How do you do your hair for class and performances?
I have long, wavy hair that tends to get frizzy, and doing the usually ponytail-twist-wrap bun can be challenging. My favorite style is to braid my hair and twist the braid into a bun. If I'm feeling silly, I may do pigtail braids and make a small bun on each side of my head. 4laugh
I heard about rolling a trouser soock into a dounut shape then using that as a form to wrap your hair around, but I'm not sure how that's supposed to work exactly...

i have long straight hair that doesn't do right. i always have to redo my bun at least twice before it's nice and neat.
i don't know how to do anything other than make a twist/cinnamon roll bun. i have lots of fly away pieces to i use hair spray and sparse bobby pins to keep those controlled (if not i wind up looking like dagwood from blondie).
i always put on a different hair accessory (decorative clip, pin, ribbon, or headband) in my hair every day to stay keep it interesting. i'm an avid buyer of hair accessories and earrings, just so i can make a nice impression in class each day.

I recently cut my hair, so it's not long enough for a bun right now (unless my mom does it, but then I think she pulls it tight enough to make more grow! xP) Anyway, before I cut it, I had to brush it all back (it's parted down the middle) and put something in it to make it unfrizzy and just put it up however my hair will let me that day

Your hair sounds a lot like mine, It's shoulder length wavy/sometimes curly and always frizzy. I usually just make a regular bun, but I always wear a headband.

Our teacher isn't too picky about our hair so I just put it in a pony tail then wrap around into a bun-- no bobby pins, hairspray ect ect and just fix it when it falls out... lol

Put it in a ponytail, twist, secure. Wrap hairnet around bun to deal with sticky outies, secure. Pin back bangs, or wear a headband. Secure. My hair is so easy. ^^

It depends how much time I have. Anywhere from a simple bun to something like this (I was inspired my SWAN, mehehe). This isn't me, though.

I have shoulder-blade length wavy/curly hair (depending on the day). I'm super picky about my bun, and it has to be perfect or I'll take it out and redo it... I do a ponytail, twist and wrap the twist into a bun shape and secure with another ponytail ring. Then out come the pins to make it beautiful!

it is soo annoying to put youre hair in a bunn :[ and my dance teacher requires buns, and for the recital, no parts, pulled back, no "wispies"(sp?), no bangs, tons of gel, hairspray, bobby pins, and hairnets.
usually ppl in my class seem to hair their bun so easy with just bobby pins, but for me, its bobbypins & hairnets, or nothing.
its so annoying bc if i have no part, i usually have to straighten it bc my hair is puffy, thick, and wavvy, when my hair is not straightened, its in a low pony, if its in a high, its straightened. down, straightened.
soyeah, if im lazy ill do a part and put it in a pony tail, twist it, and then put thousands of bobby pins, but other times i bend my head over, flip my hair over, and pull it into a pony tail and finish with bobby pins, hairspray, etc.
i dance 4 days a week, 1 of those i can have my hair down, [cuz its a different teacher] and when we have competition practice, i dance 6 days a week, so my hair is in a bun the majority of the week :3
