You wander through a broad, open landscape rid of landmarks and any signs of civilisation. Only the wind keeps you company along your way - a mild wind that only slightly manages to ease your suffering connected with the fact the sun mercilessly burns the surface. You believe this would be the end of your journey... but then you discover something unexpected...
Before you appears an old, crumbling image of a building. The fact it stood in the middle of a wasteland, forgotten, already called out for you to be cautious. You approach - knowing this might be the only shelter you'll ever come across in this scorched land. As you close in to the wooden structure - lacking windows, bearing holes in its walls and owning a door that barely lives up to its former role, you notice a note, oddly pinned to the wood with a knife.
The note reads:
"To whoever managed to reach this place alive. Do NOT speak your wishes out loud carelessly! Don't even THINK about them happening! This place grants them! It really does!
I and a couple companions of mine found this place after wandering through the tight pass in the mountains south of here. We were relieved to find this place after crossing the forests and hoped this would be a good place to stay in and rest before moving on. It all started out quite humbly. Wishing for water and suddenly finding it in a glass on the table nearby. Asking for light and suddenly finding the whole place neatly illuminated. It all became worse later. If only George managed to stop himself for wishing for gold...
This place dares to twist your wishes horribly should they be greedy or benefit you greatly in some way! The final effect caused this place and the vast surroundings to be spoiled, burned to ashes. The only reason for it - should no one else manage to find it!
Let me warn you one more time, traveller:
1. Whatever you wish for here will be granted (you may act it out as if it happened)
2. Whatever you called with your wish may not be wished away (you cannot just wish for the forest you formerly wished for to disappear)
3. Wishes may not harm independent beings ("I wish for Bob to die" won't work, unless -check point 6.- )
4. Some wishes may backfire! ("I wish for Bob to die" might actually become a death wish for yourself!)
5. Wishes spoken in an inappropriate way won't work ("me wunt munyz plz" has no chances of working)
6. Should you become target of another player's wish ("Bob 1 wants Bob 2 to become a salt statue"), you may or may not play along with that wish. In such a situation, feel free to alter the wish further, playing with it as long as you like or simply cancel it BEFORE it is agreed to take effect on a player. It's your game, your world. Do note that even though this rule allows you to cancel wishes targeted at players (which is something you discuss among yourselves), you are still unable to simply cancel wishes that are spoken/thought of about the environment, NPC or an object)
I do believe you won't repeat the mistakes of the group that arrived here before you."
The note is signed as "The dragon summoned by the scent of gold".
Will you keep the warning in mind? The place is yours to explore and alter!

Some final words:
You may be whoever and whatever you wish from the start of your activity in this thread. Everyone is allowed to participate from any given moment of the scenario - the only rule is literacy and decent development of your entries. Well, as long as you won't write one-liners in an excessive matter and/or use common internet abominations ("so I herd u liek" and similar structures) - you're fine.
Enjoy the thread - it's really, really, REALLY freestyle.
Some posting guidelines:
1. Common entries may be kept in any style.
2. Keep OOC (Out of Character) limited, clearly marked or take it to PM's. This applies to asking questions about the thread as well.
3. From now on, all posts are considered IC (In Character) unless stated otherwise by the writer.
4. Document + brown font - I'd like to ask you to avoid such formatting. I'd use it for some event work if such would appear needed.
