I know there's gotta' be more than a few members that actively attend at least one kind of convention a year and at least more than just a few of you out there that cosplay?? Stories? Pictures?
And for no reason, a Llama! dramallama

I'd like to attend. Generally though lack of money and prior info always stop me. Though I am a fan of Renn. Fest I could post up some pictures of that sometime.
Cosplay wise- unfortunately once again time and money sad Though Nessachan and EmilyScissorhands are two guild members known for their exceptional costumes.

I have never gone to a convention, would like to though. I have cosplayed at work once for a Halloween contest; I'll look for that picture and post it here in when I find it. I cosplayed (very easily) as Ryou Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh! but I forgot to buy a duel disk and never got contacts for that day. xd Other than that I think I did really good (even if it was a cheap cosplay).

I'd be really interested in going to a convention, but I live far too far away on the other side of the world!

I've never done it. But I would like to... if they were closer and I had more money and I was a littler braver.

That would be awsome. But money seems to be the thing which stops me from going.

I would love to go to a convention and dress up the part. I never been to one, I no longer lived in Cali; and things are too expensive and too far away. xd

Wow... I'm really good at neglecting threads apparently sweatdrop
Ms Amane! That looks awesome! I squeed a little when I saw your picture 3nodding
NessaChan! You get out quite a bit, I see. I've always wanted to go to Youmacon and I've been invited out to Ohayocon a few times, but I've never been able to make it out there D:
Cons are extremely expensive. That's why I only make it out to one a year-ACen. It takes quite a bit of dedication to get to one-I think. Just cause there's a lot of planning and money that goes into everything... Costumes included. But I just Love the spirit that goes into it. I suggest at least trying to give it a go once in your lifetime sweatdrop

Thanks! The most expensive thing was either the wig or the necklace I can't rmember which at the moment. xd Probably because of my cold or whatever I'm sick with at the moment.

I've been to Anime Expo Twice: 2004 and 2006. It was actually pretty cool, and my friends and I have had some interesting moments.
One of my favorites was the T shirt Grab. ADV was throwing T shirts from their tower into hundreds of fans circled around them and I was one of the people in the crowd. What was funny was that I'm 6'2, and with my reach I'm almost 8 ft tall. Add to the fact that I can jump really high, and it was so unfair for everybody else. Out of the 20 shirts that they threw into the crowd, I caught 14. Every time I caught one, I gave it to my friends who put them in their bags. The ADV people were getting annoyed with me, so they started throwing them in other directions, but I was still fast enough and strong enough to get them. In the end, we ended up giving a bunch away, but it was still pretty funny to us. When I got home, I found a link to ADV's web site featuring Anime Expo, and they had a video called "Don't be that guy" where they showed me getting all the shirts. I wish I saved it! It was hillarious, and my friends and I got a great laugh out of it.

xd That sounds like good times, man. I Love con moments like that! I bet if you dug around for it, you could probably find it 3nodding
I'm trying really hard to make things more interesting for my friends at ACen next year. Every year, they let go a little more and more... This year, I'm ripping off their harnesses with an all out balls to the wall, ridiculous scavenger hunt which includes things that my poor friends probably wouldn't do. But I think they'd do it for the coveted Kirby Trophy I'm making... Cause who doesn't LOVE Kirby? whee
