Natty: It was a nice, early afternoon at a watering hole, a soft breeze blowing by every now and then. As always, animals of different shapes and sizes migrated toward the life-bearing liquid to quench their thirsts. This was no exception to a small lioness, who had arrived some time ago. She had already gotten her fill of the cool liquid and was now laying near some bushes, cleaning her paws so not to make any of the grass eaters nervous about coming to the water to drink as well. Though she knew she ate these creatures, she was still kind enough to let them drink when she didn't need them at the time being. Besides, she needed them to be healthy to give her a good run when she did decide to hunt them.

Kiya:A beautiful day, in the mostly purple lions eyes. He loved most days. Rainy or sunny. Anything that showed the worlds beauty. Storms, he even thought were pretty. Though sometimes they didn't make the land pretty with the occasional fire here and there. But today was good. The day was nice and warm, with a cold breeze to it.

He could hear the other creatures about moving threw the land. A few trees here and there about the land, but even if they were close they wouldn't hide Narhari's massive body. Mostly because he was bright in colors. Which went well with his personality. His dull light purple eyes scanned the area, looking for a nice drink and be on his way.

He smiled at every creature he saw, for when he wasn't hungry they were all his friends. He hated every moment when he had to kill one, but it was what he has to do to survive. He only really picked off the weaker ones, the ones he knew wouldn't last a winter, leaving the other's there to live out their life until someone else decided to end it. He hated fighting, so he avoided all other's who seemed they might attack if looking at them wrong.

He didn't realize that there was a female lion in the mist of the other creatures. But he really hadn't ran into a female before. At least not for a long time. He didn't really know how to act around them, so he tended to go a different direction when he picked up one's sent, but the wind was working against him today. It was going away from him not towards him.

Funanya murred deeply as she continued to lick at her giant paw pads. She stopped only to look up at the chattering monkies over head. It seems she had been spotted and posed as a threat. She just shook her head as she stood up, stretching out her back legs. It looks like her rest was interrupted. Looking around, she can already see the other animals looking around for their 'enemy' and she frowned a bit. With a frown, she turned to walk off, but her ears perked when she took scent of a male lion heading this way. Perhaps he was the reason the monkies were making such a ruckus? With that, she lowered back into the bush, but slunk to the edge so she can peek around the bush to see who it was that was coming this way.

Narhari still didn't pick up anything. Just hearing noises from the creatures around. "No need for this, my friends, I've not come to harm any of you." He spoke in a gentle and kind voice. At least the kindest and gentlest one he could from his slightly deep voice. He shook his white mane as he walked by the bushes that the lioness was hiding in that he didn't know of. "I'm just hear for a drink, and my feet shall carry me else where." He told them as he edged closer to the watering hole.

His tail twitched back and forth, making only his tail fluff move really. Such silly creatures making such a fuss over him. He was more their friend then any other lion he'd ever encountered. But who knew, there had to be other's similar to himself. When he reached the water, he sat down, paws not touching the water, but close enough to where he could have his head over it to lap in some water.

Of course, he wasn't perfect, and as he went in to get some water, his mane dangled in it as well. Causing a bit of brown with in his very bright white mane. Nothing he couldn't clean up later. For now, water was more important then clean fur. His eyes shut as he started to lap up the water. Still obvious to the other that was now behind him. It wasn't like he was looking for another lion, so he really couldn't tell exactly what to smell for.

Green eyes blinked when she saw the purple male come her way. She had a feeling that she wasn't the one being chittered about, she was hiding in the bushes. When the other got close to the bush she was behind, she tucked herself a bit further within it, hoping not to be seen. Now, she's never encountered an aggressive lion before, but she rather not risk the chance of meeting one. But hearing his words surprised her a bit. He seemed genuinely friendly. She turned around carefully, though the bush still rustled slightly, as he walked to the watering hole. When he got to the edge of the water and started drinking, she slowly stood up and stepped out from the bushes. Should she bother him or should she just leave? The question swirled in her mind as she stood there, contemplating.

His ear twitched as he heard something else behind him. Maybe it was someone sneaking up on him, or maybe a friendly creature to thank him for not wanting to kill anything at this moment. He stood up and looked behind him. he looked rather funny with bits of brown on his chin as well as here and there in the front of his mane. Though, he didn't even think about it, no what he saw was something more important then clean fur.

Well, at first he didn't know what he was looking at. Spots... Well mostly spots. White, some black, a face.... A lion face... Female lion. He just stood there looking her, now realizing that it was a female. What was he suppose to do? Say something? What if he said the wrong thing? Run away? Then if anyone saw him they'd think he had some type of fear of females. Well, it kind of was in a way. He was just shy around them.

