((Assuming this is after Forte and Jaden make up. If not, tell me and I shall edit 8D))  Jaden sighed in content. He was resting by a river and smiling at his reflection. What happened with Lunar after the sunset was forgotten for the time being. It was nice to have Forte back as a friend. Even though he was still jealous and missed her, it didn't hurt as much. He got up and stretched, lapping up some water before running for a while. He ran for fun now. He stopped at a field and rolled around in the grass to mask his scent. He smiled playfully, imagining sneaking up on Forte when she least expected....

 Lunar slumped through the woods. She felt heavy and angry... She couldn't believe that she left that happen, and with a almost complete stranger!... was she that hurt by Jaden's reject, the minute she found compassion in another she just lost all her morals? She had no idea what she wanted.. but Hotah just left her the minute she told him she was pregnant... Any day now they will be here. Her first notion was to go back to Jaden... But what was the point? He was pining for another.. not her. She messed that one up already... She reached the field, and she looked at the flowers... All she could think of was that evening with him, when he gave her the flowers... She was overcome with sadness.

He got up immediately when he saw a dark figure coming. Embarrassed that maybe a stranger might have seen him acting silly like that, he lowered his head and started to slink off until he saw the figure more clearly. It was Lunar! He was shocked. It had been a while since he last saw her. He was hurt that she had left him but he figured he deserved it since he had decided to go for two females instead of just one. He sulked but he knew he owed her an apology so he walked over to her. "Hey Lunar." he started. "I'm really sorry about before, and I know you have every right to hate me but I hope you can forgive me...." he then noticed the depressed aura about her and stopped short. Was it because of him? He pawed at the ground uncertainly and thats when he noticed her stomach. "Um... Lunar, have you been eating well?" he mentally smacked himself immediatly after the words had left his mouth. Weren't you supposed to ask that only when the one you were talking to was thin? And some females were very sensitive about their weight.... He shuffled nervously, regretting the words. The situation was already worse and she hadn't even spoken yet!

Lunar looked up at him. She hadn't expected to ever run into him again... well she hoped but ... not now! She had no idea what to say, her heart skipped a beat and started to go faster. She was happy... Regardless. "I.. uh.. Well.." She stumbled over her words. She had no idea what to say to him... Then he made a comment.. it was more noticeable then she had thought. She sighed a little and took in a breath. "... I'm pregnant.." She mumbled softly. She wasn't all that sure how he would take it. Maybe by some miracle he'd realize that he cared about her... But it was unlikely.
"Of all the stupid things I did... I let you get away. I didn't visit enough.. you found someone else.. and it ... it broke my heart... and so i left that night with the intention of never seeing you again... and then I met this other wolf.. and we talked and bickered, and I don't know... he was all white, and I just missed you... and then suddenly I was pregnant.. he didn't want to settle down and raise a family..." She blurted it all out... Everything was on the line night. "I fell in love with you that first day... I don't want to live another day with out you."

He was worried by her silence. Was she really that mad at him? His ears perked up when she started speaking. Maybe she would say she forgave him, and they could be together again? Then she said "I'm pregnant." His eyes widened, and he gasped, disbelieving. It took a while for him to register this new piece of information, as it was the very last thing on his mind. He looked at her, at her stomach, and back to her face. She was telling the truth. He listened intently to her next words, and was confused by some parts of them. She loved him? He didn't think it could be true, not after what he'd done, but she sounded sincere. He waited until she was finished, before growling, "Who was he? Who did this to you?!" of course he minded that she had pups with another male, but what angered him most was that someone would do this to her, and not even take responsibility. He softened his expression soon, not wanting to scare her, and hesitated before walking closer and resting his head against her shoulder. "It's alright. It... it broke my heart, too, when you left." he whispered. "If you'll forgive me, I'd like to stay with you, too Lunar. Just you. It doesn't matter what happened before, we can start over." He backed away and looked up hopefully at her eyes.

Lunar blinked at him. He was doing the manly thing, saying he's stay with her. "And its really not his fault..." Which was true, its not like he did something bad. She wanted to be close to someone, but... wasn't expecting this, so she understood Hotah wanting to not be a father. She wasn't all that ready to be a mother. She didn't want to tie him down like this.. she couldn't forgive herself... "I forgive you, but... I don't feel right about suddenly tieing you down like this... i mean... its alot, to try and foster a relationship that might not last and with pups involved..." She whimpered at him a little and she leaned against him some.

