 Alibi walked through the snow. The wind whipped around him as he lowered his head trying to shield himself from the harsh weather.
"Oh man.... this is going to be allot harder than I thought." he said as he dropped a few more inches in the snow. "But I cant give up... Safiya is counting on me to bring back something."
Safiya was his mate and she was waiting back at a cave for him. It had been a hard winter and food had been hard to find.

 Kai looked around at the snow absently. He was more frozen inside to notice the frigid degree surrounding him. Being alone for four years without any contact with life had drained him completely. He could barely put one foot in front of the other.
"Mmm......there must be somewhere to rest for awhile." He looked around, his eyes blurring.

Alibi continued on his way through the snow then stopped at the wind picked up.
"Mm... man... the wind in picking up again... may be I should find some place to hang out for the time being." he looked around then spotted a small cave in the distance. "At least until the storm passes." He trotted toward it.

Kai looked to the left, his eyesight nearly blinded by the howling wind.
"Tch......I can't keep walking around like this.....I need to find somewhere to sleep until i can feel my feet again."
Looking down he trotted off toward some form of shelter, his nose twitching slightly as he picked up a scent, "Mm....My luck could not be that bad...." he groaned.

Alibi continued toward shelter when he caught the sent of another modifox.
"Hm?" his head perked up and he looked around. "I smell another fox." he looked around, and through the howling wind and grueling snow he could just make out the color of green. "It is another fox." he squinted more as he took a few more steps closer. As he did he could tell something was wrong with it. "Uh-oh." he took off toward the fox.

Kai could barely make out the blurring image of something heading towards him. "Mm......great....I'm going to be eaten by a snow monster....." He moaned in pain before collapsing onto the snow.

 Safiya was curled up in the back of the cave in as small a ball as she could manage. She was absolutely freezing and was missing the comforting warmth of her mate, Alibi. 'Speaking of whom,' she thought to herself, lifting her head from her paws, 'he was taking far too long to look for food.'
Unable to just sit in the cave and worry, Safiya made her way into the cold, blustery weather. She kept to the shadows, her black and white patterned coat blending in with her surroundings. The wind and snow was trying to play havoc on her sense of smell, but she perservered and finally spotted her mate running off in the opposite direction and she went to follow him.

Alibi rant through the snow heading toward the collapsed modifox. He skidded to a stop in front of the fox. "Hey! Hey wake up!" He nudged the fox with his snout but he didn't move. "Aw man... not good, not good." He looked around franticly.

Kai felt numb, his entire body refused to move. Though still barely conscious there was nothing he could do to show the other fox that he was alive.

"Alibi!" Safiya called, finally catching up to him. "We have to get him back to the cave. He needs to warm up now." She moved to one side of the nearly unconsious modifox and began to lever him high enough to slip onto Alibi's back.

Alibi nodded. "Your right." He sat down so she could slide the fox onto his back. "He needs to warm up before he becomes a popsicle." he helped with trying to get the fox on his back.

Kai managed to peek and eye open and looked at the black and green fox that he was being placed on. "Mm....W...why are you....helping me....?" He mumbled.

Alibi looked back at him. "Because... you need help." he smiled. "We cant just leave you out here all alone, right Safiya?" he looked at her. "You will die if you stay out here in the cold." he shifted so the white and green fox was secure on his back.

"Mm...." Kai moaned in pain, "T....Thank you..." He collapsed into oblivion.

Alibi looked at Safiya. "Lets get him out of here." He turned and began walking off. "We can get him to are den and see what we can do about keeping him warm."
