Yeah, psychic powers mostly deal with your abnormal brain waves, it may cause you to see the future, read peoples thoughts, see ghosts, move objects without touching them and so on.

most people do limit psychic to precognition (seeing the future) but there is also:
postcognition- seeing the past 2nd sight- seeing events taking place in another area, through anothers eyes telekenisis- moving things with your mind telepathy- reading minds pyrokenisis- controling fire (aka: telepyrosis) aquakenisis- controlling water with your mind (aka: teleaquais) terrakenisis- controlling Earth with your mind (aka: teleterras) areokenisis- controlling wind and weather with your mind (aka:teleaerias) crytokenisis- controlling ice with your mind (aka: telecrytis) spirit sight- self explanatory aura sight- also self explanatory
there are others but those are the basics and the ones i've seen or have first hand.

I've picked up a few things about magic over the years. And one thing that seems to be a consistent theme. EVERYONE is confined to whatever gift they have if they have any psychic gift at all. No book can give you the ability to conjure spells like those rpgs. And that's so Raven is completely full of crap. The list of things that you have "seen" sounds like a list of powers taken from the tv show X-men. In fact I've "seen" every single one of those abilities on that tv show. I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to magic. But I don't dismiss things that could be probable. So from a perspective of probability from what I know. For elements like wind, fire, earth and water to be affected by thought. It would go into a theory...I don't know the scientific name for it but I refer to it as string theory. Basically this theory states that there is some invisible connection to all the people in the world. And by this theory it would be possible for people to be connected to plant life as well. Wouldn't be able to feel something that someone else felt be in the realm of second sight? All of the types of abilities you listed actually could be probable through string theory.

I'd be interested to know how you would classify the following situation. Two kids are playing with these whistles at there grandmothers house. There grandfather keeps telling them not to play with those whistles. Because they will get hurt. One day one of the kids ends up with a scar from the whistle. Is this just wisdom or would you classify this as something else? I'd also like to here what your stand on ghosts is.

There wasn't neccesarily anything magical involved, and off subject, i thought the story was kinda funny, i mean whistle's? I could understand knives but whistles?

There wasn't neccesarily anything magical involved, and off subject, i thought the story was kinda funny, i mean whistle's? I could understand knives but whistles? That was actually a true story. The one that was hurt was my brother. This happened when we were about three years old. He's almost 25 now yet he still has that scar to this day. See, they were these one boat whistles. I doubt they still make them or you will will ever actually see one. When you blow one of those whistle. The propeller on the boat spins around and it makes a whistling sound. I don't remember the details exactly since it was about 21-22 years ago. But I do remember my mom speaking of how it happened. Me and my brother were rough housing one day. The whistle was sitting on the table. Basically he tripped and hit his head on the thing. The propeller on the whistle was made of a hard plastic. With pieces of plastic sticking up to make the boat treads or whatever they are called. I guess I will initiate the conversation about ghosts. I will start by outlining some of the most likely truths that are flying about the subject. If you've ever carried on a conversation about this topic before. You will probably here someone bring up something they saw out of the corner of there eye. Then when they go to get a good look at whatever it was it's disappeared. One time several of my cousins were staying the night at my grandmothers house. My cousin mat thought he saw someone in the hallway walk into the bathroom. The next day he mentioned this to a few of my older cousins, at least they were older than him. Basically, he described the figure of what could only have been my grandfather. But because of his age, he hadn't been born by the time my grandfather passed away. He didn't actually know what the man looked like. One of them pointed out that it was a very high possibility that they knew who that was. See, there are several members of my family. That don't dismiss the notion of ghosts. In fact, some of us are rather convinced that they are actually real. Now that I've mentioned a highly probable scenario. I will bring up a popular tale that doesn't seem to hold its weight. The story of Mary Wether. At one time or another. Everyone that has heard this story decides to try it out. Basically you look in a mirror when it's night out. With all of the lights turn out. And chant I believe in Mary Wether. And if you chant for long enough. Then this figure is supposed to appear to you. I take the side of a psychologist even though my personal opinion of there practice. Is that most of there attempts are in vain. Basically, if you plant an idea in your mind and focus on it for long enough. Your mind will actually make it seem real whether it actually is or not. The figure would most likely appear in a different form depending on the persons imagination. I don't believe in this myth. But I wouldn't use this as a basis to disregard any folk tale. Just to be on the safe side. It's probably best that you not goof around with random chants out of books. Especially ones that are dated over five hundred years in the past. If I had to guess, I'd say that from a theoretical standpoint. If magic was as simple as casting spells with an effect. Then most of the magic in the word that would allow such a thing. Was extinguished about the time of the dark ages. This is purely from a historical standpoint. There were far too many odd happenings around this time. To discard any notions of non abnormal happenings.

I can feel my dead uncle every time I go upstairs in my grandmother's house. He stays in his room, and it actually scares me a bit because I can feel his presence there, but I can't see him. Also, one of my friends can see auras ((decided to pop that in for fun))

To the above I'm highly skeptical about what you just said. Not so much the ghost part. But you didn't exactly add anything to try to prove that it actually happened either. About the friend being able to see aura's thing. This is more or less an observational skill. In other words, your friend is lying to you.
I can tell a persons base personality just by hearing them speak. It also works if I'm reading a post on the internet. This is a learned skill that has nothing to do with magic. Just like your friends ability to "read aura's". The most likely scenario is they are just skilled at reading body language.
