When I first really got into lolita, I rushed to my local fabric store, bought about 4 yards of flowery fabric and began sewing aimlessly. Now, almost 2 years later, I dug up that unfinished project and began to realize it could be saved!

I didn't do much... it took a good 2 weeks of on and off hand sewing just to get the basic skirt done... and that's all I have =[

(Ignore the mess in my room. I'm in the middle of completely rearranging my furniture &getting new ones)

And like I said, i bought a LOT of fabric (I should go an measure it but I'm too lazy at the moment) so I could do ANYTHING to improve this. I just need some suggestions and tutorials, perhaps, since I'm a newbie.

I don't want it to be too simple... nor extra frilly. Just something that I could wear casually with ease. Also... any future coordinate suggestions would be helpful, too! I hope I'm not asking for way too much o__o

Thanks in advance<3

I think since the fabric has such a busy pattern, it's best to stick with classical influences here and very simple, simple lines. I'd recommend a wide ruffle [or maybe even a double ruffle with braid trim on the seam, ooooh] for the hem to spice it up a little. It also might be nice to add some waist ties for an accent in the back, or a bow broach that you could wear on the waistband anywhere.
