Riley had never been one for Halloween, but when both Rysha AND Crescentia told him that kids liked doing the dressing up and trick or treating thing, he begrudingly went along with it. So that brought him to the local store with Emmet and Stella; the Snakeling was less than enthusiastic by being there, and Stella was more than happily going through the halloween costumes to find something that she liked.
Despite Riley's warning to be good and not make anything or anyone fall or cry or worse, Stella moved erratically, looking at the brightest of costumes to the strangest of costumes to the downright weird...which included a litre jug of fake blood. The black panther was on her way back to Riley to show him the jug of blood when she slipped on a fallen cape; lucky for her she was graceful, and she managed to catch herself on one side of a display of masks.
It was poor Emmet, who was beside Riley on the other side of the display, that got the tumble. A disgusting, wort-filled witch Mask disloged from the display when Stella caught herself, and it landed on Emmet's scaled tail and the boy let out a terrifed scream, clinging to Riley with everything he had.
"Aww, Emmy, it likes you!" Stella piped up happily when she rounded the display seconds after her adopted brother shrieked. Curious, she put the mask on her face, and wandered around the isle with it on.
"R-Riley...'m n-not f-feelin' good..." Emmet said, one hand holding his stomach the other one covering his mouth. Riley, knowing what this meant, instantly picked up the leucistic snakeboy and started to head towards the bathrooms. "Stella, I'll be right back. STAY HERE and BE GOOD." He warned her as he disappeared around the corner.
"Yeah yeah." Stella waved off Riley's worry, instead climbing up the shelves of halloween items to get a better idea of what was up higher...and she was still wearing the witch's mask.

Caden wandered down an isle of costume props, tail swishing idly. He wasn't being trailed for once, but he was being watched. In a nearby section of the store, Wolfie was pretending to look at wigs while keeping an eye on her boy. Usually, he didn't stray too far, and he was too lazy to get into much trouble, but you never knew for sure.
What on earth could he possibly be planning with that prop chain saw?
He could practically hear the thought going through Mom's head when he picked it up and brandished it. Though it was fairly realistic, it was also rather heavy, so he put it down and picked up the iron knuckles next to it. Too light. They were made of plastic. Caddie hadn't expected to find any real weapons here, but some of them, like the gigantic wooden broadsword that he lifted from a bucket next, were just plain cool. He held it out at arms length for a moment, bending his knees to accommodate the weight, and swung it over his head, just barely missing a rack full of masks.

The Panther child was staring at an interesting christmas bulb that she had down tucked in behind what may or may not have been a bundle of fake spiders when she felt something move under her. The Lion boy had barely missed the rack of masks, but the wind that came off his swing knocked off the already questionable balance of some items there that Stella had at one point used for a foot rest. The items came tumbling down, and down came Stella after she seemed to have misplaced her footing.
She felt herself go down and she pounced off of the shelf, landing nicely on her feet infront of the fallen masks and beside the Lion boy, staring down curiously at the masks that had fallen, pulling off the witch mask she had on. "That was fun." She hummed out with a grin before turning a bit, looking at the giant broadsword.
"COOL." She gasped out loud, following the Broadsword to the furry little thing holding it. "Hi. I'm Stella and your sword is cool." The little panther was more than excited to get to know this sword-wielding furry thing.

"My name's Caden and I'm a lion." he replied proudly, jabbing a thumb into his chest. Despite his equally inflated head, he paused to take a closer look at this pretty black girl. Her face was covered in fur like his and her ears and nose were like his, and she had a tail, but what was she? Tigers were orange and leopards were yellow. Maybe she was...just a cat? Maybe it was a really good Halloween costume, but he doubted it.
Caden pointed at the display a few feet away. "I got the sword from over there." he said as he rested it on his shoulder like he thought a real warrior would. "Wanna fight?"

"If your a lion, shouldn't your name be Leo?" Stella asked, honestly curious. Then again, she knew a Leo! But he was a pig. And he cried when she talked to him for some reason. Oh well. She noticed that he was staring at her, and in response she stuck her tongue out at him. "M' a Panther." Technically a Melanistic Leopard, but...Panther was so much easier to say. He told her his animal, she thought it would be nice to tell him his. It was one of the few times she thought to be courteous.
"Fight? OKAY!" She was grinning widely now, showing off her fangs. "I'll get a sword!" The girl was off in a flash, returning with a thinner sword with a rather intricate handle; the handle was why she chose it, but the sword itself was light enough to carry.
She stood a foot or two away from Caden, holding her sword at the ready and her stance wide. "Bring it on, fluffy!" She giggled, grinning as though she was having the greatest fun in the world already.
