This inspired by a similar thread on Dimensions.

Can anybody bring to mind movies with a fat protagonist whose conflict/main issue doesn't center around her weight and/or weight loss efforts?

I'm putting down Hairspray with Tracy Turnblad, but off the top of my head I can't come up with much more.

Eh. I'm going to disqualify Norbit because the film is fat-negative and is an Eddie Murphy Trainwreck cross-bread with a comedy hellhole.

Big mama's house doesn't count cuz it's just a man in a fat suit. xp

Yeah...I don't know who thought Eddie Murphy in a fat suit was going to be a hit. But I will say I watched it. sweatdrop And parts were funny...moreso for the fact that the main charie was a b***h. And my aunt and uncle (both fat) walk around the house going "How yuuu doin'?" at awkward moments, like the chick off of that movie. And if nothing else that inspires laughs. But my laughter is easy to provoke and comes freely.

Back to the matter at hand. I liked that show Less than Perfect. The main charie reminded me of my best friend and Sherie Shephard's character was a lot like me when we were in high school and early college. lol

I will also say Dreamgirls. There were problems because of her weight...but more problems because of her personality. lol