Just as she had decided to leave him alone, the male had stood and turned toward her. Her own head had moved back to look at him. Mainly purple, with some darker purple, white... and a bit of brown? She quickly concluded that it was probably from the water. It seemed he had a few stripes as well. He sure was interesting. She couldn't help but think. The moment of silence lasted a bit longer before she finally broke it. Bowing her head, she greeted him with a warm smile. "Hello."

Now he had to talk. But what to say? Well of course he knew what to say. "H-hi." He replied. He was still standing mostly his back to her with his head turned looking at her. After a few moment's it wasn't very comfortable, which his body protest for him to stand there any longer. And in doing so, he moved to where he was fully facing her. Shaking his mane, the bits of brown flung off, leaving a light tan hard to see stain. Of course fix able when he'd clean himself later.

"I.... er... wasn't intruding?" He didn't know this land, didn't smell any pride markings. So he was sure he didn't wander in an area he didn't belong, but he could also have been mistaken. Sometimes it was easy to over look an area if not marked well. Not that he'd ever say the land was not marked well,

As he shifted into a better position, she stepped fully out of the bushes, flicking some leaves from her tail tuft lightly. Once they were both 'settled', she smiled to him once again and shook her head at his question. "Of course not, this watering hole is free for everyone to partake of." She told him softly.

Well, that was a relief, he thought. Though only a slight one. He was becoming more and more embarrassed. "Err, Well that's good." he said with a chuckle. "I thought I had wondered into someone's pride." He said honestly. He didn't lie, or at least he didn't lie as much as he could get away with it. If the situation presented itself, he'd lie if need be. He wasn't sure what else to do now, but instead of letting the silence fall upon them again, he decided an introduction was needed.

"I'm Narhari." He told her. Giving a slight head incline. "Pleasure to meet you." he told her. Though he was just saying whatever came to the top of his head. Though it was a great pleasure and honor to meet another lion in his eyes. As well as he was trying to cover his own a** for being shy.

She shook her head yet again. "No, no pride around here, otherwise I wouldn't be around myself." She replied, giving him a slight giggle. The lioness couldn't help but notice how nervous, or at least, shy the male was around her, but she just found that more endearing than anything else as she smiled warmly at him.

At his introduction, she lowered her head in a small bow to him. "It's also nice to meet you as well Narhari, I am Funanya." She introduced, ears flicking just slightly as a fly buzzed about it.

"Well, you can never be sure when seeing someone for the first time." he said in response. Which was true. He had no way to know that she was a rogue such as himself. Though, he should assume that before assuming they were part of a pride. Though, didn't most lions have prides? He never knew he was driven off at a young age to survive on his own.

Which to him was what he thought was best. "That's an interesting name." he stated without realizing it could have been rude. "I mean... not in a bad way... as in it's good, I think." He said. Just when he thought he was getting comfortable something else popped up to ruin it. He gave a nervous chuckle and looked else were then the lioness in front of him. His tail twitching abit.

"Well, I guess that's true. But I'm sure that most would give one fair warning if one were trespassing." Nanya replied. To be honest, she wasn't quite sure if that's what happened, she's never been a part of a pride, nor has she ever run across one. She hoped that she didn't give bad advice to the male, she would feel terrible if it was because of her and her guess that he had gotten hurt. At his comment about her name, she smiled warmly, but giggled lightly when he tried to correct himself. "It's quite alright, I knew what you meant and I thank you. You have a lovely name as well."

"I guess you could be right. I wouldn't know." He said honestly again. "I don't plan on finding out either." He added. Prides you had to stay in one spot. He was more for wondering around and enjoying all the beauty the world had to offer. Of course, eventually he'd have to settle down, but not any time soon. He felt warm as she laughed at him. Was that a good thing? He wasn't sure. He'd never had sisters when growing up. In fact, he never had brothers either. He was the only child as far as he could tell. "Well, at least you didn't think I was trying to insult you....." He chuckled nervously.

She tilted her head at what he said, but didn't really say anything about it. She just figured, to each their own and if he didn't want to interact with any prides, then that was up to him... not her. It wasn't like she was his mother or anything. Right now, the only thing she wanted to see from him was that he was actually comfortable around her. So far, it was going slowly, but at least he hadn't run away, right? "I rarely ever take the word 'interesting' as an insult. Besides, I knew you weren't trying to purposely insult me."
