BS. I think as of late bands have gotten somewhat lazy. The album covers Metal bands put out in the '90's were great. Now they seem to be lacking something.

idk about the 90s, but 70s/80s album covers ruled all. i know you dont like iron maiden, but dont you wish bands would put that level of artwork on their albums once again?

I like the album artwork for a few new albums.

In The Arms of Devastation - Kataklysm... that one looks cool, at least I think so.

Alright alright most people love Cannibal Corpse's album covers for some reason. XD

Yeah the old Iron maiden covers were kick a**. Like Piece of Mind.

Blind Guardian's Battalions of Fear. There album cover are pretty shweet. smile

All of Death one's are kick a**!!

Helloween's ones have started to suck during the Kiske era. sad

Kamelot's ones are still great. Though I hate their music.

actually the sound of perseverance cover is kinda boring...

come to think of it, after the hippie era, album covers started going downhill. hendrix, cream, iron butterfly, etc all had great album covers. then there were some cool metal and punk album covers in the 70s, fewer good ones in the 80s, maybe one or two in the 90s... and now, none that i can think of as being particularly spectacular.

It really isn't the cover we buy the albums for it's the songs. smile

I mean, I have always lied Tyr's album covers AND cd artwork. A band that put out an amazing CD cover is Embraze. However, as a whole CD coveres havent been so great. Death and Iron Maiden's coveres were always interesting but bands nowadays have been falling short- for the mots part.

I liked the art on Alestorms CD better then the insert or back.
