I uploaded two pages to the web, since I'm not really scared of anyone stealing them. It's not that great. I know I can do better than this.

UPDATE October 12, 2008: Started working on another comic roughly a week ago, right after I made this thread. I've been feeling that the first story I was working on could wait after this.
All the pages are sketched. 7 of them inked. Half are nearly done colored.
I skipped the writing, and I didn't even draw thumbnails... Which is just WEIRD. O___o
When I was working on the first page, I was like "Okay, I'm just going to doodle, take a break from the first story, see how it goes, and THEN go back." I didn't go back. I didn't hold back. It was like graffiti.

I'll probably go back to the comic I was originally working on, but for now this is working out for me really smoothly. The other one had a bunch of tweaking to the writing and the artwork was redone for a second time, which is the one you're seeing below here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's a little something from the 3rd page. Basically, I'm aiming to do eight of them. I nearly have the sketching and inking done for 5 pages, and I plan on doing the coloring last.
I don't want to post an entire page or even go into detail about the story. I'm planning on sending these to Dark Horse Comics when I'm done, as well as maybe a few other publishers who are accepting open submissions. If I get denied outright by everyone of these publishers I might:
1) Work on another story proposal that's probably even better.
2) Publish what I'm doing now on the web. I'm saving this for when there's no other way though. I want to take the self-publishing route last.
The reason why I decided to post a little linework with a bit coloring is just to show you guys and maybe even get some critique. I'm 95% confident in my work and the other 5% is a strange mixture of doubt but with some hope.
Keep in mind this is not the final coloring. I'm not even sure if I want those exact colors, but it's going to be quite similar. Do you think it's too much? Not enough? If you were able to see this in full color, with the full bells and whistles of the Tinting: Soft Glazing Round brush and a bit of some digital watercolor in Painter, do you think it could sell? Does it appear that I'm using the same brush? Does it matter to you? Is it tolerable to watch?
Yeah, I'm a bit worried... o__o I think it's somewhat good but I REALLY wanna know what the Art Fags think of this.
