I ventured into my local EB games not too long ago and noticed two things.
One; There was nolonger a play station two isle
Two: all the playstation two games are being marked down and herded out like old cattle.
One part of me was like OMFG I am going to spend my whole pay check on games, Wheeeeee!!!! and I was excited to see some of my favorite games at afordable prices.
Being me, I cannot aford a PS3 and really don't want one, to me the PS2 I have has plenty more games out there that I can enjoy and will enjoy, I'm still playing with God of war and prince of persai, they give me hours of enjoyment and while I'm glad to see prices coming down I know that means only one thing.
PS2 games are going to be alot harder to find in the near future, better stalk up now eh? You know what it's like finding a PS1 game? god, they are collectors items now, pay like twice as much as they are actually worth.
I'm excited but also scared and slightly sad, my fav games are going out stalk and and and....It's sad.

Just lastyear is when they threw PS1 games to the side and stoped selling them, and I see it due too the PS3. So I think it will be a couple years before you can wory too much about the PS2 games to become sparse..
Two great series, by the way...

Well (ahem), besides THAT argument.... i think its sad as well that they are running out of stock but there will be a time when a good series has to go sooner or later. Classics will always be there but will be hard to find.

Sony believes a gaming console should last for 10 years. The PS2 has some years left. I don't really remember when it came out.

Actualy there are E-bay stores you can buy some PS1 games brand new....wich is cool, I just bought Final Fantasy 8 & 9...I wish I could get 7, but its lowest price was 60 dollars... stare
Anyway, some games, so don't expect PS2 games to go out so quickly...
I also plan to get Chrono Cross soon...November maybe, because next month comes LBP, new controllers and a headset... biggrin

I have no idea if it was official or anything but i remember hearing that Sony are going to stop supporting the ps2 in North America and cut back on Europe. But continues to use the ps2 on South America and Asia.

Ryuna_08 i wish i could afford a head set there not that expensive i have 3. I have 3 because when i got the ps3, even though my internet connection was type 2, my mic wasn't working so I bought several to see if it was the mic. But it turns out it was my connection but i kept all 3 head sets

Ha ha, with my pay checks looking this way and rent looking that way I might not be able to aford games for awhile, but it's comforting that you guys think that the PS2 still has some good years left in it just like I do. my little Bros just can't get enough of the three but I'm still content with the selection in the two. I belive that, overall, the PS3 game I have played were not as long nor as challanging as the playstation two games. I haven't played that many though. my two favs were Lair and Oblivion. Good times in Oblivion. xd
