She was cloud-watching for the first time.
In the rare moments that she was allowed out by herself (mostly due to Tiil'xhin having to work on experiments), she took time to relax and appreciate the nature around her, stretching out in the grass and letting out a small yawn. The weather was so nice, and should she get too hot, there was a small lake nearby that was the perfect temperature...!
Yes, it was indeed a good day.

Izzy felt very much like a teddy bear at the moment. Daddy had dressed her in a spring dress with a backless sweater (after all, her plates were huge!) and a pink furry muff hung around her waist. She was apt for getting chilly, what with her slimy, sluggy girdle, so she always had to dress pretty warm.
Daddy had decided to let Izzy explore on her own for once, although he was watching her like a hawk. He sat on a picnic blanket a while away, reading a book and peeking up at his daughter every few seconds. When ever Izzy caught his eye, he pointed to something interesting. No, Izzy, he wasn't watching you, he was looking at the orange tree!

Antennae twitching to movement near her, Azoc sat up and glanced around, finally spotting the little girl and smiling at her. Did she want to cloud-watch too? Azoc hardly ever got to hang out with kids her own age... raising a claw, she waved.

Izzy toddled over, raising a strangely-textured hand in greeting. She'd never cloud-watched before, and so had no idea why anyone would lay out in the grass staring up for any reason. She looked up where the pretty blue girl had been looking at. She only saw sky. Hrm...
The chiton girl plopped down beside her and laid back on her plates, rocking on them slightly. "My name Iddy. Watchoo doin'?"

"Watching clouds." Azoc smiled, pointing up at the sky after she had taken a good look at the girl, flopping back on the ground to stare upward again. "I'm Azoc. See? That one looks like a bunny." She pointed at the one with shifting ears. "You have to look fast though, 'cause they change."

Izzy peered up, following Azoc's claw, and saw nothing but a cloud. Hrm...
She tilted her head as far as it would go to the right, and then giggled. "I see it! I do! Iss fallin' asleep, see?" The bunny's ears were lagging back, and its feet began to disappear.

Azoc grinned at the girl, holding back a delighted laugh. "Yeah, it's going to sleep." Indefinitely, thought Azoc, though didn't voice it aloud. The only downside to cloud watching was that nothing stayed forever... but at least you had fun while you did it.

At the moment, Izzy didn't understand death or anything like it, so a cloud disappearing simply meant it went somewhere else. She waggled her feet a little before planting them to rock some more.
"Lookit! That one's a puppy!" It did indeed look like a puppy...a...very angry puppy of the Doberman variety. One had to wonder just how many "puppies" Izzy had seen.

"It's-" Just as Azoc spotted it, she smiled wide. The cloud seemed to stretch a bit, claws forming where the paws were. "Now it's an Asian Lung." The dragon she was going to get, as a cloud! How neat! "A dragon..."

Izzy looked over to Azoc. "A what? Is that the dragon you're gettin'?" she was so excited for one of her own some day!

"Yup!" Azoc murmured happily, sitting up to look at the girl now. "What about you, do you know what dragon you're getting?"

"Well," Azoc murmured, chuckling. "When you do, you'll have to find me and tell me what it is. It's always exciting to find out what kind of egg you're going to get."
