Kiya:Narhari was on just another mood to wonder. Having no one to really be around, having no family, no friends for the moment, it made it easy to just wonder in no direction in particular. One day, one day he'd have to stay in a single place, but for now, he wouldn't worry about it. And probably wouldn't be able to for a long period of time. He liked to wonder and see the sights the world had to offer.

He was odd to most. Having bright purple fur, and dark purple markings, a white mane belly, and tail fluff. Though, he loved the way he looked. He wasn't really an egotistical b*****d, so he flaunted his smexy a different way then most other males. He knew he was pretty, but he didn't take it far to where he was a b*****d about it, or even flirtatious. In fact, when it came to females, he was a bit shy around them.

Kieko: The male cheetah had overheard a pair of others, one of whom wore a dark symbol on their back leg, of the developing cheetah coalition in the distance. The symbol on their leg was a mark which symbolised their bond with the group. It showed that they were a member of the family and was a cue to all other cheetahs that they could be a key inside the group.

While he was unable to bring himself towards the strangers and question them on what he had overheard, he believed that the growing group could be his chance to prove himself. The coalition was something inspiring. It was something he would appreciate being a part of, where he might help make a difference in the long run.

While the sun reached the highest part of the sky, the cheetah decided it would be best to find a shaded place in order to rest, or seek out a watering hole to get something to drink. He was close now, he could feel it. Wouldn't help anything to get there and pass out. As he made his way towards the shelter of a tree, a strange purple figure could be seen in the distance.

Narhari was never worried about the hot days. In fact, he felt rather cool, but needed a place to rest anyways. Seeing a bit of shade, and not the cheetah that was heading there, he thought he was still alone. Not seeing many creatures on his journey. Or at least running into any. He really didn't know how to act around others. At least not yet.

As he got closer, he finally noticed the cheetah there. Stopping, he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing, or if it was male or female. "Hello there." He simply said with a smile. He'd figure it out in only a matter of moments. He'd keep his gentleman side to him until the other was rude, unless a female. He'd always be kind to females.

"Lovely day, no?" He asked pleasantly. So the other would know that he wasn't a threat at all. Some lions gave them bad names, and he was determined to change some views upon his race. Lions were all bad, hell, he'd never seen a mean one yet. Guess he was just lucky.

Unlike many members of the coalition, Zikomo had no issues with lions beyond his understanding that they were both different species and typically kept to themselves. He understood that cheetahs did not adapt well and that lions were the dominant species of the savannah. This was his reasoning to join the coalition. It was safety, shelter, food and company with others that he could relate to.

Because of this, when Narhari began conversation, Zikomo looked to him strangely as though he spoke a foreign language. It was the cheetah's first interaction with someone other than his kind. Looking over his shoulder as though to make sure the lion was actually speaking to him, Zikomo returned his gaze slowly.

"It is hot." Was all he answered, not understanding what made this day so much special than any others. He was going to visit the Duma'Chama, but this lion couldn't know that. Right?

Narhari didn't think that lions were dominant. But, he was a bit blind to everything around him when it came to which species was at the top of the food chain. To him, any feline had the right to be at the top and they were all equal. But, his views were much different then everyone else.

Narhari didn't know else to say at the other's reaction. He was getting slightly uncomfortable with the situation now. Feeling as if that maybe other species of felines spoke different languages. Of course, who really knew what other language was there to speak? He sure didn't. When the other finally made word, he felt better.

"Well, that's why it's a good day. The sun is out, and the world is seen at a more bright picture." He said with a smile. "It shows the true beauty of the land." He said now knowing the other was a male. At least he didn't say something that would call the other a female. He was glad he didn't. It probably would have gotten his a** kicked.

Zikoma lifted an eyebrow again at the manner in which the lion spoke. The lion seemed to be such an optimistic fellow with a very positive outlook on both the day and life in general. While the cheetah was not used to being in the company of someone else, let alone a lion, he knew that it would be rude to simply leave the lion without a word or leave him hanging at the end of a conversation.

Glancing away towards the direction in which he was headed, Zikoma said calmly. "My name is Zikoma. What brings you here?" The cheetah was on his way to the cheetah coalition and believed those lands were far from any lion prides or groups of other animals. Perhaps he was farther away than he believed. If that were the case he would want to leave sometime soon so that he could travel farther. For a moment his uncomfort with the situation seemed more inspiring than his tiredness.

Returning his gaze towards the lion, he looked curious. "Do you know of a watering hole nearby?"

