Hello my name is ______________! (Insert Gaia Username Here) I'm trying out for the Triforce Legion announcements, and I really hope you choose me.
I find myself qualified to do these announcments because: (insert your reasons.)
Here are the two selected things that I will read aloud for my Trails.
First, is an exerpt from Brisingr, by Christopher Paolini
"It was nearly a mile from where Eargon started to the south gate of Tronjheim, He covered the distance in only a few minutes, his footsteps loud upon the stone floor. As he ran, he caught glimpses of the rich tapestries that hung above the arched entrances to the corridors on either side and of the grotesque statues of beasts and mosters that lurked between the pillars of blood-red jasper that lined the vaulted avenue. The four-story-high thoroughfare was so large, Eragon had little difficulty evading the dwarves who populated it, although at one point, a line of Knurlcarathn stepped in front of him, and he had no choice but to leap over the dwarves, who ducked, uttering startled exclaimations. Eragon savored their looks of astonishment as he sailed over them. With an easy, loping stride, Eragon ran underneath the massive timber gate that protected the southern entrance to the city-mountain, hearing the guards cry "Hail Argetlam!" as he flew past. Twenty yards beyond, for the gate recessed into the base of Tronjheim, he sped between the pair of giant gold griffins that stared with sightless eyes toward the horizon and then emerged into the open. The air was cool and moist and smelled like fresh-fallen rain. Though it was morning, gray twilight enveloped the flat disk of land that surrounded Tronjheim, land upon which no grass grew, only moss and lichen and the occasional patch of pungent toadstools. Above, Farthen Dur rose over ten miles to a narrow opening, through which pale, indirect light entered the immense crater. Eragon had difficulty grasping the scale of the mountain when he gazed upwards."
The next thing I will be reading is a simulated announcement that might appear somewhere.
"Hello, I'm reading the announcments for July twenty-sixth, two thousand and eight for the Triforce Legion. I'd like to take the time and say that the problems in the Wii connectivity forum were fixed, and that the mods are working hards to make sure it never happens again. Don't forget to check out everything in the Guild every once in a while, for their might always be an unannounced Guild Brawl Tournament or something. Other things that were resolved were the problems with the Moderator tool bar. There isn't that much for this week, but we promise to bring you some full scale reporting next time. ~ *Username here*"
These have been my auditions. I know that if these weren't very good, Angelus will give me a nice, non-flaming critique on what I can improve. I believe I put forth my _____ level of effort for this task.
