The city lights danced across her face,
A mirage of blue and black stripes
Swimming over her eyes, lips and cheeks
As if shes under water.

The voices echoed in her mind,
As a full moon escaped
A velvet canvas of clouds
Only to send a sheer light upon her face.

Vampire..."

Seconds latter, only the faint sound
Of her breath echoed in the shadows
As she hid, perfectly still in the alley way
