Plenty of people have playlists on their profiles but I'm thinking of putting one up here on the guild's home page. It's part of an initiative to make the Lovelies less of a disembodied, purely internet message board and make it feel more like an actual real-world place. If you aren't following yet, think of how some RP threads (and sometime even guilds) are set up in a pseudo-medieval tavern and inn. Let me clarify. First of all, the feel of the guild would be modern and metropolitan, if anything. It would have the feeling of a meeting place where the free exchange of ideas is encouraged. Secondly, the Lovelies wouldn't really be "set" anywhere. The types of conversations will not change, nor will the way we communicate in any way. Everything will be the same, except a sort of ambiance or feel that the guild has. More accurately the only thing that will really be any different is the look of the home page. It may have doors, it may have a room interior...I haven't decided yet but as it stands right now I plan to leave the guild banner up but it may no longer take center stage...But presently lets stick to the playlist, because that's the first thing I want to address. I want to hear what you would like on the playlist but before I even take any suggestions, I would like to make a few notes about what I want. The first thing you should know is that I want the feel to be similar to that of what you might hear in a department store or other establishment that plays music. It should have the feel of background music in that it is relatively mellow and unintrusive but no where near the level of easy-listening music...Just nothing too metal or thrashy. Secondly, no emo. That would severely compromise the look and feel that I want this guild to have. We are anti-emo. For those who may be offended, this does not include you. No one that I imagine to be reading this classifies under my definition of being emo. I would be happy to explain what exactly emo is to me. In the meantime I will not have it being on the guild homepage. That said, unless you break the ToS or find some way of upsetting me that I haven't accounted for yet, I want to hear your suggestions. Honestly, if one of you choses a song that I really don't like, it very likely won't make the playlist but most (if not all) of what you pick (again, should it meet the criteria) should make it to the playlist. That leaves me with a few questions for you. Do you like the new idea? What would you like to see in the playlist? Do you know exactly where I would need to go to get one of the little black playlists that so many users seem to have in their profile?

Hm... House, Funk and Jazz strikes me. If it's background noise, then definitely those three genres. Because my normal music would NOT fit in, so I propose something that I use as background noise when writing. At the moment for background noise I'm liking Pink Floyd. But yeah.

I should have been more specific. What it is that I am looking for is a list of what you would move to put on the playlist, in order of what it is that you would like to see. If you don't have a list a general idea is fine, but I can't promise that your suggestions will be as readily taken into consideration when the playlist is being assembled.

I think this is a good idea ^_^ The genres that I listen to that could be played on here would be Rock and Alternative. I don't actually know where to get the playlists from as I don't ever use them, sorry sad

Huh...I'm not sure if I can be much help with this one. Any music that's played will probably be nice to listen to, but I have nothing really to suggest...the only thing I listen to that's really even close to background music is a list of video game theme songs...

Well, there's the Tetris theme, which is quite fun to listen to...any of the Zelda songs available on YouTube, a particular favourite of mine is the Song of Storms...Mario theme songs...anything, really.

I agree with Torzeh. I have no idea what music to suggest, but I like the one's she suggested.

Jess Strife I love Torzeh's idea. I like the Zelda theme songs and well game theme songs in general sounds good to me. For some reason, the Zora Domain theme seems to fit in well with the Guild, to me. ^_^
