It was that usual day - hardly a cloud in sight, the sun beating down on the earth as it hung at it's highest point in the sky. Tana, though being the energetic juve that she was, had been lulled to sleep not too long ago in the shade nearby her family's den. Some rustling by her ear woke the lioness, and with a rather large yawn she rubbed at her eyes to keep from going back to sleep. As she did so she glanced down to see a mouse scurrying past her figure. She slurred some sort of complaint under her breath before getting on her feet and beginning to walk.
Tana unconsciously walked toward her mother's spot, ruby red eyes wandering here and there and taking in the sights of the Pridelands. Mostly lions doing this and that, minding their business. She didn't recognize too many of them...not that she went out too often to begin with. And with all the energy she had you'd think she made lots of friends...but that wasn't so. She mostly mingled with her brothers and sisters, and on the occasion wandered off on her own to chase a small creature down. She didn't mind it at all, though. In most cases, in fact, she preferred it.
Tana made her way along the path quickly, and not long after she started on the stone walkway she noticed her mother's striking white pelt in the distance. A wide smile made its way across her maw and she broke into an all-out sprint toward Tai. Naturally, because she's not paying much attention, she trips over a small stone and goes tumbling into her mother's side.
The gold-pelted juvie rolls out of her current position, and with a laugh says, "Hi mom!"
