Peaches watched the winter fade into spring and finally summer. She wanted to help the others rebuild the lost teepee but merely watched and fetched things she saw the needed. Even the flutters were bustling with chores as they flew this way and then helping to remake what was lost.
The little usdia only spoke good hearted encouragement and the others accepted it with welcome nickers and whinnies. But still she desired something else that just wasn't there. While Sweetstuff a soquili much like herself was very much a friend, Peaches missed another.
Day after day she pondered her meeting with a certain other usdia remembering the fun they shared. This certain little stallion had captured her attention and made her see that being small was beautiful. So she decided in those months that passed by with the seasons it was time to frolic once more on her own. Slipping out with no one's knowledge she set out on a new adventure.
Before she traveled out she nudged the Indian girl to place little yellow flowers throughout her mane and tail. The little dandelions were a perfect reminder to her of that day. Trotting in her stride she stretched out across the land to find that meadow where they first met.
"I wonder if he'll be there... Ahote" she mused with little hop steps as she moved into the area they once played in. The grass was very tall so perhaps he might be hiding among the long strands. Giggling she peeked her head in to check to see if he might be hiding there.
"Ahote, you there?" she asked with a tilt of her head. When no reply came back she moved on further in the long emerald fingers as they brushed off her coat. It was so quiet and yet the breeze of autumn lifted her senses to be positive. So each nestled hideaway, every clump of grass, even the big rocks she searched hoping he was hiding somewhere.
"Ahote?" blinking she heard a rustle in the grass and turned around quickly with lighted eyes of cerulean blue. If he was sneaking up on her she'd be ready for him giggling as she waited for him to emerge.

Ahote was standing by the edge of a small lake that laid at the edge of the meadow that he had once played in with an Usdia named Peaches. He had been thinking of her a lot lately, and hoped that he would meet her again sometime soon. They had had such a fun time together, but he had yet to meet her again.
He bent down to nibble on some of the lush green grass that grew around the lake. It was always the best by the water. So fresh and crisp. After he had had his fill, he moved to the very edge of the water and lowered his head so that he could take a drink. Lifting his head, he turned away from the water and looked out over the expanse of the meadow.
Perhaps he would be able to find Peaches if he went into the meadow. She would probably be looking for him around there, since that is where they last met. He smiled and set off into the tall grass, trotting happily, his tail swishing behind him.

Still no answer as Peaches searched the long blades that tickled her sides. Frogs croaked here and there with the occasional lyrical note of a cricket as she caught the sound in her ears. Such a lively little place this was with all the inhabitants stringing along an orchestra within the hidden darkness from the sun. She mused quite happily blowing outward as a cricket descended and sat upon her muzzle.
Scrunching her face she nearly went cross eyed trying to stare at the little insect that still weaved a high pitched melody amongst her nose. She was about to greet her little companion when the sound of something, someone caught her ears. Whatever, whomever it was they were getting closer.
Shaking her head to the little musician she blew out softly, "I'm sorry I can't play with you right now. Someone is coming."
Blinking she hunkered down nervously and waited though she was thinking of pouncing whomever it was almost to where she was hiding. If it was Ahote she'd be so happy, but if it were something else...
No. She knew it wasn't one of those monsters. The movement was way too much like her own as it neared even closer. Tenseness filled her limbs and withers wondering who was coming.
"Please be Ahote.... not a monster..." she whispered with a deep swallow in her throat ready to ambush the mysterious stranger.

Ahote continued his trot through the meadow. The soft sounds of evening surrounded him and a cool breeze rustled the grass. He looked to the west and saw the colours that signaled the setting of the sun. Soon it would be night, but he didn't mind. He rather enjoyed exploring at night time. There were all different kinds of creatures out at night that weren't there during the day.
Bring his mind back to Peaches, he looked around some more, hoping to spot the outline of another little pony in the meadow. He really hoped that he would be able to find her tonight. He had wanted to see her for so long.
