ooc|| Posting order: Me, Kyt, Pao?
"Zizi! Come oooooon! Slow Poke!"
Taku paused in his run, turning to see how far behind him his twin sister was. A cheeky, mischievous grin was mounted on his face, as per usual, and his chest was rising and falling as he gulped air into his lungs, a little breathless from all the running. Well, it was quite far from their den to here, but Taku had never been one to ignore rumors of a giant wildebeest being caught. And he did love his wildebeest.
"Zizi! We'll miss it!"
Seeing one of the twins without the other was quite a rare occurrence, and this wasn't one of them. Their mother said they should learn to be more independent, but then they rarely listened to their mother, except when she was telling stories that her mother had told her. A small growl of frustration escaped the cub's maw as he turned back to face the direction in which he was traveling, beginning at a slower pace than before. When his sister caught up, then he'd start running again.

"I'm not slow!" Amanzi hollered back at her brother, pushing her small legs to run faster than she could ever run. It was hard. And why were they running so much for a stupid wildebeest? They were all over the place. What was the big deal if the biggest one in the whole world had been caught?
This was stupid.
Her chest was heaving; she had never run so much and so far at one time. This wasn't fair. He knew that he was faster than her. He knew this!
And it was quite a run from their den; mother would never approve if she ever found out that they had wandered so much farther away than they should be. And that's exactly why not one word of this exploration would never reach their mother's ears.
"This is stupid!" she yelled aloud, finally about to catch up to Taku. He had slowed down a bit, and for that she was thankful. Maybe he had finally taken some pity on her, and he would slow down enough so that they could, maybe, just keep going towards the wildebeest walking. Walking was fun. It was still exercise, and it still got them to where ever they were going.

Of course, the one day that Ra'D bothered to actually get up early to look for Kai, she was nowhere to be found. No doubt on another 'adventure' with her brother...s. Or just the twin. It didn't really matter at this point, seeing as he wasn't with them anyway. With a grunt he kicked a rock that he happened upon and kept on walking. There was never anything to do around this place.
There wasn't anyone worth meeting either. That is, aside from Kai, Ka, and (very rarely) the annoying happy one.
"Worthless...all of them....this entire pride.." he muttered as he went, not noticing that there was a figure jogging on a path perpendicular to his. If he hadn't looked up and stopped he would probably have knocked right into the passing cub. Already upset with his day's luck, the juve couldn't keep himself from yelling.
"Hey, watch it you little twerp!" he growled, brows furrowed and anger very apparent in his golden eyes.

Takuma hadn't noticed the other pridelander, sulking as he walked. He'd flashed a sweet grin to his sister, content with a fast walking pace as she caught up, preparing to leap into a run again once she pulled up next to him. However, he was stopped by the other's angry growl, causing the cub to pause, forehead furrowing into a confused frown. Not for long, though.
"Who're you calling a twerp?! I'm not a twerp, you are!" bristled Taku angrily, teeth flashing in a growl as he looked up to Ra'D, from where he was crouching offensively on the ground. He honestly wasn't all that sure whether he'd been addressing Taku himself of his sister, but neither was acceptable in the fiery cub's eyes. The wildebeest was gone from his mind, which was now instead focused on Ra'D.

Amanzi trotted along behind her brother, head down to the ground, completely almost exhausted by the far distance they had just run. Good thing that Taku had decided to take a break. Otherwise it wouldn't be soon before she'd fall to the ground in exhaustion. And she'd definitely blame him for that.
But before she could rest, her head went up for some reason and she squinted to see a new figure next to her brother. And by the expression on Taku's face, he didn't like this stranger. With a sigh, she pushed her shaky legs to go faster, and she trotted up to the two of them.
She got close enough to hear Taku's shout of anger and she frowned at him.
"Taku! What's the problem?" she asked, eying the two of them. What in the world had happened in the span of ten seconds when she wasn't watching? Trust Taku to get into some kind of trouble.

A flash of rage passed through his fierce orbs when the cub spoke to him with the way he had. Not only was he smaller, but he didn't have the right to speak to that way. Ra was clearly older, bigger in size, more intelligent, and just overall better than this cub could ever hope to be (he somehow sized up the poor boy the moment he set eyes on him). So why, in his right mind, would he even try to retaliate? With a snort Ra dismissed the behavior for the time being and looked toward his companion - a twin.
Was he some sort of twin magnet? The juve rolled his eyes before resuming to glare daggers at the cub.
"I suppose you don't know your place just yet, do you, you little pest?" he asked the pink-marked cub before him, voice lowered to speaking volume to demonstrate the control he had over his emotions. Though...he was fairly sure that its evidence would pass these two by.

Zizi came up behind him and said something, but Taku wasn't really listening. His whole body seemed to burn with a strange, fiery anger, as if he were actually on fire. He wanted to jump on the cub and wrestle him to the ground and show that he was clearly better. He held himself back for the moment, however, although his fuse had already snapped. Taku was the type to get angry easily.
"Yeah, I know my place! It's above yours!" snapped the cub, quite pleased of his comeback. It was much wittier and smarter than he usually came up with.

