So, just a few minutes ago my mom was online as I was eating a kabob for dinner. She makes a cowbell reference at one point, and I say that I've never gotten what that meme was referencing.
So... then she goes on to Youtube, to show me. She looks through all the different videos, and she's unable to find the Saturday Night Live skit. Eventually, she decides on showing another skit, this time involving Sarah Palin. But, she has trouble finding an intact version of that skit, too.
Eventually, she finds a video that starts out like the skit, and then goes "Okay, here it is".
Unfortunately...
"We're no strangers to looooooooooooove.... you know the rules, and so do I!"
Yup. She got Rickroll'd. Our reaction was pretty funny, as both of us weren't expecting it. She let out a loud groaning noise that blocked out the lyrics at first, then she pretended to dance to it, saying that she grew up with that song, but eventually clicking to another page. I was laughing my a** off, and saying "You just got Rickroll'd, man!".
She said that she's given up on Youtube for the day, however.
So... yeah. Just thought you should know. XD

 xd that meme is the best one evar. I saw it for the first time when we played the song on rockband once and i mentioned i didn't get it. My boyfriend promptly dragged me down the stairs and showed me.
xd
after that, i started "exploring the space" whenever we played that song, since i do the vocals and get to play cowbell biggrin
srsly, look it up, it's hilarious.
On another note, i was reading a webcomic (looking for group) and they have a character named richard (d**k) and, in this one comic they're in the middle of a battle (because it's abour wow), and he breaks out into that song, and then at the end throws fireballs at everyone and says "you just got dickrolled!" xd it made me giggle.
