Kanji with the same or similar meaning and you can even change your name to Japanese.

konnichi wa ^^ Domo Arigatou

you should make a list that shows the English word first it might be easier for people to find words that way, just a suggestion Sayonara ^^
