The first time it happened to me and my girlfriend we both laughed. I mean if you're both having sex you should be completely comfotable with it anyway. I understand if she was embarrassed because she didn't understand it, but other than tha its really not a big deal.
It happens when air is allowed into the v****a while it's expanded from the p***s. At least thas wha i learned about it.
I could have something to do with your size compared to hers, or possibly just the position or changing of positions.

Air gets trapped in the v****a dn gets forced out. Sometimes position helps - for example, if I'm on top, it doesn't happen, whereas it does occasionally in the missionary position. Honestly, though, it doesn't bother me or my partner - we laugh and move on. There's no need for awkwardness or embarassment.

i guess it was just awkward because first off it was the first time its ever happened to her and its the first time ive ever heard a girl do it. other than that we laughed for awhile about it because it happened after we had finished and the whole time i was walking her to school we laughed about it. but she just doesnt want it to happen again

There are things you two can do to decrease the chances that it will happen, but you can never eliminate the possibility altogether.
As others said, it happens when air gets in the v****a then gets pushed back out, usually due to movement. It sounds like a toot, but unlike a toot, most girls don't feel it coming and can't control it at all. It happens to me very rarely. When it does happen, it's always a result of changing positions frequently during sex or getting an exam at the ob-gyn.
So the best thing you two can do is just get used to it happening every once in a while. There are also certain movements (like coughing, laughing, sneezing, bending over, etc.) that push the air out. So after sex or a pap, she can try pushing any air out right away so that it doesn't come out at a more embarrassing time later.

I think it's absolutely hilarious. Some positions are worse than others, just find what makes it happen the least.
But really, if you're that far in your relationship, you should be comfortable enough with the rest of your body functions to be able to laugh it off.

Like others have said, certain positions can make it happen more. For me, the worst ones are; girl on back with legs in the air guy on top holding legs, doggy, umm can't think of any others right now.
It doesn't really happen when I'm on top though.

The times this has happened to me it's mostly when we're both standing and he's behind or when we're doing it "doggy style". I get a little embarrassed for a second, then we both burst into laugh. It's very funny but I prefer if my v****a stays quiet XD
