Seeing as how the politics subforum is all about national politics,
it didnt feel right posting in there.
Doesnt it seem that Dino and Christine are having quite the
commercail wars?
Its getting a tad annoying if ya ask me.

I'm voting for Dino. I'm really tired of the high taxes and another annoying things that Gregoire has introduced, but mostly I just really hate the fact that she essentially cheated her way into office. I will not vote for someone who thinks they know better than the voters. neutral

Dino Rossi, for sure. That bimbo cheated last time. I don't want to be voting for someone who dead people, illegals and criminals also support.... if you catch my drift.
Although I didn't like how he didn't come speak to us in person at the repub. convention... : / He used satellite.

I saw on the news that "people dont want seattle to take control of this
election again", but I never met one person in Seattle who has ever been
for Gregoire....
But she does have something in common with Seattle... That is a lust for
being money hungary...

But she does have something in common with Seattle... That is a lust for
being money hungary... Over 500k people in King County voted for her, that is why you hear in the news about so many Republicans talking about Seattle 'stealing' elections & such. There also was never any proof that Gregoire had anything to do with any illegal votes, or that any of the questionable votes helped her. If I remember right, the votes that were invalidated were all for Rossi. I am a conservative, generally I vote for the Republican candidate, but I will once again not vote for Rossi. I can't stand Gregoire, but Rossi is just too shifty. The whole "Prefers GOP" deal is just more of the same from him. At least I know what to expect from Christine...

The reason people say that Seattle steals all of the votes really is just way our state is laid out. The coastal area, west of the cascades, is much like most coastal places in the us. More imports and exports, a more mixed group of people, and more people from origionaly outside of the country. Like every other major coastal area in the US, this area falls under the "liberal" side of things and will most likely vote democrat. The other side of the Cascades, the rural farmlard and non coastal cities, much like the rest of the Mid US will likely vote republican, because they lean more to the conservative side.
Now, the dispairity here is that there are a hell-of-a-lot more people here on the west side of the mountain. Logistically speaking, just counting Snohomish, King, and Thurston counties alone, we have more voting power then the entire eastern side.
If any of you are old enough to remember the talks we had in the late 90's about splitting into two different states? We would still be washington, but the east of the cascades was going to be called "Lincoln."
If I'm not mistaken "Almost Live", a local comedy show that used to feature bill nye had some hillarious sketches based on this.
