AIM LOG: Illuseon & _ p a o cx Large paws treading forward and navy-colored eyes nonchalantly scouring the lands before him, Imara'Maji made his way over the shore's sand. He was very alert and aware of his surroundings, cautious of any danger around him. It had been a few days since the time he'd met the lovely Cheetah, Naya, and he found he missed having company even more so after being taunted by its presence for such a short time. It was past midday at this point, as Maji made his way towards a specific spot he hoped may ease his loneliness- not because it had company, simply because he enjoyed the spot. Maji's tail swayed slowly behind him, and the sun was beginning to cast long shadows across the ground so that it looked as if he were following his own, when at last it came into view- the cliff. The same cliff he had led Naya to days before, though his aim was not the cliff's top this afternoon, but its base.Naya stirred from an afternoon nap that...was more an accident than an actual plan. It was happening a bit more often with the slightly cooler weather, and the soothing sounds of the waves that seemed to be a natural sleep inducer for her. The cheetah femme stood and stretched out, a rather big yawn escaping her as she did. Once she was finished she took a seat, mind slowly coming to the realization that Maji had gone off on his own. The femme frowned a bit, already missing his company, so she started off on her own, following the prints that he'd left in the sand. Another good thing about the beach.. Eventually she'd managed to catch up, his blue figure coming into view. He'd made his way to the cliff he'd shown her on the first day that they'd met, and the femme smiled and sped up her pace a bit. "Hey," she called as soon as she thought she was close enough to be heard over the sounds of the ocean. "I was wondering where you'd gone off to..""Oh!" Having been so set on the scene before him, Maji was a little startled by Naya's feminine voice calling out to him. "You're so quick!" Maji turned to her with a pleasant smile, "I'm glad to see you." It was true, she had almost been upon him by the time he realized that there was something approaching from behind, but he'd recognized her scent, and so he hadn't become defensive. Maji's eyes scanned over her very quickly before turning back to the front. The sand was warm against his paw pads and became increasingly cooler as they moved onto moister sand, on towards the cliff's base. "I was just heading towards the cliff's base- there are caves there, you know! Do you enjoy exploring?"Naya smiled and luahged lightly. She was always so amused by his reactions, especially when she managed to sneak up on him. Which...seemed to be pretty often, now that she thought about it. "It's nice to see you too," she replied, "I'm sorry for falling asleep on you." And she gave a nervous laugh. "It's just so relaxing here!" The femme took a seat beside him, looking on toward the cliff's base, his destination apparently. "The base of the cliff..?" she asked, her smile widening at the mention of exploring. Being the curious type, she was never one to turn down an offer to explore something new. "Yes, I love exploring!" she continued, unable to contain her excitement. "Just lead the way." And with a smile she stood and waited.Maji let out an amused chuckled and walked on. "Well that's good! You're just my kind of companion you know, Naya~" He's let off somewhat at the end of his sentence, for a thought had come to his head, but he decided to mention it later on, perhaps after their exploration. "I think you'll enjoy the caves, I only just recently found them, so there's not much I know about them. But... there is one spot that I would like for you to see." Maji grinned, exposing his fangs after glancing back to her. "The time of day is just right, I think." At that, his pace quickened with excitement, though he kept in mind not to loose his composure in front of the pretty femme. Come to think of it, he had never thought much of himself being a lion, and Naya, a cheetah, so he decided not to fret over it at all.

"Oh?" she mused, her smile only widening. The femme followed after him, keeping pace somewhat, though ocasionally falling behind because of one interest object or another. It happened a lot, so through an apologetic smile she silently hoped he was getting used to her overly curious personality. And...slightly scattered brain. Her eyes continued to dart here and there, shimmering and shinging objects catching her eye more and more often the farther they walked. "So what exactly do you know about these caves?" she asked, her voice starting to echo. They'd gotten to the mouth of the cave sooner than she'd expected, and she trotted up alongside Maji to make sure she didn't get left behind. "And how many times have you been here?"
"Well~" Maji smirked and his eyelids lowered somewhat as he slowed and looked back to Naya. His pace continued to gradually slow until he came to a stop after entering the cave somewhat. "I'm not telling you where it is that we're heading specifically, I'd like for it to be a surprise." Maji wrinkled his nose with delight. "Huhu~ I don't know how far they go, or what lives in them... aside from bats of course. Oh, but I've been here several times, maybe a dozen or so." Maji took a step forward, turning his body more towards Naya with a wide smile, so that his cheeks poofed out the slightest bit. "I've marked the trails I know with little trinkets I've found though, so no need to worry about getting, er, too lost."
Naya had complete confidence in him, whether he knew it or not, so she wasn't afraid of getting lost within the caves. So long as she wasn't alone. So with a nod she followed after him, keeping her eyes on him most of the time as soon as they had gone far enough so that the light of day wasn't able to reach them anymore. The cave was interesting, as it was so new to her. The moist air, as opposed to the dry air back in the desert; the feel of wet sand beneath her paws and in between her toes. It was, in spite of the darkness, very relaxing. She had been quiet most of the trip thus far, 'ooh'-ing and 'aah'-ing on occasion, but never making much conversation. Naya glanced back at Maji, trying to think of something to say. The silence was starting to get a little bit...weird. So, when she thought of something, she cleared her throat. "So......" and nothing else followed..
