For this class, Peri had written 'tail lash', 'constriction', and 'hypersensitive eyesight'. The man was ready for the feathered version of dragon that was to be attending this class. Strange, but yet some of those new dragons were looking to be even stranger and it appeared that the amphitere would not be the only feathered dragon any longer.

((CRUD!!! I'm SO SORRY, I just saw this!))
Emi pushed herself into the classroom slowly, her eyes wide behind the slight waves of her bangs. She was squirming just a bit, arms wrapped tight around herself with curled fingers around her elbows. It felt safer that way, although it made the sharp angles of her shoulders and collarbones stick out more. She was in a soft blue dress, fluttering and gentle, and it matched her dragon splendidly. Odette followed her, a flash of feathers and colors, her mouth parted into a cheerful chirrup.
The world was still new to her. Pretty.
Emi peeked at the teacher as the door swung close behind her. "H-Hello, teacher."

"Hello." He grinned and gestured for the two to take a seat on one of the cushions. "To start off the class, do you have any questions about your dragon?"

Odette was there in an instant, with her little swan trailing after her slowly. She was chewing gently at her lower lip as her dragon curled up on the cushion.
"I'm Emi," She said, eyes flickering to Perilas and then to Odette. Then back. "This is Odette. Ah - questions?"
Before Emi went further, she sat down just a bit awkwardly, shifting and resetting her wings a little to get comfortable. "On your board it.. it says that she has hypersensitive eyesight. Like a cat? Or will too bright light hurt them?"

"Mr. Coleman." Peri grinned and nodded greetings to both.
"Hmm, well many say that it means they can see in ultraviolet or infrared spectrum, though that's not really ever been proven. It's more like hawk eyes. They can spot enemies and prey from great distances. They may be able to see in the dark similar to a cat. However, what of that is actually true can only be guessed. Many people like to make up things." He grinned and gave a shrug. "Dragonology is often just sifting through a load of information and determining if it is fact or fiction..."

"Now that we have them here, with us, isn't it easier to study them? I heard somewhere that older dragons could.. talk.." She paused at that for a second, as if she was double-thinking on what she had just said, before giving Peri a small smile. "But I suppose most of the ones we know are babies.
"So - ah - Odette is like a hawk with no legs? What's ultraviolet?" Emi blinked at him, eyes scooting back towards the chalkboard. "A snake with a hawk with no legs. A tail lash?"

"Exactly." Peri nodded. "While we had some adult dragons around, they were still wild, even if they did agree to work with us. For a time, anyways. But these have all bonded with you and your classmates so we're hoping to learn even more. Especially when they start to speak English as they grow older."
He chuckled. "Pretty much, yes. Ultraviolet is... something we can't see ourselves. It's a form of radiation, or something like that." Peri shrugged. He wasn't much into science, really. "The sun emits a lot of it, I know that."
"Ah, yes. Tail lash. One of the amphitere's attacks. They use their tail like a whip."

"Odette will learn to speak English?" Emi almost glowed at the though, and crouched down to stroke at her dragons feathers. Odette crooned, leaned into the caress, and she peered at Peri with the contentment of a pleased child. "I'd like that. She can tell me what she wants pretty easily but-"
She cut herself off. It'd be good to have someone to talk to, when Odette could talk. Dagger wouldn't listen and she wasn't sure if Rakha would want to. The other kids - augh, Teeu. She'd talk to Tyven but after that kiss... she felt a little awkward. Keivlos liked her, but didn't like being around her.
"I don't think Odette is the fighting type. But... but that's good to know. I - uhm. I don't know what else to.. to ask. Maybe.. maybe.. How big will she get?"

Peri smiled and nodded. "All of the dragons will, or at least should, learn English eventually. Some will just learn faster than others." He nodded, then answered her other question. "They get to be about 45 feet long as adults. But they don't get very tall, since they're snake-like."
"Well, unless you have more questions, that should be about it..."
