Kredoe knows of Isiah's desire to some day see the sea for himself. Gathering information from the older mare Ydda that all rivers lead to the sea, the young filly set off to discover this large body of water before the stallion in question does.
Why?
Simply because she knows it will bother him and annoy him to no end. Much to Kree's delight. Of course, Kree can't help but get side-tracked along the way. Especially when she chances upon a stallion with quite the unique coloration. Well, unique as far as Kree was concerned.
She trots over to him, ears flicking as she drew closer. "Heya!" She greets before feigning innocence in her observation of "You're big!"

Bright day, sunny day - Ahoskie had spent the morning rolling in the cool dew-tipped grass and after several hours of chasing after squirrels, kicking his hooves up at birds and generally making a mess of himself, he finally began meandering towards the river for a bath.
He had finished his bath and was rubbing his itchy shoulder against one of the trees by the river-bank when a small filly's voice clipped out at him.
Ahoskie snorted and cocked his head at the small filly with the rust-colored mane. "Big?" It was almost comical the way he stepped away from the tree and started trying to get a better look at himself. He was big - but not too bright, really.
"Maybe you's just small?" His docked tail twitched uselessly - short tails weren't much good for fly-flicking!

"Nu uh!" Kredoe disagreed with a shake of her head, "My pop says I'm just right!" she declared with much enthusiasm.
She carefully studied the larger and older stallion, trying to assess if he was dangerous or not. He seemed friend, he did respond to her after all. At the flick of his tail, the filly couldn't help but wonder what had happened to render that part to such a state.
"Why's your tail not-big?" she stared at the aforementioned part. Openly.

Ahoskie ceased his attempts to eyeball himself by going in circles like a dog when Kredoe poked him about his docked tail. That got him standing with all four hooves planted firmly and his head cocked while he thought about it.
Why washis tail so short anyway?
Oh, oh yes...he remembered! "When I was you's size, got caught bad. Was stuck with no food, no waters for days. Two-legger found and had to cut tail past bone." Ahoskie couldn't remember the pain, but he knew it had hurt something fierce.
"Not grows since." Oh, he was a friendly sort - he wasn't likely to harm the filly...not on purpose anyway.

Kree was definitely confused at the strange behavior the stallion was displaying. Why, why was he doing that? Was this normal behavior? Even his manner of speech seemed odd. She was certainly intrigued.
When he explained how his tail ended up the way it was she let out a sympathetic gasp before her questions came in rapid-fire. "Two-legger cut your tail off? How'd it get caught? Where'd it get caught? How come no one but the two-legger came lookin' for you?"

The dirt-colored stallion quirked his head and pricked his ears at the filly's rapid-fire questions. Too fast! And she asked so much; at least he could get the gist of what she wanted to know - the details of why and how his tail had been docked. Too bad he couldn't remember exactly how it had happened - he had been very young with a pair of hungry Skinwalkers had stumbled upon his father's herd...very young when he'd run away. Hell, if his parents were alive, that was news to him!
"I's not remember so goods, but a demon comes into mine herd an' I's told to be runnings away, so thats what I does. Runs until can't breathings no mores." His tail twitched again. "Runs right into heavy burr-bushes, get's caught up bad until Two-legger came."
Ahoskie paused and dipped his head to crop at the grass as though toward off the pangs of remembered hunger and thirst. "Oh. I's not knowings yous named." They hadn't introduced themselves at all! "I's Ahoskie. Yous?"
