I sadly haven't played RB2 yet, but based off of the songlist I just looked at, I'd have to say either Almost Easy by Avenged Sevenfold or Girls not Grey by AFI.

"One Step Closer" by Linkin Park, just because I'm a huge fan of them.
As for a song that I've never heard until I played Rock Band 2, I'd have to say "Where'd You Go?" by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Awesome punk-ska song!

Dream Theater's epic-a** "Panic Attack", for sure. But then again, I love DT with an unrivaled passion :p
Second to that would be "Master Exploder" because it's just so AWESOME. I mean, c'mon. You CANNOT hate that song. (I also still can't quite get it right on Expert guitar, which drives me nuts.)

It took me a while to figure out a good way to hit all the chords on expert guitar for Master Exploder.

Never, ever allow yourself to skip the censored parts! Sing through them like Jack Black and Kyle Gass would want you to! xd
