So, everyone has that one interesting, weird, and possibly-slightly-insane family member or friend that does some pretty crazy things. In this thread, feel free to share stories about family members or friends! Hilarious, interesting, strange, sad, whatever-- tell your stories here.

I'll start off with a few.

This first one is about my oldest brother, Jason. He loves programming and computers, so he made a bunch of programs on his calculator. He had some really good games that he made himself, and, understandably, he was pretty goddamn proud of his programs. When he went to take his SATs, the teacher/professor/procter/whatever-you-call-it, of course, instructed all students to clear all the data from their calculators.
Jason refused to do that, since he didn't want to lose all his hard work. SO, he was forced to take his math SATs without a calculator.
And guess what? He still got an awesomely high score. biggrin

Story number two is about my maternal grandfather.
My grandfather is SUCH an amazingly eccentric person. I could have my family tell me stories about him all day; they're so entertaining. One that sticks in my head is: a loooong long time ago, when my mom and her three siblings were still young schoolchildren, the family went to a restaurant. My grandpa ordered a hamburger, but when the waiter brought it out, he complained that it was too well-done, and sent it back. When the waiter brought out a new hamburger, he complained that once again, it was cooked for too long. This went on for a while until my grandfather, who was rather pissed (though I'm sure the waiter and cook were more pissed), stormed into the kitchen, pushed the cook aside, and said "THIS is how you cook a hamburger!" xDD He threw a patty on the grill, flipped it over, flipped it again, and then took it off and ate it. The cook and waiter were stunned. xDD
Somehow that's hilarious today. In this day and age, NO ONE would be allowed to do that.

Okay, one more story before I have to eat something, because even though it's 10:14 pm I haven't had a decent meal today.

This one is about my Uncle Chris and Aunt Jenny. Let's call them UC and AJ, to make this a bit easier. xd
Again, this was a looong long time ago. UC and AJ were newly married, and they had some odd ritual with a huge pink-and-purple stuffed bear. One of them got it for a birthday gift (or maybe it was a wedding gift, I'm not positive), and they named it Pookiebear. Somehow they started this ritual of finding odd ways to give it to the other ( by that, I mean UC would give it to AJ, and the other way around, over and over, in increasingly bizarre ways). They kept trying to throw Pookiebear out, but the other would retrieve it and find some way to sneak it back in. One time, when AJ was at work, UC went in her car and moved it to a different parking space. He put Pookiebear in the driver's seat and left, making it seem like Pookiebear moved the car. xD
To best UC, AJ came up with an idea that, like with my grandpa's story, would not work in this day and age with all the paranoid people. AJ put Pookiebear in a package and labeled the sender address as some remote town in Alaska. She wrote a note on it for the mailman, asking him to take it to the post office so they could stamp it and such, and then to return it to their home address.
A few days later, UC was overjoyed and very curious about his package from Alaska. He couldn't imagine WHO in Alaska would mail him something. He opened the package, and THERE WAS POOKIEBEAR.

...Okay, I swear it sounds funnier when my mom tells it to me.

So, there was storytime with Old Lady Shia (not sure if I qualify as 'Old', being the second-youngest in the guild).
Now you all share!
And if you don't, I'll probably post several more times with more stories of mine, and I will be forced to rename this thread "Shia's Stories".

The day after Robot Chicken premiered, my friends and I banged on the table at lunch yelling "Dar-kest sketch! Dar-kest sketch!" We also did a bunch of collab drawings together, one of an evil giant muffin with bunny ears destroying a city, and another of everyone's interpretation of the Kirby anti-hero Meta Knight. Fun times.