His body curved against hers when she leaned against him. It was a reflex, something his body was used to. The fur along his spine bristled when she mentioned the other male and he nuzzled closer to her, not mentioning the fact that she hadn't given him the other's name. She was so kind and he had missed that. He wrapped his tail around her comfortingly, glad that she forgave him, and said, "It's alright. It's something I chose. I want to make it ok between us. We can do it together." He buried his face in her fur, breathing in her scent. He would prove to her that he could be better. He wouldn't lose someone else, not again.

Lunar murred at him softly. The guilt still ate away at her, but she was only able to let him do and do what he wanted. She felt a bit tired, to tired to do fight with him about it. She took in a breath and looked over at him. She had no idea if Hotah would come back, or want any of the pups, thats what was making this a dangerous situation... But Jaden was an Alpha, and she a beta. she was lucky to have him, wanting to be with her. Even if she thought it was for the wrong reasons. "I'm kind of hungry..." She said finally, realizing the truth of that statement.

He was content to stay there with her forever, with the flowers all around them and her body next to his. Then reality came and he laughed at her sudden comment. They were over the hardest part he hoped and he nudged her side with a hint of his old playfulness. "I'll go get you something." he told her before bounding off. Luckily, he had a young doe a while ago and he didn't need to eat for a few more days. He quickly caught a rabbit and trotted back to her, grabbing a few chuncks of bushes with berries along the way. He must've looked silly, walking around with leaves and a rabbit in his mouth, but he didn't mind and he deposited them at Lunars feet when he got back, feeling pleased. He'd done something right.

Before she could protest he was gone. It was probably better that way. Since she was on the heavier side, and hunting wouldn't be to good for her. She snuffed around at the flowers, before she laid down. She had alot of thinking that needed ot be done.. but it was weird in a matter of a week, she suddenly had a family. It was kind of weird, like an instant family... But it was as she thought that, that Jaden had some back with rabbit and berries. She smiled at him and giggled a little. "Thank you~" She looked up at him, and then she bit into the rabbit...
When she finished eating, she felt full, which was a good thing considering. "So... if we're going to be really doing this... We'll have to find somewhere to live, thats well protected for the pups..."

He wagged his tail, pleased that he was able to help her in some way. "Yea," he agreed. It was then that the reality of what was happening really hit him. He was going to help Lunar raise someone else's pups. He mulled it over in his mind and then shook his head. It didn't matter. It was what he chose. He would help Lunar as much as he could. He listed possible options in his mind, places where pups would be safe, and then asked, "Anywhere you have in mind?" He should probably ask for her opinion first before telling her his own.

Licking her muzzle Lunar feel silent in thought. Where... Somewhere that had food and water access... She blinked up at him, staring into his eyes... "The Lagoon.. where I took you swimming." She tilted her head, ear flicking wondering if he'd like that area. It was very pretty, and it was secluded. " I think that.. it would be good. I mean.. I think we're looking at.. a .. pretty large litter." She up at him and sighed some, before she looked down at her belly. Her tail thumped thoughtfully on the ground.
"Jaden..." She cleared her throat. "I want you to understand... The pups will actually look kind of like you, i think minute your red... so its very plasuable to play it off... But their real father.. I can't guarantee that he won't show up.. or anything like that."

"Just what I was thinking." he nodded and smiled. There would be trees nearby for cover and protection from the elements. "We'll have to make a den somewhere nearby, too." he said thoughfully. He blinked. How many pups would she have? Her next words took him by surprise. He hadn't though of that yet. "Should we... should we tell them?" he asked. Of course he could play it out, tell them he was their father and joke about their lack of red but... they would have to learn the truth sometime....

She nodded at him. She hadn't learned how to make a den or anything yet. she started to feel just how unprepared she was... She blinked at him and thought for a minute. "Maybe when they're adolescents? When they are able to take care of themselves. Because... as pup I don't see them understanding.." Her ears twitched listening to the birds around them. "This is going to be tough, and take alot of time and energy... it'll even be rough on.. whatever this is we're starting.."

"Yes, we'll tell them when they're ready." he paused, and then asked, "But what if... what if their real father comes back?" He didn't really want to talk about the male but they would have to be prepared. He was already going through ideas in his mind for where the den could be. They could dig one up, use an abandoned one, perhaps a cave or underneath an overturned tree? Because they were so close to the water, food wouldn't be that much of a problem but they would have to somehow keep the pups from wandering too close-- his thoughts were cut off as she spoke and he nodded, agreeing with her.
