[22:08] sephirosimmortal: Jaden was rather excited, actually, it was rare that he had anyone over, much less to stay the night. The little blond had declared it 'study night' and had been absolutely speechless with glee when Zach had agreed to come over. He would have asked Nat, but...well...things were awkward enough around the brunette, and Jaden didn't want things to get worse. Jaden was currently perched on the edge of his bed, shoeless, papers and whatnot strewn about him. he knew they could only study for so long, however... and that they would soon turn to less studious pursuits. And that was fine too, really...because he enjoyed Zach's company.
[22:11] KuroiNekoDuo: Zach showed up maybe a minute or two late - but he had reason for doing so ... as he had run by the mall to pick up some food for them. Most of it was snack-type things, but he'd also gotten a few of pints of ice cream - just in case he guessed wrong on what flavors Jaden liked. If they didn't eat all of that, he could always take it back to his own room, so he wasn't too worried.
Practically bouncing in the door, he grinned at the blond and waved with his free hand - backpack on his back and shopping bags dangling from the other hand. "Heya! I brought some food and stuff, didn't know if you had any here."

[23:16] sephirosimmortal: Jaden made a gleeful sound, skittering off the bed to peer at what his friend had bought. "Oh awesome! I have a few snacks, but probably not enough...thanks!" Grabbing Zach's wrist, he tugged him further inside, shutting the door behind him. "I've got some language homework though, what about you?" They had come to study, after all...at least for a bit.
[23:18] KuroiNekoDuo: Zach made a bit of a face. "Yea, same here... that class isn't bad, though. I've got a little history stuff too ... " He wandered about the room for a minute or two, peering at things in an interested sort of manner. "I have ice cream, though ... should probably stick that in the freezer if we're not gonna eat it right now."
[23:24] sephirosimmortal: "Yeah...here...I can take it and put it up." Rummaging, he found the ice cream, to stick it in the small freezer. Jaden was one of those people whose rooms were wondrously organized, save for the small piles of strategically placed mess that tended to accumulate. "And history isn't too bad, I can definitely help you with that." Wandering back, he snagged a bag of chips and plopped down on the floor amidst books and notes. "C'mon, let's get started so we can get to the fun part." He stated cheerfully, coming out of his shell now that it was just the two of them.
[23:26] KuroiNekoDuo: Zach laughed softly and nodded, moving to join the other. He plopped his backpack down and pulled out a couple of books, flipping them open to pages marked with scraps of paper. "I dunno if I'm at the same place you are in language or not... " he murmured, running a finger down the page. "Ah! Here, I'm on these questions."

[00:01] sephirosimmortal: Jaden leaned over to eye the paper, and tapped a couple of the questions, "I did these the other day...I can help you with them, if you need them. Having particular trouble with any of the concepts?" Language was most assuredly one of his favorite classes, and the tiny scholar was understandably eager about the topic.
[00:02] KuroiNekoDuo: "Uhmmn... " Zach hummed for a moment, pulling out some paper that he'd scribbled down his first thoughts before. This was the chapter on some of the more complicated grammar in Elven, so he'd figured Jaden would probably know something about it. "I think I have the first two... but if you wanna check 'em, that'd be awesome. This one though ... I'm not sure if it's in the right order," he murmured, tapping his translation notes.

[00:37] sephirosimmortal: Jaden grinned, "Ok...let's see." He eyed the work that the other had done, and after a moment, he nodded. "Yeah, you do have the first two, the only problem with the second one is the tense of this word..." He tapped the word in question. "it's not hard to fix. You just have to add an i here instead of an a. "
[00:38] KuroiNekoDuo: Zach blinked. "Oh! Man... yea, I see now. I feel stupid," he muttered - though it was good-natured. Taking a pen, he scribbled out the wrong letter and wrote an i above it. "There... now the next one... hrm." Tilting head, he wrote something, scribbled it out, and wrote something else. "It's almost the same... so I think I'm good now. Bet you're ahead of me, aren't you?" he asked, glancing up.
[00:51] sephirosimmortal: Jaden flushed faintly, "Uh...yeah...but it's my favorite subject...so..." Truth was, sometimes he didn't like being ahead of everyone else in a subject that wasn't necessarily the easiest...but it came naturally to him, and he didn't know how to stifle it in the slightest.
[00:53] KuroiNekoDuo: Zach smiled at that. "Nah, it's ok," he replied, reaching over to nudge the other a bit. "I don't mind if you're ahead... otherwise, how're you gonna give me all the answers?" He bent back over his paper, though, and finished up the last few questions rather quickly - now that he knew the trick of it. "What are you working now? Even if you're ahead, I bet I can catch up... or we can go to history, up to you." He shrugged, good-natured.
[01:00] sephirosimmortal: The smaller boy laughed, reaching over to poke the other in the ribs. "All right. Well...I think I'm fine. I'm in the next chapter, so the next round of assignments in language, but history I think we both need to work on, so we could always do that." This was a lot more fun with someone to help him along, otherwise, the evening would have dragged horrendously.
[01:02] KuroiNekoDuo: "Hey!" Zach wiggled at that poking, admittedly a bit ticklish there. Laughing softly, he nodded and shoved Language book and notebook over to one side. "All right then... history it is! Where are you in there?"
[01:30] sephirosimmortal: "Well...once we stopped looking into the effect the elven influence had on history...uhm...I guess I sort of fell behind." He seemed even more embarrassed by this, than being ahead in language. Pulling out his book, he poked dismally at the chapter he was on. Not even close to modern history...just wondrous.
[01:31] KuroiNekoDuo: Zach blinked, then smiled faintly and scooted over a bit closer to the other. "Gotta admit, it doesn't really seem interesting after the elves are gone, huh?" No surprise that Jaden wouldn't want to study anything else... the kid was like an encyclopedia on elves already. "There's still some high points, though. And elves are mentioned here and there ... you just have to look for them."
