It was a quiet morning, the birds were singing their daily songs and the sun was peaking out from the top of a small mountain. Asami let her eyes wander around as she continued to walk through the open field. With it being morning, the sun wasn't too hot and the cool dew on the fresh grass soaked Asami's legs. The mare sighed happily as she listened to the sweet sounds of the birds singing to one another. Her blue eyes closed for a moment as she imagined what they were singing about.
When she opened her eyes, Asami's eyes met with a group of trees she was headed towards. Asami began to hum a tune that formed in her head as she walked along. The birds singing seemed to fit well with the mare's humming. Asami let her mind clear as she hummed, not letting a thought in her head about where she was going or what she was doing. Her mind took this opportunity to wander off to a distant universe.

It was a new day and with the rising of the morning sun came an array of new opportunities and encounters. For a wandering bard such as himself, such news was delightful and positiviely warmed the heart. He was comforted and embraced by the warmth of the sun's rays and even now he could tell that this day would be most fascinating. For a brief time he had returned to visit his family, but now he had returned to his 'idle' wandering and had drifted out of the forest and into the open plains to survey the horizon. While most often declared it looked the same every day, Zhu often claimed that it changed depending on the mood of the spirits - for this morning it appeared they were in a pleasant mindset.
Thus, it was after a few more minutes of wandering that the Uni-Angeni came to a halt underneath a solitary tree. Glancing up, he took note of the ripening apples above his head and took it into consideration for a potential lunch later. However, further examination of the area only served to confirm that this was the perfect place to relax for the day. It would provide shelter against the sun and food for lunch, that and the water was only a short walk or flight a way - really he couldn't have planned it better if he tried.
Content with his position, he soon unfurled his right wing and very gently withdrew the pristine leaf from within the feathers. Despite the approaching autumn it remain in perfect health, sustained by the Angeni magic that ran through his veins. Admittedly it would never be as powerful as his mother's, but it served it's purpose. He could ask nothing more of it than to keep his pet leaf alive and the acquaintances he met happy. That wasn't too much to ask, or so the Uni-Angeni assumed given that most left his company with a smile.
This in mind, the young stallion calmly propped the leaf between his hooves and lowering his head, began to blow softly on it. Initially the leaf remained quiet but slowly but surely the soft and harmonic whistle could be herd fluttering across the grasslands on a gentle breeze...
