Which instrument (other than Guitar, Bass, and Drums) do you like the best with metal? Which ones enhance mood the best? Which ones make you laugh?
I am personally especially fond of the organ.
And I get a real kick out of the accordian in Monolithe II.

I like organs... or rather I like the organ playing in Jacula, a non-metal band.

other instruments sound weird in most metal. although i think a bass synthesizer used as if it was a normal organ might sound cool, but idk...

I'm a big fan of Metal with synthesizers, the electronic feel just makes it seem complete.
I'd really like to hear a Metal band use the spoons...

I'm partial to string instruments of any kind. The violin, cello, mandolin, and piano (if you consider that a string instrument) in particular. Also, judicious use of keyboards adds a lot to the atmosphere and melody.

I like the organ use in Ordruin's material.
I've liked some of the ones used in some folk metal, but I don't know what they all were.

Pretty much any folk instrument lulz. But my favourite ones are Irish flute, gaita/bag pipes, fiddle and Accordion. I am also like the sound of pianos in slower songs

Flute gives good melodic elemental arrangements to music. Transversal flute it is. And not precisely turn the band into a folk band.