Amanzi glanced between the two of them, not too keen to put herself in the middle of an argument between her brother (who was a good bit bigger than her, even though they were twins) and an older cub. It wouldn't be a smart idea, anyway. Though when did cubs ever really make smart decisions?
She hesitantly stepped between them, shoving Taku back a bit farther away from the stranger. She looked at both when she spoke.
"Look, I don't know what your problem is," she told them both, looking straight into their gaze, "but you need to calm down. It can't be that important that you have to fight about it." There goes Zi, the ever-calm, cooling presence for her brother. He sure was lucky to have her.

Ra almost laughed at the boy's statement...almost. He opted to keep a stoic expression on his face, though one could still see the anger in his eyes if one looked close enough. He glanced at the voice of reason for a moment, brow raised for a second before as if to mock her words. Did she really think that was all it took to get him to back off? Hah! And his attention went back to Taku.
"Above mine?" he asked, looking almost amused at what he said. "Above mine? You still have to look up when you're talking to me, junior, and I'm sitting and you're already standing." At this point Ra placed his paw on the cub's head and pushed down a bit hard, but not enough to plow his face into the ground.
"Best give your elders some respect, don't you think?" he asked, a smirk on his maw. "I mean, I'm older, bigger, smarter, and..." he paused and laughed a little. "Well, let's face it. I'm a lot better looking too. So where does that put you?" He put a bit more pressure on his head, waiting for the answer he wanted to hear.

"Hey!" was the initial outburst that came from Takuma as his sister shoved him away a little, before he realized that it was Zizi who had pushed him and not the jerk, as he'd originally thought. He stood where he'd been pushed, watching his sister carefully, although with a bit of an edge, almost as if he were trying to look through her at Ra'D behind her. He listened to his sister, even beginning to calm down a little.
Well. At least until Ra'D spoke again. And pushed down on his head.
"HEY!" roared the cub, teeth angrily snapping at the other's paws, hoping to crunch down. Hard. Older? Maybe. Bigger? Maybe. But smarter and better-looking? No chance.
"I bet I'm TEN times smarter than you!" mumbled the cub, through the mouthful of paw he currently held.

Although she hated being ignored, the situation's outcome really wasn't all dependent on her. So she couldn't help it if stubborn, stupid males wouldn't listen to her when she knew she was right.
She gasped when the older cub pushed his paw onto her brother's head, hard. Amanzi's eyes whirled up to his face and glared at him, seething inside. She was the only one allowed to push her brother around like that. Only her. No one else. So this was a considerable step over that line. And she wasn't going to take it.
So instead of backing down and letting them fight, or even trying again to make them not fight (seeing as it was too late anyway; Taku had moved first), she joined them.
"Get your slimy paws off him!" she growled, stepping forward quickly and latching her teeth onto the outstretched leg. She knew the double pain from the sharp teeth in his paw to her grip on his leg would make him withdraw; and she wasn't even biting down hard. Only the real tips were in the fur, not even breaking the skin. But her grip was tight.

Ra smirked at what the little male said, though his brows furrowed angrily when he bit down on his paw. He whacked him off easily, not even flinching as he was used to such pain - it's why he had younger brothers and sisters for. They helped toughen him up when it came down to it, even though he'd never admit that out loud. What he hadn't expected, though, was the girl to act up and bite down on his paw also. The juve growled angrily and glared daggers at the little cub now attached to him.
"Let....go!" he growled, then with quiet a bit of effort swung her (still attached to his paw, of course) at her equally annoying brother, hoping that he'd managed to hit him.
(( Forgive me for the short entry. o_o; Wasn't sure how I could make a long-ish response without god-moding.. ))

Taku yelped rather loudly as he was whacked away from the elder cub, tumbling backwards with a low, rumbling growl in his throat. Hey, he couldn't hit him back like that! And that had hurt! Taku dived back forwards, but faltered as he noticed that his sister had also joined in the brawl, sinking her teeth into Ra'D's leg. At first he felt pride swell in him, proud that his sister was willing to do that for him. But then fear replaced that as she came flying right towards him, first instinct being to jump out of the way.
He began to, before faltering. If he jumped out of the way, Zizi would get hurt more! His indecision lead to the female indeed crashing into him, a strangled whine escaping the male's maw as he fell to the ground, his sister most likely on top of him. He lay flat on the ground, breathing heavily as he clamped his eyes shut, whines replaced by growls of both anger and mild pain. That had HURT!

Amanzi yelped as well, as her teeth were suddenly free from the stranger's leg and fur and she went flying. From the corner of her eye, she could see Taku standing there, seemingly about to run away and let her land on the ground behind him (she wouldn't blame him if he did; she would do the same thing). But instead he stayed still and let her slam into him.
The two went tumbling, ending up with her on top, her back to his back, and Taku was completely flattened on the ground with a grimace on his face.
"Sorry," she grumbled to her brother, rolling off and standing for a moment to collect her bearings.

The juve grinned triumphantly at the two that were sprawled on the ground in front of him. He waited until they were standing before puffing up his chest a little bit to make himself look bigger, more...victorious, or proud...he couldn't put the proper word to it, but whatever the word it shed a very positive light on him. Ra turned, turning his head only slightly so he could see the two from the corner of his eye.
"You guys are pathetic.." he said coldly, then started walking off.
They were wasting his time, and what he could be spending sunbathing or training with the twins, these two were taking up. If he stayed, he'd probably just be wasting even more of what little time he had left for the day outside of the den. His dad would come looking for him soon, and he wanted to get some fun in with Ka and Kai before he had to suffer through another lecture from him father.
