Mwenye-Heri Tarishi had left the swamp for the first time since she'd returned from her naming quest, and was once again padding through unfamiliar territories. This time, however, she wasn't looking for revelations - like her brother Narindima'moyo, her mother had charged her with searching for new blood for the pride. So far, though, she'd been unsuccessful, but she was hoping that would change soon.

(*posted once but Gaia ate it D<* XD)
Nyack was out seeking the Goddess Sanna. After all, his leg had healed up nicely and it was time to repay her for repairing it. His son was left with the the troupe for training, giving him a much needed break.
He shook his green mane and padded on through the tall grasses of the savanna. Surely the Mountain that let off black smoke was somewhere near by. Or was it a cave? Oh darn it.
He lifted his ears as he spotted what looked to be another lion just up ahead. He grinned. He wasn't against asking directions. He drew closer, keeping his distance should she prove unfriendly, and called to her. "Excuse me! Um I hate to bother you but may I ask you a question?"

Shishi lifted her head at the sound of a voice, pausing for a moment to take in the sight of the other lion. Why, he had a lovely green mane! Imagine that! But what was it that he wanted?
"Of course!" she replied amiably, clearly curious.

The male looked a bit embarrassed. "I'm looking for the mountain that has black smoke coming from it. As though it were on fire but I can't seem to find anyone who knows where it is. Do you?" He asks as he approaches her with a curious and kind expression.

"A...mountain on fire?" Shishi blinked owlishly. She'd never heard of such a thing! "No, I can't say I've seen one. The only mountains I've seen were perfectly normal."

This information seemed to disappoint him. He started to pace slightly then glanced around. "I promised a Goddess I would pay her back but I can't find where she lives." He put his ears back slightly then sighs. Oh well! He cheers up almost instantly, giving her a smile. He'd find it eventually. "Well thank you for your help." He responded, "I'm sorry for bothering you!"
The young male didn't seem keen on leaving just yet. Maybe she could prove to be the female he was searching for. He gently approached her, keeping his distance. "I'm Nyack..." He informed her, "What's your name?"

"A Goddess?" The lioness tilted her head, ears swinging forward with curiosity. "I know a Goddess, but she doesn't live on a mountain. She wouldn't be the same one you're looking for."
"Mwenye-Heri Tarishi," she answered with a smile, "Shishi for short."

"Probably not... The Goddess I am looking for is named Sanna. She helped fix my leg when I broke it." He motioned to his black left leg with his head.
"Shishi...?" He repeated then smiled. "That's a lovely name. Its nice to meet you. Are you from here? Or is there a pride nearby?"

"Definitely not the same, then." Shishi shook her head. "Mama Bwawa is the Goddess I know."
"Nice to meet you, too," she echoed. "Oh, I'm from back that way, from the Jini-misemi," she answered then, indicating the direction with a turn of her head. "You?"

"No I guess not..." He gave a tilt of his head. "Mama Bwawa? What is she Goddess of?" He questioned, ever curious.
He gave her a well meaning smile. "I have never seen the Jini-Misemi. I'm from a trope of animals called Chowke. I'm the only lion beside my son in it."

"Swamps," she answered simply, before tilting her head curiously. "You're in with...cheetahs and things?" Well, if he was already in a sort-of pride and had a son, he probably wouldn't be interested in joining the Jini-misemi...which was a bit of a pity, given his lovely green mane. She'd always rather envied the swampies with things like brown and green on them.

"Swamps? I've never been there." He chanced closing the distance between them. "Yes, our leader is a cheetah named Taban. He's a great leader." He smiled warmly, respect in his eyes for the other feline. "Well let me see... There's hyenas, a wild dog, two cheetahs and my son and I." He responded looking up slightly as he thought.
Once he was finished he glanced back down at her, tail flickering. "What about you? Are you in a pride?"

"They're the most wonderful place there is," she claimed happily, but added, "As long as you don't mind water or being dirty, anyway. But I grew up there, so nowhere else ever seems quite right." Shishi absorbed the information about his pride curiously. She'd never properly met any of those things, and likely never would - why would a lion live anywhere but with lions?
The lioness nodded. "My mother's Queen of the Jini-misemi. I'm out here looking for lions who might want to come back with me."
Or a sibling, if she happened to stumble across one.

He listened just intently to to the female, curious. "I don't mind either really... Well that's the way it felt for me. Before I met my troupe." He tilts his head and frowns. "Well as great as your pride sounds I can not return with you. I have a son waiting for me... but if there's anything I can do." He offered with his ears back.

Shishi was ready to assure him that that was alright, and that she was sure she'd find someone somewhere, when an idle sort of thought occurred to her. Her tail flicked in the dry grass, and was the only sound for several moments while she mulled over the impulse. The worst he could do was say 'no.'
"Anything?" Her mother had found rogues to have cubs with...why couldn't she?
((We can sort of umm...fade, if you want?))