"Grand to meet you, Zikomo. I'm Narhari." He stated. He wasn't sure how to take the other's odd behavior. Or at least to him it was odd. Weren't other's suppose to be happy, or act happy another was happy. He thought smiles were contagious. He let another smile cross his face. "Nothing, yet everything brings me here."

In other words, he had no answer for why he was here. Or why he had run into the male. It was just what faith wished of him for the moment. He wasn't really religious, but he did believe in gods. He heard many stories about them. How most the time you didn't even know they were gods cause they looked like everyone else.

"My feet simply took me where I need to be. Weather that is a good thing or not, I have yet to find out." He simply said. "So far, I've yet to have problems. So i guess I'm doing much better then I should be doing?" Of course that wasn't a question that was directed really towards the cheetah male. "I must say, I haven't seen a creature such as yourself. Pardon me, if that seems rude. And no I don't know where water is...."

While Narhari's effort to make the cheetah male smile seemed to have failed, it did create a more friendly atmosphere between the two. Zikomo took a seat where he was and tried to make himself comfortable. The tall tree that shaded him was big enough for the two of them if they didn't sprawl out too much. Looking beneath him, the cheetah made sure that the lion could join him if he'd want to. Shade was precious on a traveller's long journey and Zikomo wasn't the type to deprive someone of that gift. The lion's answer to his question didn't quite answer anything, though it was curious and provoked thought. "I understand," Zikomo said finally, having been quiet during Narhari's speech. "During my travels I followed whatever path that inspired me. I did not have a purpose to go anywhere. My entire motivation was survival. We were both lucky then."

Zikomo was quiet again when he thought of how to respond to the male's comment of having never seen a cheetah. While the male cheetah did not interact often with the other competing predators of the savannah, he did observe their behavior and know of them. This lion seemed to have lived a more sheltered life than he did! Finally letting a slight smile spread across his maw, Zikomo tried his best to explain himself, "I don't think you're rude at all. I know of lions, but I suppose this is my first conversation with one. I'm a cheetah, alone cat like yourself. Our kinds typically stay in lion-only or cheetah-only groups, though i've seen much more mingling in recent years.."

He moved towards the shade with a smile on his face, even if the other hadn't laughed or smiled, it was good enough for him. At least they weren't being hostile. He sat down next to the cheetah, enough room for them both to lay down without any problem. He turned his head towards the other as he started to talk. Giving a nodd in his answer. Not much to really say to what he had said, but at least he could sit there and listen to whatever else he had to say.

He had run into another cheetah recently, but he wasn't sure what she was either. She was mean and tried to kill him. Though Narhari could have easily taken her down, he wasn't one for fighting. Especially against females. "Oh? Well My pride is a mix of lions and hybrids." He told the cheetah. "Though all types are welcome. I just haven't seen many cheetahs. I'm actually just wondering around learning the land's ways before heading back. See, I can memorize things, and my pride uses it for their advantage of keeping us safe."

Zikomo watched as the strangely colored lion took a seat beside him. It was a strange wonder to think of how he ended up resting beside such a different creature. During his life Zikomo had rarely encountered other cheetahs, let alone other species. It was almost ironic that on the day he sought out the cheetah-only coalition he would become friendly with a lion. Perhaps it was a sign that things between cheetahs and lions hadn't really become as bad as the cheetahs from this particular group might have feared. Whatever it was, it was an amusing thought.

When Narhari began to explain his own group's culture and ways, the cheetah listened curiously. It was interesting. He had ideas as to the organization of other prides and groups, but really knew little of them, having never met any of their members before. "That is interesting. I've seen a lot more hybrids lately," Zikomo said this rather uneventfully, obviously having no opinion on the matter. Once Narhari had finished, the male cheetah nodded, a friendly smile finally working its way on his muzzle. "That is really fascinating actually. I think having someone to hold information is very important. I can only hope that i'll have as important a task where i'm headed."

"Even the most simple task is important for any pride." He spoke with a nod. "Even if it might not seem like it. You take it away, and it can ruin a pride." He said with another nod. "Yes, I haven't really seen a hybrid up close, but I'm sure they are just as pleasant as most others." He chuckled. Narhari knew there wasn't very nice creatures out there, and he wasn't about to pretend either. His pride was about beating that part out of the world, or at least trying to even it out so that the order is fixed.

He was sure that not all species could live like his pride, but at least this male was being civilized towards him. Narhari would never single out another type of feline, or canine for that matter. Even if they looked at him as something less then acceptable.
