Hey there, I was wondering if anyone else here had gotten a chance to listen to this pianist. Right now I'm listening to the album "Pandora" with Ozone on Piano, James Genus on bass, and Clarance Penn (OMG) on drums with Branford Marsallis as a guest on a few tracks.

He's actually a really nice guy. We had him as an artist in residence for a week at my school and I got a lot from him. An interesting background story about him:
Back when he was young, he idolized Oscar Peterson, to the point where he could play pretty much all of his recorded solos and sound just like him. When he came to Berklee, he realized that he just sounded like an immitator and re-built his style, starting historically from the ground up (IE, going back to stride piano and moving foreward from there.)

Impressive if he idolized Oscar Peterson and imitated him till he revamped himself i know i'm gonna like him!

THat's a really neat story, and it sounds like it would be a good album. I'll have to check it out.