Maji was so eager to reach his secret spot and to show Naya that he didn't quite notice how awkward the silence must have been for poor Naya. So for awhile, he continued forward in a rather brisk pace, eyes wide and mouth opened slightly with a grin, tail wriggling behind his large form as he followed his little seashell markers to the spot. Finally, once a few shining minerals began to appear, wedged into the stone walls, Maji craned his head to the side and exclaimed, "We're almost there! The shining stones in the walls means it's close!" After seeing Naya's expression he blinked and slowed his pace, his grin turned to a neutral kind of position. "Oh-! H-how rude of me. We've been walking in silence all this time, haven't we?" Maji's ears drooped and he bowed his head lightly to the pretty femme. "I'm so sorry."
The femme giggled and caught up with him, stepping lightly beside him she gave the large male a nudge. "Sorry for...?" she asked with a smile, then ran slightly ahead of him, following his markers carefully. "So why is this spot so special to you anyway?" she called back to him, her eyes focused on the ground to make sure she didn't make any wrong turns or anything of that sort. Though she was sure that, if she did go the wrong way, Maji would help her out, it would still be rather embarassing. Especially since he'd left markers to guide the way. The cheetah stopped and looked back at her companion, a grin spread wide across her maw. "Is it......really pretty? Are there lots of fish?" And the thoughts kept coming, and she kept voicing them out. The more she wondered, the more excited she became, to the point where she ran back to Maji and, with a laugh, nudged him to walk faster. "C'mon, c'mon!"

Maji blushed a little as he was nudged by the cheetah girl, unable to make his legs move forward for a moment as his brain had somewhat lapsed due to this contact. "Oh- er, y-yes, it's very pretty! I'm not sure if there are fish there though." It didn't take too long before he came back to his sences, at which time he cleared his throat nervously and continued forward at a leisurely pace, his smile returning, tail wriggling as he watched Naya's excitement. "It's just up ahead, after that turn." As they continued, the minerals glinting in the walls seemed to multiply, little by little, and somehow the cave was getting a little brighter as they neared their destination. Just as they were about to turn the corner Maji bounded ahead, turning around in mid-air so that he faced Naya. "Wait! Close your eyes and I'll tell you when you can open them~"
Naya stopped rather abruptly when he bounded ahead out of nowhere. The femme hadn't expected it, since after she'd nudged him forward he sort of...slowed down some more. So she'd gone ahead, and at the mention of exit Naya had quickened her pace. But...it seems he was intent on keeping it a surprise until they were standing smack in the middle of it. So she blinked a bit cluelessly for a moment, then let out a small giggle. "You really want it to be a surprise huh?" she asked, then closed her eyes obediently. "Okay then, lead the way!" And with that she waited patiently for him to nudge her along, excitement bubbling over and showing through her very...wide smile.
Maji grinned excitedly as he directed her by standing to her side and walking slowly, all the while saying things like "forward a little", "almost there" and "okay, now left!" until finally he stopped, nudged her gently and told her to stop. "Now, open your eyes!" Still grinning, now his pelt had a luminescent appeal as the warm water aquifer glowed and reflected off of the minerals wedged into the walls and within it. Behind the initial pool was several others- the tunnels had been worn away into a large room due to water wear, so stalagmites and tites were strewn around, water dripping down from their tips into the pools already present. Maji was aside himself with pride for the moment, he just knew that Naya would love it. "What do you think?" The burly lion trotted over between the large pool and a smaller one nearby and turned to face her with a smile.
The femme's smile widened and she opened her eyes almost as soon as he said it was okay. What she saw she definitely wasn't expecting, and her expression went from excitement to disbelief, and back again after a moment. She was, to put it very simply, speechless as she stared out into the large room. 'Use your...words, Naya..' she thought to herself, and when she finally came to she padded over to Maji laughing. "This place is amazing! How on earth did you find it anyway? Just...exploring?" she asked, still turning her head here and there trying to take it all in. "Do you think there're any more like it nearby? Maybe tucked away behind another cave or two along the beach?"
The lion was very pleased with himself and with her speechless reaction. Maji listened to Naya's questions and thought for a moment before answering. "Well, I haven't gotten around to exploring much else. I've only been here a few times since I travel around, but I just happened to stumble upon it one day- literally." Maji chuckled nervously as he recalled his first visit to the chamber. "I slipped right into the pool..." His ears drooped a little at the memory though he retained the smile spread across his maw. Shaking his head slightly at his own carelessness, he ambled around, in between pools, around rocks protruding from the ground, being sure not to slip and fall as he had done before. "Be careful not to slip! And did you notice the shining stones in the walls? They're even lovelier in sunlight!" At that thought, Maji had an idea, but he decided to keep it to himself for now....
